SCREAM is a TV series which debuted in the US on MTV on June 30, 2015 and concluded on the 1st September. The show is available on Netflix in the UK and other countries.

Season 1 is Written by Jill Blotevogel (Ravenswood, Harper’s Island, Eureka), the pilot starts with a YouTube video going viral, which soon leads to problems for teenager Audrey and seemingly serves as the “catalyst for a murder that opens up a window to [her] town’s troubled past.”

Season 2 premiered on MTV on May 31st 2016 and follows six months after the events of the first season.

I loved the first two movies, wasn't a fan of the third. The comedy aspect was too exaggerated. I've not seen the fourth yet but I just hope the series doesn't get carried away with trying too hard to be funny like Scream 3.

I thought The fourth was really good, especially who the killer was! It's difficult to compare scream 1-3 with 4 as there based two decades apart.

When I first heard that they were making a TV series I thought it's a perfect format. Killer kills a couple of people in the first episode, then over the course of the series a few more get bumped off with the killer being revealed in the finale.

I fear that this will be like PLL and will go on forever. I'm not going to completely cast it aside yet but that's what TV series like this are.

yeah wasn't to sure as a lot of websites having being saying different things, yes the alternative opening was awesome, better than the original scene. I really hope Kirby is still alive as it was never confirmed if she died. I think a two part Scream 5 would be nice to finish the franchise, and then if its really successful then carry on. The latest Chucky proved that a horror franchise can come back and do well after a disappointing previous movie.

I once wrote a Scream 5 book, only got up to the end of the first scene (first murder), I will see if I can find it, but I have a feeling I deleted it.

its only a TV show though, if this was Scream 5 we would be 45% through with the film and probably had about 4 murders so thats why it comes across as a little boring, we potentially won't know the killer until ep13 or we might have to wait till series 2.


I know it was a little dull at times but overall there was some suspense. Its very modern, I liked how at the huge party there wasn't a murder and normally there would defo be one. I also think having sexuality as a theme is also good because scream 1-4 everyone was hertrosexual as far as I can remember, where as the TV series has far more modern elements and embraces different sexuality which is what most society is doing.

The social media element is very compelling, it consistent but not OTT.

Glad we still have the same scream voice.

I'm going to have a wild guess and say its the male teacher who a lot of the students fancy.

Or I think the police officer (sheriff Hudson) would be a brilliant choice for the killer working a long side his son (Kieran) and they have something to do with the guy who got shot in the lake (90s serial killer) and are getting revenge on the mother and daughter.

Episode 3 was so good, i can't believe they killed... Such a good character, her death was so intense.

I think it could be Noah as the killer strangely went away even though she wasn't dead at that time.

It got so tense in episode 4 with the Killers lair. I'm a huge Scream fan, and after watching the first episode of this I was a little sketchy, but I like the casting and the storylines getting better so I've decided to stick with it. I'm also watching the Aftershow on Buzz TV (search it on youtube) sometimes they have cast member on and discuss the predictions.

My prediction is the sheriff because he knows too much, and in the 4th episode just happened to turn up at the killer lair after an 'anonymous tip'... anonymous tip my ass he is so the killer! He also tried to pin the whole thing on Trevor too easily without enough evidence and he is getting too close to EMMA'S mum (the autopsy women) too possibly destroy some evidence. I'm a bit suspicious of Emma's mum too, there's just something about her too and how her and the sheriff are always together. Maybe she's getting revenge after Brandon James got killed (she didn't want the police to harm him) so is carrying on his murders. Anyway I really hope the killer is revealed at the end of this season, Fk MTV if they drag this out! Does anyone know how many episodes are in each season? I'm hoping it's not something stupid like sometimes American shows have 22 episodes.

I totally agree Riley about Sheriff Hudson, he is very dismisses. I'm very suspicious on who the suppose witness was who saw Emma, Audrey and Noah break into the liar, like who would be around some scary old hospital?

My bet is he tracked Emma's phone or has secret cameras in the liar and made the witness up as he knew they were there.

Maggie is also very nice to Hudson, it seems a little odd how she backs him up over Riley's death.

Maggie would be a great killer, as it would be refreshing and unique compared to the films, but so would Sheriff Hudson.

Think there is defo 2 killers, one is stronger than the other.

Nina's death was quite calm and didn't require a lot of strength.

Rachel death was quite extreme and would require a lot of strength as they lifted rachel off the balcony.

Riley's death was again calm - the killer didn't run and didn't climb the ladder, which could suggest an older person as the killer.

Also good to know that Tyler was the first ever first male victim, it's always been a female first.

That was a cool episode, very revealing. I thought the killer could be Will, trying to use his kidnapping to get back with Emma, until the whole death by saw at the end lol. My new suspects are now Piper, Jake and Kieran. I say Piper because she lied saying Will saved her life when the killer stabbed Will before he was kidnapped, when in fact Will didn't save Piper, the killer just didn't stab her (hence the theory she is working with the killer) maybe for podcast ratings, I'm not sure. Then I think it could be Jake because of him having the knife and being really creepy, also he was stabbed in the heart and walks away pretty much scot free? Wtf was that, maybe the killer stabbed him in a non-deathly way to make it look like Jake is a victim, when in fact he's working with him. Then, I think it could be Kieran, because when the killer ran out of the bowling alley at the end Kieran ran into the bowling alley through the same direction, it's too coincidental that he happens to show up when the killer has gone (wow the killer is very fast too). Also because maybe Kieran did't like how Emma went to save Will, and that was the test, and because she saved Will and agreed to go on a date with him to watch the movie he decided to kill Will. I'm starting to disregard my theory of the Sheriff, purely because of the trailer showing the killer about to murder him from behind. It really could be ANYONE at this point apart from Emma, but those are my main suspects. Something is also telling me that there's more to the Mayor, Brooke and Brooke's mum storyline, but this is too much to register. I can't wait until we find out who the killer is because my brain is in overload.

Well that promo puts paid to my theory of the Sheriff working with Piper. I still think that Piper is the second killer but now I'm thinking that the main killer is Kieran. Piper put on the whole concussion thing to rule herself out so she could go to the bowling alley to stab Jake while Kieran gave himself an alibi through the Dinner. There's still the unresolved history between Kieran and the Sheriff from the first episode which hasn't been touched on since then.

it is definitely! If you liked the original 4 you will love this! Only 10 episodes and we get to find out the killer in the first season, so not a huge drag of a TV show.

My theory:

The killer is definitely Piper (at least 1 of them), she is Brandon's daughter. She went to Brandon's mother and told her to say that it was Seth that visited her as she is framing Kieran/Seth, but Brandon's mother was at first going to say Kieran but got nervous/confused (she forgot the whole plan). Piper is trying to blame it on Kieran now as he is better suspect. When Piper came running up to Emma in the party she planned to tell her it was Kieran as it's part of the whole plan, Kieran is a key suspect - she's been inspired by the original murders and framed Emma's boyfriend.

Piper has chosen Seth as a suspect because he is the perfect suspect, but is now framing Kieran as well, she's chosen two to frame because it's obviously 2 killers (her and someone else). She didn't choose Seth as the one that visited Brandon's mother in the end because she had to bring Kieran into the story somehow. I think Audrey has been helping her. The whole reporter thing is a huge cover up and she using it to hide what she is really doing. The reason she didn't get taking at the warehouse is because she is the one of the killers.

Whilst Piper was absent from the party she went to the police station and let Seth free to use him a catalyst and help him suspected as the killer. When she entered the police station no one suspected her as everyone knows her, and this allowed for her to kill off the police officers. Audrey is helping her but at some point didn't want to continue and Piper threatened her and put the mask with her DNA on. She knows the whole plan to frame Kieran/Seth, she was the one trying to get Emma to wake up and realise it's Kieran, and then she got all annoyed because it wasn't working, she got scared it would all be exposed about her and Piper.

It seems odd to why Rachel was killed, it's because she knew all about what Audrey was up to, She killed Nina and Riley as she was jealous of Noah relationship with Riley. Notice how the killer didn't follow Riley up onto the roof is probs because she didn't want to actually kill her (give her a scare, and plus she run out of time). Piper killed Rachel and Will.

The whole news reporter is a great job for Piper to have because it allows her to be at the crime scene and always be around, because it's what everyone would think she would be doing, reporting on the murders.

I agree. I could handle it this time around because at least one killers identity was revealed :laugh: ...but it reminded me a little bit of The Killing when they tried to drag the same case on for two full seasons. I'm not sure I can bring myself to get invested in the same characters again with a TV show like this for another 10 episodes.

It's refreshing to hear that, a fair bit of the criticism towards the show initially was the mask change. :laugh:

The mask actually ties into the mystery really well too, rather than just being a random costume to scare people. :)

I'm not excited at all for Season 2, the story reached it's natural end last season but they've desperately stretched it out and it's just going to be awful.

I've just finished watching the series in like 5 days. I've really enjoyed it. I was a tad dubious to checking it out due to the negative things I've heard and the trashy teen drama feel it had from the clips I've seen of it, and whilst I do think it's quite trashy (in a good way), it's really enjoyable and has some brilliant moments. I like the story line and the mystery behind it all.

The series has some good characters, although the acting is tragic from most of them - but then again I wasn't really expecting much from a cast where Bobby Campo is the only name I knew. I liked Noah, Audrey, and Brooke's characters the most, and I'm glad they are still alive and I'm hoping they're in the second season. Emma grew on me as a character, I wasn't a fan of her at first, but she won me over in the end. Having said that, she is quite bland, especially for a lead character and someone who's supposed to mirror Sidney from the film franchise.

The reveal was disappointing and quite anti-climatic especially as it had a good build-up to it. Although, I'm not sure if that's because I knew who the killer was (DAMN IT MARSH!), so any ounce of surprise I once had was shattered after it was spoiled for me. But I found the ending to be rushed, which was annoying. I was hoping the last episode would be a little longer than all the other ones...cause you know it was the last episode with the "grand reveal". But instead it was 40 minutes like all the other episodes. I also found the reveal lacked any of the suspense that Billy and Stu's reveal had in the original film. It was just Piper taking off the mask, chatting **** for like 10 minutes about what she's going to do Emma and her mum (which is a mistake all of the killers have made tbf) and then her getting shot before she gets a chance to slice Emma open. Even though I knew who the killer was, I found that Piper's character was really strange in the last 2 episodes and I could actually see it myself that there was something about her that wasn't right. Part of me wishes it wasn't spoiled for me so I could see if I had the same feeling if I didn't know it was her. But given how she is in the last 2 episodes, I'm not surprised people guessed it was her before the reveal.

I've rambled on quite a lot :whistle:


But yeah, really enjoyable series. Looking forwards to the second season. I hope it's as good the first, but I agree with Dezzy's post above and how the story line has reached it's natural ending, so I'm looking forwards to what they're going to do in the second season. I just hope it doesn't drag the events of the first season too much.

As long as it still has murders and mystery it should be fine.

Although we need more suspenseful murders, it does lack that imo.

I agree with the murder thing. They may have gore/blood but they lack the suspense of the kills in the movies. Kills like Casey's, Tatum's, Randy's are what the show needs.

Also scrap the diabolical teen-drama storylines. Do we really need a whole segment of an episode featuring Will and Emma's breaking relationship like that in S1. It's too Hollyoak-ish for me and doesn't work well with the show.
