Charley was the best thing about BB8.

They got rid of the spunking dog, they got rid of showing three clips at the top of the show which were double entendres, they stopped making references in every link to sex, the list goes on. Part of the appeal of BOTS was how trashy it was, it isn't anymore. It's far more focused on content (although now with random games thrown in which makes it more like BBLB) and it's a shame. The spin off show should be trashy, it should be irreverent. It was at its height in BB13 and while I still watch it it's nowhere near as funny as it once was

That's exactly what I said, they removed most stuff which didn't directly correspond to discussing Big Brother like drag queens, sketches, spunking dogs, Jamie's little bits etc. They have much less of it now but it doesn't make the show less trashy. It's not upmarket in the slightest.

Also, making reference in EVERY link to sex? That got old after 2 episodes. 3 years on I should think the show is trying something else. :laugh:

Another (which would be very unpopular with most people) is that I think Nikki was very overrated. She could be very funny, I appreciate that, but there were times when she was quite unpleasant that I think gets glossed over because she's Nikki.

Like when she and Grace were being nasty about Susie after she nominated them (with Nikki saying "Why is she even here? She's had her life") and both of them being spiteful and stealing her wine. And when they sang "Beauty and the Beast" (emphasising "beast") at her.

She did and said things that many other housemates would have been hated for. I don't think she was a bad person, but very easily led.

BB1 holds up shockingly well and is definitely my pick for THE old school series to watch, not BB3.

When I watched BB2 for the first time, a few years back. I was expecting to love her, as she was seen as this iconic housemate, and I've seen some of her funny moments on videos and things.

But my god, she was bad. She was nice and bubbly. But she was just ditzy, and quite annoying. I much preferred Narrinder, TBH.

Wasn't a fan of Helen and Paul as a romance, either. I know it was the first ever one and that it was real. But it didn't really catch my attention.

All of that came after Pauline declared her house pariahs (Christopher and anyone unfortunate enough to come in on Day 2) for obscure **** like taking too much chicken or accidentally using a plate from the cupboard instead of the one that she laid out for you. Like, her entire first week was getting her lackeys to isolate Jale and then screaming dumb **** at her like "I'M NOT A DISCUSSER ; I'M A STATEMENTER" while Jale is near tears desperately trying to find any sort of common ground. I have fair opinions.

I can see the flaws in my favourites. Unlike, some, who wouldn't dare to say a negative point about Toya or Ashleigh, even if the evidence hit them in the face.

Yes, Helen was a bully. I don't care. I enjoyed her as a housemate for different reasons.

I'm defending Tamara because, I genuinely believe it is unfair to say she was just like Helen and Pauline in the 9 days she was in the house. When that's not completely true.
But each to their own, I guess.
