Maybe i´m too harsh on the awful thing. In terms of villain tribes, Galu was more than capable on that department. One of those tribes who you love to root against.

On a likability level however... meh.

Don't get your hopes up for Redemption Island, Luke. The season and the twist itself, just like BB16US, it has a good catch and sounds okay but the twist and the cast just ruins everything. Don't expect that much of interesting gameplay or entertainment either,

Redemption Island is literally the worst (I think everyone agrees it's the worst season ever - or at least they should do). They decide to bring back two of Probst's alpha male crushes who were both already overexposed in their previous seasons and then the assemble the blandest/most moronic cast of all time and better yet they distribute most of the airtime to two people and I hate them both. I think it's the only RTV season where I don't have a solid fave because I literally didn't support anyone all season (gun to my head maybe Francesca is my fave??? idk)

Plus I hate the Redemption Island twist because it really lessens the impact of the vote off + torch snuff knowing they can get back into the game. And the person who comes back is always on the outs/a sitting duck.

It really doesn't get much worse than Redemption Island. It's easily the worst season of Survivor and one of the worst seasons in all of reality TV (a few BBUS/BBUK seasons are worse simply because they have many more episodes.) Two TOXIC returning players, a very bad supporting cast, abysmal editing, and a half-assed twist all led to the most predictable, boring, and poorly-edited season of Survivor. It's just horrific.

Watched 5 episodes and i'm 50/50 with this season, unlikeable cast a part from Boston Rob and Stephanie. I like the twist but its not going to make it great. I'm starting to hate these immunity idols it should be harder to find them.. People can find them without clues now. But Vanuatu and Fiji were terrible from start to finish so i prefer R.I atm and i don't think my opinion will change.

Such a pathetic try-hard who was way too desperate for attention and airtime. For once I agree with you. It's an awful season that was basically set up so the producers and Jeff could just worship Rob and literally hand him a million dollars!

Well I'm 50/50 with this season I like it and dislike it at the same time and I understand why people hate it. Pre-Merge It was probably just below Gabon because I did enjoy a bit even though the cast were unlikeable except for Boston Rob and Stephanie at the time. I did like the twist but not that much. They carried the twist post-merge which seemed annoying so it went down in my season rankings but more people were likeable at the time. It was predicable as well but I'm happy Boston Rob won the show and fan favourite because he played a good game imo(it would be boring if everyone had the same opinion i guess) the cast may have been weak/starstruck by him but he has it in him to get far with a strong cast if he does it right. Do i think this is the worse season ever? no... would I watch it again? maybe so. each to their own.

It's not great TBH. Colton is one of the worst contestants ever and the endgame is slightly dull, but the winner is one of the top tier strategic winners whilst it also has one of the best comedic characters in Greg Tarzan Smith.

Yeah One World was very meh. Such an obvious winner come the end, deserving but predictable. Vastly better than both RI seasons and Nicaragua though!

The only fleshed out characters were Russell (a third boot), Matt (someone who literally lived on a separate island for the majority of the game), Phillip (faker than faux fur), and Rob (overaggressive strategist with an obnoxious edit), and it doesn't help that I don't find any of them likable by any means. Ashley, Grant, and Natalie received UTR edits just because they were Rob's lackeys, and pretty much the entire Zapatera tribe received MOR edits because they weren't part of Rob's plan.

Same. Actually both FvF i found a problem with the fans tribe.
In Micronesia I feel like the fans were all pretty weak overall and did not bring any strategising apart from Natalie (who didn't bring much personality)
And in the second I feel like it consisted of a lot of recruits which defeats the purpose of Fans Vs Favs (I still enjoyed this one much more though :spin: )

Micronesia is amazing. Nearly every tribal council was a blindside. It was a great combination of entertainment and gameplay, plus the Black Widow Brigade is the best alliance of all time meanwhile Cirie, Parvati and Catalie are in my all time top 10.

The second fans vs faves was horrible though. Welp atleast it gave us Sherri, Laura, Eddie and Brenda <333

^ It´s probably because of my major dislike of Cirie and Parvati. I understand why people like it, but i just couldn´t process those two, my favorites disappointing me, Fans being generally unbelievably useless and brainless, Favorites steamrolling and the whole Black Widow Brigade alliance cringe fest.

My dislike for Parvati did however lessen majorly on Heroes vs Villains, while on Cirie nothing changed and i rejoiced when she was blindsided.

no he's pretty ****ing bad! Aside from the fact that he's a legitimately repugnant person, he's without a doubt the worst thing to happen to Survivor. I think any Survivor fan who was active in the online community circa 2009-2011 can attest to what a hellish time it was when Russell was "robbed" of the win twice and people were absurdly trying to justify him as one of the best players ever and insist that the game was broken and whatnot.

Lisa's worst crime was grouping up with the most conventionally attractive HMs and trying to have them pull her chariot to the win. Wow what a repugnant person stone her to death11

Compare that to Russell's in-game exploits of lecturing women on how they need to shut up and do what he says if they know what's good for them, parading up and down the beach telling everyone about how Russell Hantz is da greatest player to ever play da game, and somehow receiving an inflated edit and having people agree with him. AND THEN compare that to Russell's post-show exploits of cheating on his wife and dumping his family to shack up with Mikayla Wingle, being friends with Shannon Elkins, and spreading a rumor about Brandon Hantz sucking a dick in a bathroom at an Orlando reality TV convention.
