She’s representing all the gays in this ranking, everyone! Whether they like it or not! I don’t think anyone’s come out of the gates making a stronger first impression on… well, us lot on this show in a while, and since her VT was pretty much her pouting and repeating “I love the UK! I love gays!” on a loop, she was guaranteed to be an early favourite. And that’s where Katie Hopkins comes in. I’m one of the people who feels that Michelle went wrong as soon as she contradicted one of her own mantras by sucking up to Hopkins, and whilst that’s been duly rectified since, it did kind of cast a shadow over her time in the house. Still, that said, she seems like a good person, if not the greatest judge of character. I can’t think of much else new to say in the way of Celebrity Big Brother 15 and it’ll just make me sad if I continue so onwards and upwards, eh?

Grandma Meg will perhaps be better remembered for (quite literally) falling on her face during PoV comps and drunkenly rubbing herself up on Clay whilst crying about how she can’t wait to take him out on the piss in New York rather than her intricate game play, but any friend of James, Jackie and – eventually – Becky is a friend of mine and she’s definitely managed to earn her place as one of your favourite 90 reality stars of the year. Let’s just pretend that there was never any hint of a ‘will they/won’t they’ with her and James in the edit, shall we? Good.

You do make my job difficult sometimes, you lot. “It’s the Perez show!” he cried. I would… beg to differ, but he certainly did a lot in the Celebrity Big Brother 15 house. Whether any of the things that he did were in any way morally defensible is up to you to decide, but I suppose he did wind up Katie Hopkins which judging by her Twitter feed and general aura is actually laughably easy but I’m trying desperately to think of a positive here and that’ll have to do. Back to MS Paint you go, Perez. #teamwill.i.am

Also known as: Godfrey Mangwiza: The Lady Pleaza, The Sleeping Giant, and erm, probably others. Anyway, Godfrey was probably one of the best players in this year’s Big Brother Canada, as evidenced by him finishing runner-up and his ability to play both alliances by the end, showing a strong social game. But I know you’re not really here for that. I know you’re here for that time he managed to successfully flip the house, flip the game, flip Jordan out of the house and set Big Brother Canada 3 on the right track after a fairly shaky start. Who knows who’d have won otherwise? Bruno? Don’t make me larf.

Ah, Sherrie, the walking gif that she is. In the midst of the Farrah/Austin/Jenna/James/Janice/Bobby Davro/#CBBSTEVICHLOEJASMINE-fuelled heat of Celebrity Big Brother 16, it was nice for Sherrie – whenever the editing suite remembered that she existed – to have a little moment, looking appalled at Fatman Scoop asking her if she had a sex tape or lying in the bath drinking her wine or going arse over tit into the bushes in the garden whilst partaking in an otherwise tranquil morning walk. When so much was going on, not all of it intelligible, I can’t begin to tell you how welcome it was to have Sherrie’s jolly face pop up once an episode to tell an anecdote about the time she bumped into Joan Collins in Waitrose and one thing led to another and, well, the wedding reception was lovely (may I also take this opportunity to mourn the (lack of) presence of Gail Porter from this ranking. What could have been </3)

The Big Brother mob get a lot of stick, and if you want to know why, Jenna’s entrance is a good example (see also: Mensah, Adjoa). Heavy boos and chants of ‘who are ya’ for, erm, the world’s most famous porn star. Look at that crowd and tell me that not one of those people watches porn. In fact, going to a Big Brother live show is probably the first time most of them have been out of the house since 1995. They’ve all got right arms like Popeye. Anyway… err, yes. The mob are awful human beings. So how did Jenna Jameson prove them wrong once in the crowd? Join up with another hated housemate and make herself one of the house’s main targets is what she did. And so, Jarrah were born. Credit to the producers on this one, as the secret house twist within a twist within a Twistos Twist was the first original idea they’ve had in years, and it worked to great effect. After all, it gave us Jenna’s now infamous (in perhaps only my mind) “McDonald’s eyebrows” quote. Anyway, the secret house twist twist twist really only made her and Farrah more disliked, both within the house and outside of it (personally I’d have much rather she didn’t buddy up to Austin, but I’m sure my feelings about him are well documented enough by this point), and the two of them were evicted in quick succession, a matter of days apart. Even then, Jenna’s exit was overshadowed by Janice Dickinson’s. Oh well, thanks for the entertainment. And your pure, slightly unnatural hatred of Bobby Davro. Someone had to.

Funny lady sang funny song about crumble. It’s funny, you see? (I actually did like Lorraine Bowen in spite of the fact that even though she was a well-known comedian and circuit performer, the show tried their damndest to make it seem as if a crazy old lady had wandered onto the stage with a microphone and a Two Fat Ladies cookbook. I’ve just written a hell of a lot of these write-ups by this point and I need a sit down). Well done on being the highest-ranking Britain’s Got Talent contestant! (also at this point I was running out of colours to pick, hence why the Survivor and Celebrity Big Brother 15 colours are the same. Not that you’d be able to tell, of course. Ahem)

The Big Brother UK 16 endgame was a bizarre one. In fact, the series of Big Brother UK 16 as a whole was a bizarre one. Nobody knew quite why they were there what they were doing, and so everybody threw as much at out there to see what would stick (it turns out, Amy & Sally, cups don’t stick to walls). That includes the producers. It’s highly likely that the show switched to a new set of producers every few days, given the number of storylines picked up and dropped, the number of housemates picked up and dropped, the times that tasks would be repeated for days on end until somebody behind the screens woke up and decided to press the fast-forward button for a laugh. Quite amazingly, somebody who was there on Day 1 managed not only to survive all of this nonsense, but come out of the rather harrowing experience as the winner. That was Chloe Wilburn. A nice enough housemate in the early weeks, her highlight was probably being the Dark Lord or the Sith Lord or the Dark Knight Rises or whatever it was that she was supposed to be, you know the task I’m on about. The rest of the time, she was a nice, background presence. Then things began to change. Marcqk O’Bloody Neill came in and Chloe showed anger for the first time. Simon “Gross By Name” Gross came in and Chloe cried for the first time (I think? Unless the first week’s egg shortage really got to her or something, idk). As the producers threw more figurative **** at her, she began to come alive more as a housemate, eventually culminating in that glorious occasion when, following the 87th round of face-to-face nominations in one week, Chloe stood up and went around the sofas, pointing out how fame-hungry each of her fellow housemates were (having been nominated for being “normal”. Again, I think, I’ve blocked most of BB16 out). Despite a load of crap being thrown at her in the final week, including a campaign to get her out for some reason – which I had come to terms with when I assumed the series was Joel’s too lose, making me even happier that it failed – she won the thing, and this write-up is making about as much narrative sense as Big Brother 16 did so I’ll be quiet now. Just give the girl her damn fireworks already.

Much like fellow rankee Varner (as opposed to Vana, who we’ll get to in a bit), Kimmi hailed from The Australian Outback, otherwise known as the second season of Survivor, a season seemingly swimming in sibilance. Apparently whilst there she had an infamous fight with Alicia over chickens. My kinda gal. So, yes, Kimmi returned after years away from the show, having been voted in by the public. She aligned herself with Jeremy and Spencer and got far into the game whilst staying fairly quiet, ultimately placing 6th when she tried to break away from her alliance and target Jeremy and Spencer. At the Final Tribal Council, Kimmi called Spencer a bully and told him that she’d use his behaviour to teach her children what never to do and I’d say that justifies her place in this ranking alone. You go girl.

Joseph won the eleventh series of The Apprentice, or as it’s alternatively known, “In Which Lordsugar Takes 12 Weeks to Hire a ****ing Plumber”. His main story arcs seemed to be “Lordsugar, I was expelled from school when I was 15 and now I’m on The Apprentice, whatever that proves”, “I read your book once, Lordsugar, and it’s always a bonus to have a literate business partner”, “I’m really good at stuff, hence why you gave me immunity from a result that only you had a say in, Lordsugar” and “I shaved my moustache off, which made me look slightly less like a 1970s porn star which means I am therefore worthy of going into business with you, Lordsugar” (it didn’t help that the advert for his plumbing business actually ended up looking like a 1970s porno, thanks to Elle (Elle <3) and Mergim (…yay Mergim?)) Anyway, yeah, there was nobody really hateable in this year’s Apprentice – at least, as long as you appreciate the wonder of Selina Waterman-Smith there wasn’t – so the designated ‘not quite hate but maybe extreme dislike?’ figure had to be either Mergim/Natalie (both utterly incompetent and not in an appealing way), David (a grim state in the personality department, please stop following me on Twitter) or Joseph (a bit grimy looking, **** moustache). Looks like that honour went to Joseph.

The large majority of Farrah Abraham’s stay in the Celebrity Big Brother 16 house was incoherent noise, so I’ll try to break it down into something a tad more palatable. Firstly, that launch night dress. Girl knows her audience is all I’m saying. Secondly… well, where do you start, exactly? Certainly Farrah knew where to start, and that was to start an argument with a former member of Atomic Kitten whilst stuck in a Perspex jail two and a half metres in the air and subsequently compare her to Adolf Hitler. May I remind you that I’m still on night one. Afterwards, Farrah made no real attempt to improve public relations, went through the series shouting at everyone (including during Chloe-Jasmine’s nice tea </3), general causing controversy as she did so. And then the house voted her out. Nevermind. She’s still got her boobs jobs. Yes I only just realised that I’d forgotten to finish this write-up and hence why I got through nearly 30 days in the same length as I did just the one, thanks for noticing. Have a lollipop.

A loud, savvy, wine-loving, loud, actually rather competent, half-Colombian, half-Greek loud New Yorker on The Apprentice? Count me the **** in! Granted, I imagine at least some of Vana’s appeal can be drawn from her elaborate and indeed never-ending collection of colourful scarves, but she was one of the more business-minded competitors on this year’s show (by which I mean she could just about read and write), which is at least worth something, right? Watching her rise from the ashes after the attempted arson of a task that was France to build a strong late game alliance with Richard (before disposing him at interviews at the first opportunity) and show Lordsugar what she was made of was quite something, and very nearly made it worth watching The Apprentice 11. It didn’t, of course, but god loves a trier. My personal Vana Highlight was on the property task, in which she didn’t only excel on sales – thanks, in part, to her parents being architects in New York – but delivered on the lulzy front that many of us watch this show for, throwing 99p pink wafer biscuits and Mr Kipling cupcakes at the clients and looking absolutely terrifying whilst telling them that she was doing “Everything. She. Possibly. Can. To. Secure. This. Deal”, grunting and gurning and lord knows what else underneath that table. I also liked the story her sister told in the final 5 programme about how she used to steal her toys and go down onto the streets to sell them, telling their babysitter that she was going to her friend’s house before she did so. My kinda gal. Of course, Vana’s business plan (a Tinder-meets-Boggle app with a dreadful name that doesn’t even bear repeating at this hour of the day) wasn’t great but thankfully she took it upon herself to kill Joseph by stabbing him in the windpipe with her shoe and thus won the title of Lordsugar’s latest business partner by default! Hooray! Did she mention her parents are architects in New York?

-insert that gif of her with a bag saying ‘I do not exist’ on her head that you’re not quite sure whether it’s a gif or not because she’s so still, which is unusual for her because most of the time she was genuinely fun and lively without the need for Prozac which for a Big Brother contestant is both a Biblical miracle and also a bit creepy and so of course because she was rather normal compared to the nutjobs who surrounded her and she was #LovingLife she got evicted by the rest of the nutj-I mean her housemates for a bit of dollar, what a load of bull’s bollocks that result was eh-

Mike was the winner of Survivor: Worlds Apart, a season that in its later stages looked like all hope had been lost (or so I am told), with our Mike surrounded by several different types of human detritus. Oh, and Carolyn. Whilst his personality may have rubbed his Escameca tribemates the wrong way and a gamble made at the Survivor Auction turned his own alliance against him, he managed to make it to do the end and be crowned Sole Survivor. Not only that, but he was among the top 10 male competitors to return for Cambodia, but was disallowed due to his Worlds Apart win. Rules, schmules…

I’ll be honest, I don’t know much about Kass McQuillen and I wrote this particular write-up at a time when my internet was playing up which limited me as far as research is concerned, so I’ll just establish that Kass returned for her second chance at the $1 million prize in Survivor: Cambodia (from her original season, Cagayan) and whilst she didn’t quite get to where she wanted to be, she won you and your hearts over (well, enough so to get her into this ranking. Naeha “Naeha “Slayha” Sareen” Sareen was immediately popular at the beginning of this most recent run of Big Brother Canada 3, but was also seen as a threat because he had a name beginning with N, as did Neda, and erm… that meant something to somebody, apparently. Somewhat of a comp beast, HoH Kevin targetted her in week 3, although Ned-I mean Naeha managed to successfully flip the house in her favour once she knew she was in danger. However, this being Big Brother Canada, there was a Twisto’s Twist involved and unfortunately for Naeha (and I guess Kevin, considering he now wanted to nominate someone else), this was an instant eviction. And considering the alternative would have been to boot out Brittnee, bye bye Nae. Oh and everybody seemed to be counting on her returning later in the game as part of the first five twist, except she didn’t. Sindy did. Lulz.

Ah, Vanessa. Definitely one of the most memorable contestants from BB17, and she certainly ran a good portion of the game. It was just a shame that she was such a mess. Or depending on your view point, it was one of her best points. Either way, watching every episode end in a teary meltdown about… oh, god knows what, Austin realising she was planning to backdoor him or running out of Cap’n Crunch was certainly something most people won’t forget in a hurry. With Shelli and Clay out of the picture thanks to James and Becky, #humblebrag, the game soon turned back to Vanessa and her alliance of… well, everyone else except Jackie and Meg. So, naturally, Vanessa’s crew (I’ve already forgotten whichever crappy alliance name it was that they gave themselves. Scamper Squad? Idk) and they had the power until the end. So Vanessa was a dead cert to win, right? No, because Steve Moses happened. Still, at least we have Austin’s blindside to keep our memories of Vanessa largely positive. And so very teary.

Choo choo! All aboard! She's worked Black Friday, y'know. Earlier, I spoke about how refreshing it was to see James just play the game, without concern for blindsides, backdoors, block battles, bings, bangs or bongs, and the same can be said for Becky “Remember The Time She Got Hit By That Train? That Was Funny, Wasn’t It?” Burgess. A quiet player in the early stages and could be described as somewhat of a floater – which isn’t an insult and those who think that it is need to go back to their Big Brother textbook and do some bloody revising – but Becky (aside from a few bits and pieces with John) really came to life during her HoH reign. Hell bent on targeting Vanessa, Becky shut down all offers of deals from her, knowing full well that nothing she could offer her could change her mind. And that was that. No last minute switches, no changes of plan, no secret alliances – she knew what she wanted to do and she stuck to it. Of course, this being Big Brother her plan didn’t quite come to fruition and the house ended up voting out Shelli instead (Becky herself was voted out a week later) but that’s besides the point. Becky, much as James did too, showed that modern Big Brother doesn’t have to be so complicated and convoluted. When you cut out the waffle, great things can happen. Or, in Becky's case, nearly happen.

Compared to season 6, the most recent run of RuPaul’s Drag Race won’t really go down in history as one of the greats. Someone who might, though? Enter Katya Zamolodchikova. A strong candidate throughout despite an early bottom two resulting in her having to lip sync for her life against Sasha Belle (and in front of Olivia Newton-John, no less), Katya eventually finished in fifth place. However, she was a popular queen with the public and was crowned Miss Congeniality in the finale, which I imagine means more than winning. Ish. Oh, and Katya was safe inside the top 10 at one point in the voting, just as an example of how up-and-down (and tight vote-wise) it’s been recently. Now, sashay away.

Boy oh boy, where do we begin with Jamelia? Well, firstly, she took part in Mission Survive earlier in the year, but no1curr about that so we’ll gloss over it. Secondly, Jamelia was responsible for the most drama Strictly Come Dancing’s seen since Anton du Beke called that bird a word beginning with ‘p’ and ending with ‘aki’ that one time (yes, this actually happened). In case you’re under the age of 65, what happened was that Jamelia was voted out over professional reality slag (because the equivalent word is a naughty one on here) and ex-husband of 2k15 winner Katie Price, Peter Andre, in a decision that riled the nation and left someone in Tunbridge Wells paralysed from the waist up with rage. Jamelia, with as much decorum as you’d expect from her, went on the (teatime) sister show and slagged the producers off to the hilt, claiming that the show was fixed and that the producers of the show threatened to murder the studio audience live on air if they didn’t give Peter Andre a standing ovation and generally doing glorious, glorious things. Having started the series being hated by the British public thanks to various comments on Loose Women (and not, I’d hope, for Superstar which remains to this day an utter bop), she ended it slightly less hated than before, all through a couple of air quotes on a BBC Two talk show in between Eggheads and Michael Portillo’s Great British Railway Journeys. And that, my friends, is what I call a mothercharlestoning journey.

Most celebrities view Celebrity Big Brother as an easy pay check. Some (one of whom we’ll get onto later) use it as an opportunity to get their kitchen done up. Some, god forbid, even enjoy the experience as fans of the show. I know, right? But no, not Patsy Kensit. For Patsy Kensit, Celebrity Big Brother was a large-scale stealth operation, the mission being to escape, as if she was a prisoner in a particularly glittery Broadmoor. At certain points, she’d decide to stick it out as she pondered just how damaging yet another row between Hopkins and Hilton over who shat in the baked beans could be to her psyche, before proceeding to either indulge in a nice spot of (“**** off, I’m”) meditating or bang her head against the wall until the men in white coats came along to take her away. Somehow, she managed a whole 21 days in her personal hell, emerging at the end looking like one of the witches in MacBeth got lost, but what did the odd clump of hair missing here and there matter – like Calum, she’d experienced the worst of the human form, whereas this was a victory of the human spirit; a triumphant climax that would put the ending of Chariots of Fire to shame. For Patsy was free, and twenty dozen memes later, for her ordeal Patsy had cemented herself as a Marcel Marceau top-wearing, for-some-reason-Cami-Li-encouraging Celebrity Big Brother legend.

Late entrants never tend to do overly well in these kinds of shows, at least as far as winning the whole thing is concerned. Granted, Vicky only went in three days after the start of the series, but the odds were against her already – storylines were already bubbling away in the main camp, Lady C was getting ready to take over the series and there wasn’t really time in the day to devote a significant portion of the programme to Vicky and her fellow reality TV veteran chums off in their separate camp. That isn’t even to mention that Geordie Shore hasn’t a reputation of being the classiest of shows, which I’d imagine would be a concern when it comes to trying to appeal to 11-odd million people enough for them to part with their money and spend it trying to keep you around. You might give them an STD through the screen or something. But Vicky managed to defy those odds. She tackled bloody tonnes of bushtucker trials and passed them with flying colours. She made great friendships in the jungle, with Ferne and… she tolerated Lady C, didn’t she? That’s more than you could say for most people in there. She won the thing by miles, despite her competition being a beloved boyband member and a woman who ATE A GIANT HUGE MOTHERLOVING ****ING SPIDER ON NATIONAL TELEVISION. She fixed whatever damaged reputation she may have had from building a career on vomiting on Geordie people and selling workout DVDs, and is now on route to make a fortune and become a Loose Woman. And I say good on you, Vicky. Good on you and why aye man. Whatever that may mean in your language.

4th Impact – or 4th Pimpact as nobody really calls them but me – gave one of the stand-out performances of this year’s X Factor auditions. Originally known as 4th Power until they were forced to change by a Brighton-based music charit-no, hang on, that was Little Mix. Let’s just say that’s the way God made them. Anyway, 4th Pimpact were one of the favourites to win ever since that very first audition, and continued to knock it out of the park, even when one of their members was literally knocked out on the floor, having fainted on live TV. More than once. Not even accusations of fixing (due to their existing record contract, which would explain why they were much, much better than all of the competition put together) could stop these girls. 2015 was the year of the 4th Pimpact and you’d better have got used to it, baby. It’s weird trying to write this in the past tense, isn’t it? What was I talking about again? Yes, that’s it, 4th Impact were winning. And then… they didn’t? They left in the quarter-finals, which because of the show’s reduced timespan this year was probably week 2. They didn’t win and that was that. You know who won if you read her write-up or weren’t living under a rock for the last few months. No, wait, now that the X Factor’s relevance is fast fading I can’t actually use that excuse. Maybe you don’t know who won The X Factor. And maybe you never will. Maybe that’s a good thing. I don’t really like The X Factor. I don’t know if you can tell. I’m very tired. 4th Pimpact, ladies and gentlemen!

Do correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe Shirin – one of the only contestants in this ranking to be on the list for two editions of the same show – is largely here for her appearance on Worlds Apart. Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure she was definitely preferable to a number of others on Cambodia, but it was in the former that she really shined. She wound all of her tribemates up the wrong way (with pretty trivial, but too good not to be intentional, surely) and wound up more or less hated by all of her tribemates. So much so that… none of them voted her out? Yes, somehow she stayed long enough as to finish in 8th place, by which time she’d become a fan favourite – as if she wouldn’t be after that brief recap – and people she feuded with (i.e. Will) weren’t. So, along comes the chance for America to vote for its own Second Chance cast, and lo and behold, they pick Shirin. One down, Cambodia to go. Spoilers: his one’s a bit briefer than her first go, I’ll be honest. Having set herself up for success by managing to help vote Vytas out in episode one, things took a turn for the not-so-good and she didn’t stick up for Abi-Maria when she saw she was in a worse position than her (i.e. she was being ostracized), leading to her rather swift elimination. Still… we’ve always got Worlds Apart, right?

c+p Patsy’s entry. On second thoughts, maybe not. Whilst Patsy’s time in the Celebrity Big Brother house was spent desperately trying to disenfranchise herself from the shitshow going on around her, Nadia grew more determined to defend Perez (against the advice of pretty much everybody) and even more determined to grind Katie Hopkins down to a gibbering wreck. If you know the absolute minimum about Katie Hopkins, you’d know that this isn’t a very likely goal to try and work towards. Try climbing Mount Everest first, Nads, set your sights low. Nadia only went in to get some work on her house done, and now she was caught in the crossfire between Perez and Hopkins for what must have felt like an eternity. Both she and Patsy loathed every waking minute of the experience but whereas Patsy hid herself away, chanting, meditating and occasionally wondering if the oven was a gas one or not, Nadia actively got up and rooted for one side of the argument-in-which-there’s-no-winner. She got up and told you that she’s not a bloody performing bear! She got up and laid into Calum for, erm, being told by Perez that he didn’t like her cooking or something, god there were some ridiculous arguments in that series, weren’t there? But most of all, she spent every ounce of energy she had in that house laying into, and breaking down Katie Hopkins, which is why in a way it was a bit of a shame that he didn’t outlast her, but on reflection was probably best for us all. We’d have had a Cannibal Holocaust-type situation on our hands if they’d been in there together any longer.

I am trying hard not to let this ranking be influenced too much by my own opinion, I am, but some things are too important for me not to have a say on it. I think Elle was robbed in this ranking. I mean, she did quite well, but anything short of top 20 is an utter travesty of a result for possibly the greatest and most complex reality TV entity to have walked this earth. And that’s not even hyperbole. Let’s track this queen’s journey through The Apprentice 11, shall we? Episode one: unfortunately overlooked by the edit, although she does record a clip of her riding a scooter through the streets of London as part of the dramatic opening introduction. It doesn’t make the cut. Episode two: she makes her first major appearance, telling everyone that they can’t pitch for **** and thus not making herself the most popular girl on the netball team in the process. Whilst Project Manager Aisha sees the good in her and decided not to bring her back after they lost the task, most of the final Boardroom was spent discussing how awful Elle is at everything and how negative she is. This, it turns out, would be a sign of things to come. Episode three: France! Elle volunteers for the role of Project Manager. Her team members unanimously vote for the other option. Still, Elle is made sub-team leader (her pitch for the original role being along the lines of “I lead people in my job and, um, you’re, er, people, and… um, where’s the loo, by the way?”). Her team fail miserably at finding anything and when tasked with finding an inflatable boat, she decides that a full-sized dinghy (practically a yacht) was too expensive. Despite this, they later go back to the shop, only to decide once more that it was too expensive. However, Project Manager Vana has other ideas and upon on consultation (the minute the car sets off for another location, may I add), the team are to go back to the shop once more to buy the boat. The shop owner, having seen the team more than she’d seen her own family at this point, begrudgingly allows them the boat. Of course, the team lose and Elle is brought back to the boardroom, but thankfully for our sanity Jenny Garbis was sacrificed over her. Elle gets through the pet show and children’s book tasks fairly unscathed (in the latter, she pretty much writes the entire thing, whilst wearing a tiara, and signs the book “Ellie Curry” <3), although by this point she has a losing record of 5-0. Things can only get better from here on out, right? Lolno. Episode six is a handy man task, and Lordsugar makes her Project Manager. Elle, having already forgotten to print the team’s flyer, ****s off down the pub and hands Project Manager duties over to Joseph. The team fails miserably (although Joseph gets special commendation), and Lordsugar fires Elle before the final boardroom. Rather than defend herself, she responds with something along the lines of, “lol I was well **** weren’t I, Lordsugar would have been well thick not to fire me lol”. A girl after my own heart is Elle. Anyway, her GBFF Sam goes an episode later, but the two of them still manage to publish an actual proper children’s book post-show (<3<3<3). She also returns for the final, because everyone else had either quit or gone back to Jamaica (I’m looking at you, Dan), and despite a 70s porno-themed advert she manages to WIN A TASK for Joseph. The fact that she WINS A TASK for Joseph ends her series-long losing record and ultimately means that Elle Stevenson is the true winner of The Apprentice 11.

tl;dr: ****ing GODDESS

What with the media attention surrounding Caitlyn Jenner and an increasing amount of light shed on trans issues, it was speculated that Big Brother would cast their first ever transgender houseguest. And they did, in the form of Audrey. Luckily, however, this didn’t become a big deal in the game – in fact, it was her rather, well, perhaps erratic but definitely entertaining behaviour that will help her stand out for years to come. Waking up her fellow houseguests in the middle of the night to try and start alliances for other people, throwing her allies underneath the bus, somehow not getting targetted until week four despite being the most obvious target the house had ever seen (ta Shelli and Clay) and, of course, hiding in the Have-Not room under a blanket for a week, skipping the Veto ceremony in the process. My kinda gal. Yes, whilst Audrey only lasted a month in the Big Brother house, it felt a hell of a lot longer and she made an impact that people won’t be forgetting in a hurry. Merry frickin’ Christmas indeed.

Kelley “Wentworth” Wentworth was a very good Survivor on Survivor even though she didn’t survive until the end to be crowned the title of the ultimate Sole Survivor in the season of Survivor known as Survivor: Second Chance in which the goal is to survive on the island of Cambodia (hence the title, Survivor: Cambodia) for as long as one possibly can survive on the island of Cambodia without dying, figuratively that is, I’m sure everyone survived, apart from that guy who had to quit, everyone else survived, probably, and anyway she returned from Survivor: San Juan del Sur just like the actual Sole Survivor of Survivor: Cambodia, Jeremy, but unlike Sole Survivor Jeremy she didn’t survive and instead finished in fourth place in Survivor: Cambodia just before the final Tribal Council and to be honest I’m in a bit of a rush so yay go Wentworth!

Every series of The Apprentice, especially in its modern era in which there are more candidates than there are humans living on planet Earth (it’d probably explain where they found some of these people tbh), there tends to be a need for a token slightly older, kooky candidate to stand out among the bland faces and even blander personalities. Enter Jaz. Enter Sarah Dales, Hypnotherapist To The Stars. And enter Ruth, who walked into the very first boardroom looking as if Tilda Swinton had had a particularly vicious fight with Elmer the Patchwork Elephant. Karren thought her sales tactics were CREEPY and WEIRD even though they were in fact quite normal, she stepped in to replace the far-too-young model in the shampoo advert and did rather a good job, despite looking like a kebab on a spit, she didn’t do much in the France task except shovel manure (my kinda gal) and then she didn’t sell anything in the pet show task despite working in sales and was therefore fired, as much as I would have loved to see her on the children’s book task (imagine how good Ruth’s input into Snottydink could have been </3). How very kooky!

Yes, it’s #CBBSTEVICHLOEJASMINE time! One half of this relationship is truly what elevates them to legendary housemate status so we’ll quickly skip over Stevi “Ritchie” Ritchie and his mankini. The person who truly matters here, who is a gold tier reality TV legend here, is former Kandy Floss member Chloe-Jasmine Whichello. Now, Chloe-Jasmine is somewhat of an enigma. But you don’t have to understand her to be able to love her. You don't even have to love her (but you should or I'll set evil flying monkeys on you tbh). You don’t have to understand why she breaks down in tears at the prospect of putting her ring in a box (my kinda gal? ish?), you don’t have to understand why to her, life is an episode of The Colbys like every day is Groundhog Day for Bill Murray, you don’t have to understand why she absolutely hates Daniel Baldwin with a vengeance for taking one of her cigarettes. Chloe-Jasmine cannot be analysed. Chloe-Jasmine cannot be read. Chloe-Jasmine cannot be put into a box (nor can her ring, amirite lads). With Chloe-Jasmine, you just have to sit back and watch the melodramatic fireworks explode. You don’t have to try and make sense of it after. Look at her intense rivalry with Gail Porter. That makes no sense. If you look at that, you might be correct in coming away from it with the view that Chloe-Jasmine is in fact not a real person and a Disney drawing that went wrong. That’s fine. Look at her mother-daughter relationship with Janice Dickinson. You don’t have to try and analyse that as some Freudian ****. You just have to look at it as two amazing, barmy, amazingly barmy people having a lovely time smoking and bitching in the garden whilst Austin and Farrah smear their faeces up the wall inside. That’s just fine. For Chloe-Jasmine is Chloe-Jasmine and nobody can stop her being Chloe-Jasmine.

In many ways, (Come On) Eileen was the Big Brother counterpart to Ruth from The Apprentice. The oldest competitor in the series, an early stand-out, fairly eccentric and seemingly doomed from the outset. Both managed to make it to week 4 (or, what is counted as week 4 in BB16, given how messed up its week numbers seemed to be what with timebombs and Simongrossbombs and twists-we-shall-not-mention and the like). Being the oldest housemate, this was used against Eileen, predominantly by… the second oldest housemate. Great logic there, mate. This eventually led to her downfall in the first head-to-head eviction in millennia, but in the 25 days that Eileen was there, I think she managed to show that older housemates are worthwhile and do deserve their place in the house –cough- Simon –cough- -cough- whoever at Channel 5 does the casting –cough- It’s just a shame that those around made her age into such a big deal that some of her greater moments (being showered in teddy bears, smashing eggs into her face, interpretative dancing to Gold Digger, trying to eat a biscuit and apply lipstick at the same time, DOOLALLY DOOLALLY DOOLALLY) were overshadowed. Still, in her immortal ways, never say die (and then you’re dead).

Also I remember on another forum they had a BBUK housemate ranking poll and due to recency bias, Eileen came out as like the 3rd greatest housemate ever. <3
