View Full Version : The TiBB Random Reality Ranking 2k15 [fin.]
http://i.imgur.com/8xxBgZE.gif
[I spent a good eight minutes of my life making this on PowerPoint, don't judge]
So this is probably going to flop horribly and I'm aware that similar things have been done before so if it does, there's your reason...
But I thought I might run a game to find out who TiBB's favo reality contestants of 2015 is (y'know, scientifically). You'd do this by sending yours truly a list of up to 25 people who've competed on a reality show this year, with your ultimate 2k15 person getting 25 points and so on and so forth. If you only send in, say 7 people (which you're allowed to do) your top pick would get seven points. You can base this on how well they did on their respective shows, their personality, their looks, how often they send you dick pix on Snapchat - it's up to you. Lemme give you an example, with a bunch of strange formatting styles because I know what you lot are like:
25 points - Terence from My Kitchen Rules Australia
24) Jack McDermott from BBUK16
Twenty three) Marie from The Great British Bake Off
22. Vytas from Survivor: Cambodia
#21 - Pretty Blonde Girl from The X Factor
20 - Sinitta from Celebrity Enema On The Beach: Live
etc etc
You can vote for any of the shows in that impossible-to-read image above, plus The Jump or Celebrity MasterChef or The Voice Kids Indonesia or whatever you want idk - as long as it had a winner of some sort (so no TOWIE/The Real Housewives of Renfrewshire/What Kourtney and Khloe Shat Out Next) and it's been aired on TV somewhere in the world in the past year, it's allowed. You can also vote for more than one person from the same show, although I'd kinda rather you didn't just vote for the whole cast of something because we need some variety dammit.
Since I'm an idiot and am starting something four days before Christmas when literally nobody's here and the Other Reality TV's forum even emptier than usual, I'll leave this open until next year (!!!), by which I mean the countdown will be held on Saturday 2nd January (the vote'll close two days before). Of course if this flops then I, well, won't. If you've got any questions then ask them, if you don't then don't, and if this goes mildly well then I'll do a really interesting and very cool countdown of your favourite reality peoples in the new year.
Get PMing! Or not! It's really up to you!

And it's over! Here's the full countdown to save you from reading through the whole thing:

The way I'm currently planning to do this is to have anyone with at least two votes qualify, meaning we've already got some qualifiers... all of which are women (never change, TiBB)

ok what shows are there that I watch? I have catered for Drag Race, GBBO, both CBBs, BB, The Apprentice, TXF... I didn't watch IAC and I believe that foreign Big Brothers/Survivors/Amazing Races are for gypsies tramps and thieves so I am now stuck on 22 faves.
OH MY GOD DAME EDNA FROM THE CELEBRITY BAKE-OFF IN FACT THAT ENTIRE EPISODE'S CAST EXCEPT LULU does that count?

I am unfamiliar with the work of Danity Kane I'm afraid
17 have now qualified, with a tie at the top that I shall continue to draw out for dramatic effect
(someone has nominated 3/4 of the cast of the greatest hour of television to have aired this year and I am rather happy about that)
Also I've decided that I'll be including a random reality ranking repechage round at some point so, y'know, keep your eyes out for that
Pete.
22-12-2015, 10:15 PM
Do Helen/Nikki/Brian/Aisleyne count?
I was wondering whether to include them or not but I've seen them in other cast rankings and the more the merrier so why not
(I'll probably draw the line at, say, John McCririck though, as much as I'm sure he'd win otherwise)

Yeah, if a number of people competed as one contestant, they're one contestant in this (i.e. BB duos or Amazing Race teams)
Jason.

Because I've received more votes than I'd anticipated to have by this point, I'll close the voting a little sooner if that's okay with everyone - I'll give you until this Thursday to vote, with the repechage thingy on the 1st (if I'm awake early enough) and the countdown on Saturday 2nd - otherwise we'd be waiting for years and nobody's got time for that now do they

(I'm taking this moment to appreciate that two bitter rivals are tied on the same number of points just outside the top 10, which would be nice story-wise) (not that this thing has a story or anything) (or anything vaguely planned at all really)

Hi there. Welcome to the TiBB Random Reality Ranking 2k15, in which I count down 90 reality stars as chosen by (19 of) you. There will be tantrums, there will be tears, there will be Vivica A. Fox gifs, and by the end of the night (/some point early tomorrow morning), we'll know who your top reality star of the past 360-something days has been. Yesterday, you voted Monica Michael as the 90th member of the ranking (yes, really) (it was you) and as well as finding out where she's placed, you'll be discovering where the other 89 are, how many votes they got and how many points that equates to. Exciting maths!
I can confirm that there are 17 representatives of Celebrity Big Brother on the list, 13 Survivors, 10 housemates from Big Brother UK, 7-a-piece from Big Brothers US and Canada, as well as from The Apprentice UK, 6 from I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, 5 from The X Factor, 4 from The Great British Bake Off, 3 from the Great Comic Relief Bake Off and Love Island, 2 from Strictly Come Dancing, The Amazing Race and RuPaul's Drag Race and 1 each from Britain's Got Talent and the Celebrity Apprentice. Each one will get a write-up to some extent, with shorter entries for the irrelevant ones and longer ones for those placing higher (and people I like, just because) I apologise in advance for how long this is going to be. First time I've ever said that. Ha. Best get on with it before I make any other dick jokes.

Well, if you’re going to start a ranking, you might as well do it in style. The first male housemate to be evicted first from the Big Brother house, the first sign that BBUK16 may not be what we’d all hoped it would be (in… more ways than one), and the first 2k15 contestant to leave this ranking. That’s showbiz for you.

Former footballer Kieron was perhaps one of the best known names in this year’s jungle line-up (at least not with someone allergic to football like me), but his unlikely alliance with Chris Eubank and Lady C Of All People made him a firm-ish favourite with the public and he finished in 4th place. Even though, y’know, he tried to quit the thing halfway through.

Kellie, tired of… I don’t know, having to sleep with Danny Dyer, escaped off to Strictly where she met a knight in shining lycra from Grimsby. She danced quite a bit, as you tend to do on Strictly, and ended up in the final alongside Georgia & Giovanni, Katie & Anton and Jay & Vanessa. She didn’t win, but she got to dance as Princess Leia with cinnamon rolls stapled to her ears, and that counts as a happily ever after in my book.

Slay a bit. Fierce by name and fierce by nature, Jaidynn Diore Fierce (real name Christopher Williams) finished in 8th place on the latest season of RuPaul’s Drag Race. She impersonated Raven-Symone for the Snatch Game round so well that a petition was started to remove Jaidynn from The View. I think.

The designated older houseguest and inevitable first boot from this year’s season of Big Brother Canada, Patricia “Risha” Denner may not have made much of an impression (as perhaps evidenced by the fact that I’d called her ‘Risha Dinner’ until I went back over at the end), but from her short stay in the house (I know some people said that she didn’t have enough of a game etc, which might have made sense if she was in the house longer than twenty minutes) she seemed preferable to, well, a number of other houseguests. So, of course, the Canadian public voted her out over Pilar Of All People. Also she took her bra off once? Was that a thing? Risha Denner, everyone.

Billed as a normal, everyday, down-to-earth, café-working, UKIP-voting (alol when it emerged that she didn’t actually vote for anyone because she simply couldn’t be arsed) girl when she entered the house, Harriet was an immediate favourite with the public and finished in the figurative top three in the early days of the series. It turned out that ‘normal’ meant ‘crying a lot and going back and forth between two groups bitching about one another’. Thus, she was discarded by the public at the first opportunity as part of the twist that shall not be named, being chucked out through the back of a giant glittery vagina and being upstaged by not only superior housemate Harry Amelia replacing her, but also Chloe’s now iconique ‘yay you’re back!!! :) Still, you know… egg dress and all that.

The first Survivor contestant to fall in the ranking has arrived. Previously a competitor in the China-set season, Peih-Gee returned for a second bite at the Survivor-shaped apple. However, that didn’t last long and, thanks to a run-in with Abi Maria, she was third to be eliminated. Also she’s somehow 37 years old.

Worlds Apart isn’t necessarily seen as a golden season among Survivor fans/casuals/anyone – largely down to its boot order – but someone who managed to squeeze themselves into the ranking is Carolyn. The oldest competitor of her season, Carolyn made it all the way to the runner-up position, losing to Mike. She was also eligible to return for Cambodia but, y’know, didn’t. That is all that has to be said on Carolyn.

A nice bit of stunt casting for you here, as the inexplicable 2k15 reboot of forgotten-00s-Big-Brother-rival Love Island employed Zayn Malik tactics (by which I mean bringing in someone who was photographed near him once, thus also making her famous enough to win Celebrity Big Brother) to get itself off the ground. Anyway, she was paired up with some bloke named Joshua and finished third, yah da yah da.

Though he wasn’t the most… contributing of all people in the Celebrity Big Brother 15 house (that isn’t exactly a bad thing, is it?), Calum had a lot to deal with, lest we forget Perez Hilton’s anal rape threats. And he was praised for calmly reacting to such depressing aspects of human nature, something which couldn’t even be said for our lord and saviour Patsy Kensit. Despite a last-minute push to get him the win, it wasn’t enough and he had to settle for third place. Oh and remember when he used “mom” as a codename for his girlfriend? That was fun, wasn’t it?

In 2015, one woman truly revolutionised baking. No, not Nadiya. Not even Ugne. But Joanna Lumley. Who else would think of completely forgetting to put cocoa in a chocolate cake, I hear you ask? Who else would put coffee in instead, perhaps not entirely intentionally? Who else would get cream all over Sue Perkins’ trousers? I mean, she lost, but still. We salute you, Ms Lumley.

Also she went from being Star Baker in episode one to eliminated in episode two so ha2 I guess. Even if that’s an example of how previous form counts for absolutely zilch on this show, for some reason. The first and only contestant in this ranking named Yvette, her time in the jungle was mostly summed up in two words: Lady C. Yes, as much as she tried to forge a storyline for herself, it was her hatred for everything concerning Lady Colin Campbell that controlled the Yvette that we saw. As a result, the Yvette that we saw was a largely moody, shouty, grumpy one, and not even drawing a fake moustache on her face for the lulz could save her from the chop as she left in 10th place.

The eventual winner of this year’s Great Comic Relief Bake Off, Jennifer’s crowning glory surely had to be a Tracey Emin-cum-Edina-Monsoon-inspired ‘Soggy Bottomed Bed Cake’, which was just as amazing as it sounds. It’s no secret that her episode of the show was one of the greatest things to have ever happened ever (in my opinion, of course) (but also in fact), and Jennifer winning the whole thing was the cherry on the icing of the over-elaborate metaphor.

Wahey! In many ways, Cheggers was the unlikely hero of Celebrity Big Brother 15. Occupying the same slot in the booking as fellow “entertainers” Michael Barrymore and Jim Davidson, expectations of Keith were probably lower than Chloe Goodman’s fee and Jeremy Jackson’s morals. Still, somehow he managed to deliver, deflecting Kav’s drunken… Kav-ness with some good old Cheggers grace and decency, as well as forming the greatest coalition this side of Churchill and Attlee: Preggers, a.k.a. the thing that kept you watching in the last week or so of the series. His and Katie Price’s late-game tirade(s) against she-devil Katie Hopkins (thus proving he was far from ‘Switzerland’ – I mean, she could have gotten the flag right for starters) were ultimately part of what gave Pricey the win, and for that, Cheggers, I am forever grateful.
Bet you weren’t expecting a Clement Attlee reference now were you.

Kenya has created a campaign revolving around how much babies love women’s arses in order to sell her bread. That went down about as well as you’d imagine. Her and her two team members were sent to the final boardroom, where – Twistos Twist alert – Kenya brought up an apparent tweet apparently tweeted by fellow candidate Vivica, which apparently said how apparently old and apparently fat and apparently going through the menopause she was. Vivica denied tweeting this, which is probably the sensible thing to do in that situation, because – Twistos Twist alert – her phone had gone missing. Their version of Claude then checked her feed, where he found the tweet in question. A huge row then broke out, with Vivica accusing Kenya of stealing her phone, an explanation which was generally accepted in order to make things a bit easier for everyone. To cut a long story short (I mean, you could have just gone and watched this on YouTube to save me having to transcribe it, right?), Kenya was fired, as yet another victim of future President von Clownsti-I mean Trump. And that was Kenya Moore.

According to the list I’ve got here, a woman named Jess Hayes won that Love Island wotsit with something called a Max Morley. They split up very quickly afterwards. Two of you liked her. I’m terribly out of my comfort zone here so I think it’d be best for everyone if we move swiftly on. Yes, let’s.

Guess who’s back? Back again? Fishbach’s back. Someone tell Troy. More specifically, Stephen returned from Tocantins, where he finished runner-up with a great reputation as a player. Now, all he had to do was keep that reputation up. His response? Lolno. Cambodia didn’t go entirely to plan for Stephen, not making himself particularly popular with the others and having his perhaps-not-best-thought-through plan to vote Joe out fall on deaf ears more than once. Alas, it was him that was voted out. Ah well.

Cami-Li is perhaps best remembered as a walking catchphrase, finger-clicking and yelling and hurtin’ for a squirtin’ her way through her… what, 30 days in the house? Good lord. Anyway, Cami “Camila “Cami “Chola” Li” Figueras” Li’s antics entertained enough of you to get her this far in the ranking. Just as long as she doesn’t swear/threaten acts of violence that I didn’t know were possible as much as she did in her exit interview. Oh, and don’t call her a lesbian either. Sorry Caitlin.

Twins have always had a good enough reputation on Big Brother. Sam & Amanda breezed their way through a slog of a series with not a single nomination between the two of them, Jedward were favourites to win from practically day one, whilst Jack & Joe and K&K also reached the finals of their respective series. And then came Amy “Chippy” Broadbent & Sally “Sausage” Broadbent to completely ruin that reputation. In their 18 days in the house, they feuded with Jade (and got a Wizard of Oz quote wrong in the process), drunkenly threw cups at walls to the red hot fury of… well, just Jack and stormed out of debates because SHE’S GOT A BOYFRIEND!!!!1!!!!1! Naturally, they were evicted as part of the twist that must not be named and possibly had both the most bizarre and the most lulzy eviction reception, i.e. the kind of one Margaret Thatcher may have had if she’d visited a mine in Carlisle and urinated directly down it whilst on an asparagus-only diet. I’m knocking the political references out the park tonight aren’t I? Anyway, Amy & Sally were amazing, case closed. <3

Tamal, a.k.a. Hot Tamale, a.k.a. You Know That Bloke Off Bake Off, Well I’d Make His Bottom Soggy a.k.a. Doctor Who (I’d Like to Ram His Stethosco-never mind) was mainly supported because the entire population of Great Britain wanted to shag him. Let’s be upfront about it. He had that perfect balance of looks, charm, wit and rise in his ciabatta to win over an entire nation, which was already united in its (less sexual) love of Nadiya and its burning hatred of Ian. Tamal didn’t win, but he was encouraged to come out, which was sweet. Not as sweet as the tears of a maternal Mary Berry, but still, sweet.

My sources tell me that Naomi was one of the stars of this year’s Love Island spectacucrapathon. A latecomer to the show, she was a bit of a SUCH A MANIPULATOR (/Joseph Valente) and was rivals with eventual winner Jess as she wanted his man, Josh. She got him, but what she didn’t get was popularity among her fellow… island mates(?), as you might expect of someone who crashes your party and steals your boyfriend like that. Anyway, some new bloke came in going by the name of Max, who then shacked up with Jess. Naomi then dumped this Josh fellow and tried to go after Max, but got voted about before she had the chance, bless her. Anyway apparently she went after Max’s brother after the show alol. What a woman.
(Love Island are now all out, I believe. It's safe now, guys, come back)

They look fun, don’t they? Don’t they look fun? I’m sure they were fun. Although they’re the first Amazing Racers to fall, so I can hardly even imagine what sheer unadulterated fun is still to come. So strap yourselves in and enjoy the ride! There, I think I’ve done a pretty good job of covering the fact that I’ve never seen an episode of this show in my life.

Another one of that Worlds Apart lot for you now, and one with a nice surname to boot. Worlds Apart featured the rather ill-conceived idea of tribes based on social status, with Lindsey finding herself in the Blue Collar tribe. She ended up disagreeing with most of the men in her tribe, which ultimately led to her downfall as she became the fourth contestant voted out following a re-vote. Oop.

Good old Hayley and Blair, one of the blind dating couples in season 26 of The Amazing Race. I found it super hilarious when they did that thing that one time. It was such a Hayley and Blair thing of them to do. Sometimes it was Hayley, sometimes it was Blair. That was the fun thing about Hayley and Blair. You never knew which one of them it would be. What would be, I hear you ask? That thing they always did, I reply. Ultimately, they finished third, but who cares, they’re Hayley and Blair!

I believe she’s the highest-placing Australian in this ranking and if not, why not? She contributed to one of the greatest single hours of television ever seen this side of Netflix. She constructed a Sydney Opera House out of cake, albeit one presumably hit by a tornado. A nuclear tornado. During the Blitz. She’s Dame Bloody Edna. Why wouldn’t she be in this ranking, possums?

The first contestant to break the 40 barrier, James made something happen that rarely happens nowadays, like a blue moon or a solar eclipse or Big Brother being good. He made the majority of thisisbigbrother like someone with a penis. And not for his penis either – don’t get me wrong, I’m sure some people dig the whole redneck Asian vibe – but for his game play. In a season, in fact an age, when every decision has to involve a blindside or a backdoor or a game of ****ing Battle of the Block, it was unbelievably refreshing to see someone go for two targets (in this case, power couple Shelli and Clay), knowing full well what the consequences would be in future, and sticking with them. Whilst it didn’t immediately result in the intended outcome, James’ second HoH turn had to be one of the greatest weeks in modern BBUS memory. I guess his friendship (and nothing more, yes?) with Meg was cute too, and his whole Captain Camo thing is almost certain to have secured him a place in the next BB All Stars season. Good on you, James.

Sam (<3) (I’m not biased at all, promise) undeniably shined… or, if you look at it the other way, had the most airtime, on the children’s book task. This task was made for him. There were only so many confessionals of Sam talking about how language was the key to existence and how his team mates were illiterate ****wits that we could take before a task came along with his name written all over it. I mean, he hoped aloud that one task would be to write and perform an entire play, for god’s sake. If you knew anything about Sam up to this point, you might have got the feeling that Sam would possibly perhaps kind of take this task a little too seriously. He took your ‘too seriously’ and laughed in the face of it. He took an entire thesaurus and shoved it up his arse (those gays eh) and spewed out a whole list of words such as “quell”, “moisture” and “rife” – not to mention a reference to Aristotle’s theory of tragedy – in a story book aimed at three-year olds. Compare this to the other team, who wrote a story about a bee whilst not entirely convinced of the ins-and-outs of the creation of honey themselves. Sam put his hands up and took the flack for the failure of the task in the boardroom, in which Lordsugar compared his book to War and Peace (…) and Karren likened the process to “writing the sequel to King Lear” (again, …). It’s a good thing that Natalie had a snottydink that day or else Sam would have been out of the door faster than you could say “rufflebottom shoes”. I’m aware this write-up is far too long for its own good but I’d also like to mention his amazing friendship with Elle (her having to make sense of his philosophical ramblings that mildly resembled a plot whilst sat in the middle of a library wearing a tiara <3 Them actually writing a children’s book together after the show <3) and the fact that he didn’t really have much to do after that episode, except moan that they actually had to clean the football stadium that they’d agreed to clean and get fired the week afterwards for not selling nothing. The term “gamebot” seems to be thrown around a lot in regards to Ciera, but that’s probably more my selective hearing and my not-reading-much-about-Survivor-and-mixing-stuff-up than anything. Still, girl done quite good, successfully breaking up the majority alliance and helping to orchestrate two blindsides. She finished 10th, but that’s not bad when you consider there were more competitors in Survivor: Cambodia than there are in this bloody ranking.

George was in a good position coming into this year’s I’m a Celebrity – young, good-looking, fresh out of a boyband with a guaranteed fan base to vote for him. It’s no wonder he came second. In reality, I can’t remember a great deal of what he actually did in the jungle, other than have a bit of a flirt with Ferne and have a bit of a cry with Auntie Susannah. Still, I’m sure there was a bildungsroman storyline in there somewhere. Or at least, there was supposed to be.
