I have heard that this series was rigged in favour of Rachel. And I’ve also heard about Jeff’s double eviction and how that was rigged for him as well but he assed it up :hehe:

Will never understand why Jeff is as overrated as he is, I get that some people don’t like him, but he seems to be a fan favourite, winning AFP twice when the reality is that he’s an arrogant, homophobic, aggressive twat

Another thing I don’t get is why people gave Shelly and her family death threats for voting to evict Jeff. First of all, WHO DOES THAT? I’ve seen some of the comments she got and it’s scary that there are people out there who think like that! Second of all, she just did what benefitted her game and a shot at winning $500k. If she did it to Porsche or Adam, nobody would have batted an eyelid but because it’s Jeff, everyone hates her

I feel for her, even if in a game environment, I’d find it harder to trust her again. Does anyone else agree?

A Whamber segment about her crying all the time <3 Underappreciated icon! I was looking around the Reddit boards the other day and I found out a couple of things...

1) The reason Amber cried so much was because she was suffering from withdrawal symptoms due to drugs </3

2) Shortly after the show, Amber was arrested for driving while high on meth with her daughter in the car

3) (and this is the saddest one) Amber’s daughter died earlier this year after committing suicide :bawling:

Doesn't make the most sense but anyway.. I THINK the debate between them is mostly whether there's such a thing as saying a light skinned white person? I mean I think Monica's right... I've never heard that one before. At the same time, I've also never heard of saying light-skinned being offensive so that was an interesting/weird argument all-around. :think: Although yeah saying she's like a light skinned black person from tanning is kinda bad but that didn't even seem like the focus in all of that

Starting BB3

First impression from the premiere: LOVE the cast

I'm kinda surprised by Lisa... she seems like she's READY to play and even though

I know she wins, I didn't expect that from her.

Literally the only thing I know about this season is the final 4 buuut I'm guessing that could still hurt a lot of potential unpredictability for this season. Like Marcellas is the early target in the edit, and I wouldn't have minded that as he seems like one of the lesser intriguing houseguests for me right now (and I didn't care for him in All Stars either), but obviously I know he won't go. :/

But that aside, I'm still hopeful for this season with the promising cast :clap1: Also very nice competition there to decide the first HOH. Spark some early drama and beef :fan:

- Marcellas is pretty funny this episode... I don't really like his attitude overall but it can be funny, which does remind me I found him funny sometimes in All Stars as well
- Lol @ the Jason virgin segment ... a bit OTT/cringey but fun lil segment at the same time
- CHIARA & JOSH have to be my two favorites at this moment :joker: Although I do like a bunch of others too so it's a tight race to decide my favorites all-around.

- I'm screaming @ Josh with the shorts & the shamrock underwear
- That comedy segment on Danielle in episode 4 was greeeat! I actually kinda feel like in this past episode alone I got to see more of Danielle's personality than I did in all of All Stars.
- The fight over Gerry not washing his hands! Both Lori & Danielle were very lol-worthy :joker:
- Gerry is allllllll over the place. :joker: Now he's turning Marcellas' nomination into a racist and homophobic thing and even Marcellas doesn't agree with it and Danielle is looking at him like he's crazy lmao
- OMG he's even doing it in his speech :laugh2:

Episodes 3 & 4 / season overview:
Decent... breezed through ep 3 just to get through it as I thought it was boring but 4 was reeeeeally solid though. Overall I'm preferring BBUS2's start right now but maybe it'll get going more now. With the cast, I like almost all of them but idk if I love many or any of them :think: Danielle is QUICKLY gaining my support though if episode 4 is any indication. :joker: And I'm hoping Episode 4 is like a stepping stone for this season because a couple of the characters stood out a bit more and we got some moments coming through.

Porsche was playing pool when she wanted to play or something stupid? Porsche actually tried to hash things out with Cassi but she just kept sayings he's honest and a straight shooter, and then the next day we had to watch Cassi go around the house and retell the story to every single person one by one :skull: this all culminated in Cassi REFUSING to take part in the HOH group photos that week because she didn't want to be in the same pictures as Porsche, and she couldn't wait to leave her a nasty goodbye message.

Then Porsche survived eviction and Cassi was pissed because IT'S A MATTER OF HOW WE ALL FEEL ABOUT PORSCHE and that's when Rachel kinda lost it and called her out and read her for filth to her face, and thaaaaat's when Cassi told Rachel that she's ugly on the inside and then went around to every single individual again to retell her version of what happened.

On a side note, that 12/13/14 era was suuuuch a dark time for feed watchers because how many ****ing pool tournaments were we subjected to watching? There was one this season though that ended up in an epic Porsche vs. Cassi game and everyone was silently watching and you could cut the tension with a knife. I could be misremembering but I'm pretty sure Porsche won :love:

Right, like as much as I love Danielle I don't buy the whole robbed goddess narrative at all. Yes they did start sequestering the Jury after BB3, but even with a sequestered Jury Lisa still would've beaten her? 11's main crime is being part of that 10/11/12 era where Grodner's becoming wayyyy too comfortable as producer by feeding everyone cue cards to read in the DR and enacting bull**** twists that completely destroy the integrity of the game, but it is a house full of crazy people and you could randomly pick two HGs out of a hat and chances are they got into a fight or a screaming match at one point or another :love:

Alright! For the first time ever I'm watching a BBUS that isn't CBBUS. I'll be going chronologically so am beginning with Season 1, a controversially alleged "boring" season for being the first and only one to do the UK format, as well as the flaw that I fear much more that for most of it evictions only take place every two weeks. Also seems to have a longer length to it than what I've seen most other seasons have.

Not a bad premiere, started off looking promising in how vintage it seemed, but the VT's (is that what they're called in America?) quickly began looking a bit cookie-cutter and by the book. In the UK, you see the good and bad sides of a person but here everyone got portrayed as these pretty down-to-earth and kind people and that's a little boring. The people I have in green had some promising personalities though.

Yeah the crowd that loudly proclaims BBUS1 to be a complete snoozefest are people who don't even give it a chance because of the format. It's definitely a bit dry and dull especially as time goes on but it's still miles ahead of seasons like 14, 16, 19, and maybe even 12 too. There's something quaint and charming about its simplicity and how CBS couldn't sell it to its audience at all, and contrary to popular belief the biggest flaw is *not* the cast or the format, but the fact that "banishments" happen every other week so you get to Week 10 and only five people have been eliminated :skull:

An interesting rewatch - I've seen bits and pieces just to see what it's like. It didn't actually rate too badly, but it was in the shadow of Survivor which was a megahit and seemed dull by comparison.

I think the biggest mistake was they didn't really adapt the European format for an American audience - and by that I don't mean the nomination and eviction process but how they aired it. A show stripped nightly for weeks on ends didn't really suit the US audience - had they done this series as three hour long episodes a series it may have worked better. Also as mentioned the alternate weekly nominations and evictions just slowed everything down - the UK were the first to shorten the format and have weekly evictions and that pretty much then became the norm for most countries picking up the format.

The fact Brittany would've won the whole season if voting went normally but didn't because George's obsessive family got their entire state to launch a campaign to vote her out because of her being his competition :rolleyes:. He's not even a good houseguest, just an unamusing lazy man who tries painfully too hard to be funny, has some weird racial and discriminatory undertones too (doing one diary room save campaign where he pretends to be a pot smoking hippie and another one where he pretends to be an overseas convenience store owner :skull:). I'm deeply looking forward to when the public gets revenge on his family and kicks his arse out of there.

Brittany's gone but she was still the only highlight I got from this week, in her illustrious cameo where Julie let her speak to one houseguest :joker:. At this point, she can't stand Jamie, and when the houseguests have to speak someone to speak to her, they think of picking Jamie until:

He was positively edited and "wacky" so I think you'd like him.

I have a really strong dislike of jee at the moment!

There was nothing fishy about Scott’s eviction. IIRC what was shown was fairly true to how it happened. HG’s these days are given far more leeway in terms of behaviour than they were in the earlier series.

1. Brittany (-) - I delighted in watching Brittany and how she embraced how socially awkward she was, never being afraid to do things outside the box, while still being ballsy enough to put people who pissed her off in their place like Josh when he was leading her on, or when Will was being...Will. Confrontations from her like that along with her delivering some of the funniest moments, all the while being a lovable 25 year old virgin still prone to daily exhibitionism made it easy to see why being voted to win the show would've been a cakewalk for her if not for the dirty play from George's family.
2. Karen (+7) - The unstable sidekick of Brittany<3. It was easy to get behind her from her unloving husband's treatment of her but thankfully she was on-edge most of her stay so made for entertaining viewing in how pent up she was. It was lovely when she was offered by Brittany to live with her :love:.
3. Jordan (+5) - I don't think I actually like Jordan :laugh:. But I really appreciated her as the closest thing to villainy and strategy in a season of a show that would crave that sort of thing in future. At first I thought she was this misunderstood individual thought to be more unemotional than she really was but no she's pretty cold about everything lol. Because of the first season's usual format of an eviction every two weeks, it's actually a good thing she got to be there the whole month and it was easy to see the decline into usual peacefulness the season descended to after she left.
4. Eddie (+3) - While he displayed some awkward 2000-like views on things and took a little while for me to warm up to him, Eddie ended up evolving into being a noteworthy presence, had a charismatic sense of humour, and generally had good views on honesty and integrity in seeking to win so in a way I'm glad that he won.
5. William (-) - An absolute horror, much more than I anticipated, had the most aggressive type of equality protesting I ever witnessed, but there's no denying he was an entertaining contestant who in his short time was still responsible for the biggest conflicts to occur. The season was bound to decline when a hate figure like him was gone, but in a way I'm glad he lasted as long as he did because there was the chance he'd get too much.
6. Curtis (+4) - A pretty minor character who I didn't really like much at first but he turned out to have more aloofness than he originally let on so I did wind up valuing him more as time went on.
7. Cassandra (-3) - Another low-visibility contestant not without appeal. Very intelligent, albeit reserved, but similar to Curtis, not without a fun side to her as well.
8. Jamie (-5) - I wanted to find some ironic appreciation for her but it became pretty difficult to find humour in how fake she was when she was pretty void of ever projecting any honest feelings on anything.
9. George (-7) - Some people here think I HATE George, but no I couldn't care for having that energy :joker:. I can see some appeal in finding a man cackling at his own sanity deteriorating on TV but with George it was hard for me to find much to be interested in when most of what he did was just volume and self-admittedly trying to catch the camera's eye in a very knobhead way. His contradiction of not letting the hate for him outside cause him to quit only to THEN want to quit as some fake "team effort" with the house, but THEN not quit just because the others ended up not wanting to, ugh it was a lowpoint. He also was mostly a "nice guy" but I can't get behind that when moments occured like mocking Karen during a roast for nominees where it didn't involve her, or lying to Brittany he wouldn't use performing with her belongings in a mean way only to vent his frustrations to the camera about Karen in some weird outfit :skull:, and other than that generally being self-destructive around others without having much manners to him. Simply cringe.
10. Josh (-4) - A former womanizer who was usually boring.

This season really is not all that terrible. Sure it's boring, and slow as hell in how it deals with evictions. George's family truly ruins the entire boot order with their STUPID STUPID campaigning against Legend Brittany. But otherwise, BB1 lacks in offending me outside of gradually becoming uninteresting to sit through. If it had the editing and format of a later BBUS season, there's a scenario it could've been much better, but for what it was at the time, I don't think it's something worth RAGING about or worth acting like it never existed when it was the birth of this show.

I’ve been watching BB2 over the past week and I finished it today. I know Epic is wanting to remain spoiler-free as he watches this season so I’m spoiler tagging the rest of this post.

I really enjoyed this season! It was a lot of fun and I liked how basic but gripping it was. I really liked the cast, and most of them were likeable apart from an obvious few. Nicole and Monica would probably make my top 5 of all time?

1. Nicole - Obvious first boot who ends up surviving and goes all the way to the end :clap1: That journey aside, Nicole was also a really interesting presence and more or less always had a storyline going on, such as her hatred of Will and her worries about her marriage.
2. Monica - IT’S ON :oh: From her UTRP era of being the nice lady who everybody loved to her OTTN era after she had had enough of everyone’s bull**** to the tragic news of her cousin going missing in the 9/11 attacks (and later being found dead :sad:)..... it all makes for such a journey.
3. Will - Okay so I think he’s mostly loved for being the first big stategist of BBUS but he was hilarious and was a lot of fun throughout the whole season :clap1:
4. Shannon - The Shannon Dragoo Experience :love: Toothbrushgate was sooo nasty but she was a fun short term villain who was entertaining so it’s hard to take her seriously at all
5. Hardy - The journey of the golden boy to the OTTN hate figure “bully” who wasn’t even a bully at all :love:
6. Autumn - She was fun in the time she was in the house! Felt bad for the way she was treated and I think she’d have been an even better houseguest if she’d lasted longer
7. Bunky - I really liked him in the beginning, he then annoyed me at times but overall I think he is definitely a good person
8. Krista - She was funny in her last week but I spent the other 5 not really having an opinion on her at all. I like her overall though.
9. Kent - Kent was funny at times in the middle of his stay and I wanted to like him because of that, and his friendship with Bunky, but it was very disappointing during his interview when he said that he still thinks being gay is devious and perverse, so it would feel wrong to put him in green
10. Sheryl - I wasn’t bothered about her when she was in the house, but it was a shame to hear that she got diagnosed with cancer post-eviction. :sad: Glad to hear she recovered :love:
11. Mike - A sleazy self impressed pig. I didn’t like the way he treated Autumn, and the rapping wasn’t funny the first time let alone the other 500 times.

Now that's an improvement :clap1:. I was worried Boogie as a Will ally was just going to be there for most of his stay but thankfully the house recognised how annoying he was. Even though he wasn't there long he was still an utter terror, aggressive on several occasions to Autumn, Kent, etc and an air of unwarranted entitlement whenever people challenged him on his skeevy ways. The fact as well I have to deal with him again in a future season :umm2:.

No. He had just finished using it, and then that was when she brushed it in the toilet, breaking it by accident in the process, then got called to the diary room to remove it, so no further punishment was taken on her.

Those are how I always do color codes :skull:. Magenta means i love them and lime means i really like them, green means I like them, the yellow-green means I only sort of like them, he did not revolutionise my color scheming :laugh:.
