I thought the episode was good but the ending was terrible, Shelby going to the police to get Lee arrested to spite Matt was dumb and it was only done to artificially extend the storyline while also having the effect of destroying any kind of character development she had. The next episode is probably going to be complete filler as Lee tries to get out of trouble and the plot won't actually move forward at all.

I really liked finding out more about the colonists and I'm intrigued to find out what Gaga is supposed to be. I think she's an avatar for the whole 'amalgam of evil' theory I had going on a while back. I think she's basically the result of all the bad deeds that took place in those times, kind of like a Grudge styled character I think, She corrupts people who then spread that corruption to others giving her dominion over them. That's my theory anyway.

It's interesting that Evan's character hasn't appeared yet or most of the other actors for that matter.

I can't at how stupid the characters are. I enjoyed the episode but having the characters' stupidity be the driving force of the plot is starting to grate. I don't know how they're gonna keep this going for six more episodes either.

Yeah, I was reading about the theory where each episode corresponds to a season too. Episode 1 was couple buying murder house, episode 2 was crazy nurses, episode 3 had Leslie Jordan (who was in "Coven") showing up saying he came from New Orleans (home of the Robichaux Academy), and episode 4 had the reference to the Mott family from "Freakshow". Episode 5 can feature somebody staying in a weird hotel, or we'll find out that the house briefly was a hotel or something, and that can be the season 5 reference. Then once we're up to the current season with episode 6, that's when Ryan Murphy has been teasing some sort of big twist/shift in the season.

They were right about the hotel thing for ep 5 then (the main characters staying at a low budget hotel after surviving). I wonder what ep 6 will be about.

So Cordelia is the current Supreme of the Tituba line and will be until the next witch in that line ascends but Gags is apart of a different line/her own line that seems to begin and end with her which is why she's still around because I don't think she's a ghost, she's using the sacrifices to keep herself alive, I think.

Yeah I thought she was taking the piss. The whole wedding day video montage was hilarious though! I love when AHS puts that campy humour into it (The Name Game in Asylum remains the most iconic).

They didn't really make it obvious that Gaga played the first Supreme Witch from Coven, I have to go and read a Ryan Murphy interview to find out.

I can only really imagine that Matt or Shelby are the survivor. I'm kind of pulling for it to be Kathy Bates who, after leaves Roanoke, is blamed for the murders when it was actually the real spirits, and so in her revenge, goes on a killing spree and wins an Emmy for Best Supporting Method Actress in the Dramatic Re-Enactment of a Mini Docuseries.

I really loved this episode, best of the season easy. It's funny seeing the actors and real people interacting for the first time (and actually meeting the actors as characters properly finally, didn't expect Sarah to be such a BITCH).

I'm re watching it. Loving it so far, Hotel is definitely one my favs seasons.

The plot isn't amazing, but the setting and characters are brilliant.

Re-watching the scene, you may realize that Mary Tyrone was a direct link to Lange. The 67-year-old took to the role of Tyrone in A Long Day's Journey Into the Night at New York's Roundabout Theatre earlier this year. Skeptics will say that they could just be honoring Lange herself, and the line is a coincidence, but remember that on Horror Story, nothing is a coincidence!

I think they can get around Gags character being the supreme with
Kathy Bates character seems to be going 'crazy', thinking she's The Butcher, but what happens if being in that role acting in Roanoke, she has become The Butcher, she IS the Butcher. A bit like the soul of the butcher took over the real life actor

They could use this as a trigger for Gags to be the original supreme. She was acting the role of the witch but again acting in Roanoke has made her become Scathach, so she IS Scathach

I like the way the series has changed. I didn't mind the documentary format for the first 5 eps but it would have been boring by episode 10, so a change or direction like this is great. This is growing to be the most well written series since Asylum tbh, it seems well planned for once and has characters with some depth

Eps 1-5 were a "documentary" obviously not in our world but in the AHS world, so we were watching it as if we lived in the AHS world, ep 6 is set after the success of the "documentary" with both the actors who played the real life people and the real life people themselves who lived in the house, they're styling it a bit like found footage films like Blair witch to make it seem like it's real but obviously it's not

So originally it was like Sarah Paulson, playing Audrey playing Shelby reenacting what happened to the real Shelby in the Roanoke house
But now it's just Sarah Paulson playing Audrey living in the Roanoke house

Audrey annoyed me last week but totally won me around this week. *sees Sidney with his guts hanging out* "Oh I THINK HE'S DEAD!!!" :laugh2: And just the image of Audrey, Monet and Lee running around filming everything on their phones :joker:

I'm loving seeing the real versions of all these characters like the Polks, the witch, Mott and the Butcher etc. The real Butcher looks creepy as **** :flutter: And wtf at the real Edward Mott, looks a lot more interesting than the version Rory played, hope he shows up again.

I hope Agnes will show up as a ghost though (I assume so), she's too good to lose already. When she kept alternating between her real voice and the Butcher :laugh2:

It's a nice change for AHS to be better in it's latter half.
