As for the cast, they should keep Evan away from love interest roles, March was his best character since Tate since he just wasn't there to make googly eyes at the female lead. I want Sarah to play a villain, I liked Sally but she was quite disappointing when she was hyped up to be this big villainous character. They need some more stronger male characters too, Denis and Evan are great but they could do with at least one other compelling male character.

I can take or leave Gaga tbh and I hope that Kathy and Denis returns. I couldn't care less about Matt Bomer and the other male leads (that aren't Tate or Denis) from Hotel returning

The only male characters that have been really good from AHS before I stopped watching was the male cast from season 1, and Bloody Face.

I hate it when shows become too gender bias in one corner, it's why I cannot stand shows like Buffy The Vampire Slayer (besides the creepy necrophilia stuff too) and why I can't watch most Cop Shows because the male or female characters seem to lose any credibility by the end of the shows run.

Well it was a bit the other seasons where it started out really strong, lost its way somewhere in the middle but then ended kind of well

Personally I think it's worth a watch, and binge watching is a lot better than watching week by week, so I think you'll enjoy it more, plus this season has the only episode to ever get a 100 on Rotten Tomatos, and generally the critics enjoyed the season so yah, give it a watch tbh

Without Jessica it's a completely different show, I think a lot of fans are split that's it's a good/bad thing

I think overall, Coven is definitely the stronger whole season. But Hotel has a couple of pretty strong episodes. Just its overall was quite weak.

The standard is a huge improvement on Freak Show. But they've not made improvements on the pacing and structure so any good from it (within the first 6 episodes) falls apart in the second half. Much like Coven did.

Also another thing I didn't like from Coven on was how they made it less sinister and more comedic, like with Madam LaLaurie, that could have been a real creepy aspect but then they made her a talking head :worry:

I thought cutting her limb from limb was a great idea so that she lived as a head but then forcing her to watch Roots and stuff and be all sassy with Queenie made it too silly.

I didn't mind the comedic aspects, but you're right it bled too far into the darker stuff.

I thought Hotel was way better than both Coven and Freakshow but it's far from the peak of Asylum and Murder House.

The main problem with Hotel was that there was too many characters and not enough storyline to go around. As usual all the male characters bar March and Elizabeth were mostly pointless and the interesting characters ultimately didn't get enough screen time because of all the pointless characters hogging screen time.

Still, in comparison to the last two seasons it's a Tour De Force in Television excellence.

Seems like what I expected from Hotel with the vampire kids. Let's hope he can actually write a storyline this time.

Matt Bomer needs to be given an interesting character this time around, his role in hotel was basically to look pretty and show off his bod and Cheyenne just needs a character that isn't a walking talking plot device.

I like West Bentley and I liked John in the second half of the season but I don't think he should play the main character this time around. He's a bit wasted playing an 'eyes of the audience' type character, he'd be better off playing a supporting role.

I wanna see Finn Wittrock play a good guy for once, that'd be interesting as he's only played evil/morally ambiguous characters thus far.

I'm hoping that Angela, Kathy and Denis get significant roles this time around, Iris and Elizabeth pretty much carried Hotel and Angela's been given the short end of the stick when it comes to characters outside of Coven.

If Evan Peters comes back they need to keep him away from playing the Love Interest, March was his best character since Tate because he was playing against type.

I've recently rewatched the first three seasons (just finished Coven's last ep). My opinion on the first two hasn't really changed. Asylum is still the best, followed by Murder House (which I actually preferred on rewatch). With regards to Coven, it's not amazing but on a rewatch it was far better than before. It was a turning point in the franchise which quickly changed again, and although it was a bit camp and too comedic at times, it didn't go to the extremes that Scream Queens would. It's probably a 7/10, but I would have given it a 6 before so I'm glad I gave it another go.

the plot holes were what perhaps made it a bit annoying as well. no real explanation as to why marie/mcflurry were no longer immortal/could die, and madison's death was a bit far fetched given how she'd just proved she could do 6/7 wonders yet die so easily

I did one season on “Coven.” They offered me another season but I got offered a reality show in London and I needed the money. Let me tell you, those reality shows pay a lot of money. So I turned down “Freak Show,” biggest mistake of my life.

Thanks to one of our tipsters, we’ve learned one of the scenes they are filming this week is set in a nursing home/hospital type setting. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to divulge many details so it’s still unclear if this has to do with the show’s overall theme. It would be surprising if it did because Murphy has said he had two ideas for the show’s theme and both had to do with children.
