Umm.. I put one picture one and two where I want it, then zoom once, so its just a lil bit bigger, make my brush eraser pretty big then blend up to a line on one of the pictures (whichever is on top). Thenn I duplicate the layer and merge it together so it dosnt go all faded, eraser the lumps and bumps that appear and voila!

Then I do the rest the same (: x

Thanks for the advice Nicky, do you change the hardness of the brush by any chance? This is really hard to explain but it's like whenever I erase something instead of erasing it overlaps and just decreases the opacity. :shrug:

Are you using PS? You may have it on a low opacity. It's the hardness/flow you need to change to get a good blend.

It depends on the pictures. If they're from the same set, I'll just use the eraser brush because there isn't much to blend. Sometimes I'll use the lasso tool so it looks accurate. But with pictures from different sets (like my HSM one) I just blend. I think it creates a nice effect when its blended like that.

I find the Pen Tool so easy and aslong as you do enough points while zoomed in it will look as good as the lasso.

If you are on Photoshop, its down near the text and custom shape tool. It is normally used to make shapes but you can put it in 'Paths' mode you can right click after you have drawn round and then click make selection. :)

Thanks Nicky! I've made myself a new banner, It's different from my usual ones because I like using cut out renders but I've tried to go for a smudge on none cut out ones instead. I think it turned out all right.

Now I can't decide which I like best. I think the coloured one looks better but I dunno if I've gone over the top with it?

Ooh I like the top one Dezzy, just because its not as bright as the other one, which I think is too bright? Its good that your experimenting with colour though maybe just tone it down a bit?
A few little things which might help you are that try not to squeeze the picture, as it makes the person look a bit squished, like on the far left hand side, and pictures look far better if the person is just at the normal width and heights. Also try and use different colours on the fonts, I'm not sure what you can do on GIMP, but try and like experiment a bit more with text effects, as the one you used is quite dark?
Other than that the blending is really good, and I really like the banner. :D

That's alot better, the second one is more colourized but not as bright and looks really good! I still like the first one alot too, and the font effect you have used makes it stand out alot more than it did before. :D

They are nice Scampi but they both look a bit exposed, her face looks really edited. Apart from that though it is really nice but maybe you could change the "I'm Wllhelmina Slater" bit to a lower-case i because it looks like two LL's after each other.

I have it saved so I will keep everything and change the pictures a bit to make it less sharp and stuff. But it is all in lowecase cept where there should be caps.
