Firstly I just want to say THANKS FOR WAITING and I am sorry it took so long

So, Vanessa. The BB6 housemate notorious for being a bore, dull, sleeping and eating all the time (me) and she was these things....sometimes! Vanessa was never a dynamic interesting character and at best she played a small part role in the series, but the role she did play, she excelled at. As Makosi's lackey, Vanessa endlessly stirred, agreed with Makosi about everything, spent ages in the loft bitching, and had a hilarious subplot revolving entirely around food <3

The most interesting thing about Vanessa for me though is how by the end of the series, I genuinely believe she was the only person Makosi liked. It's possible because unlike Kemal and Orlaith, she didn't challenge Makosi on anything but it still fascinates me, why did she trust and love Vanessa so much but no one else? It's actually probably one of the strongest friendships of these three series and very underrated.

The best moment of Vanessa for me though is "DIRTY LITTLE PROSTITUTE" being yelled accross the kitchen with such anger and disgust  For that alone Vanessa showed she could stand up to the people who intimidated her and made her mark in Big Brother history.

I guess we have to discuss her exit, which, which compelling and gripping, was sad and very hard to watch, and she didn't deserve it. Still, she got arguably the most memorable exit in Big Brother history so who really won?

I'm kind of surprised at how many people wanted Lisa out! I know she's not massively popular and she was definitely hard to like at times, but overall I felt she was a good housemate who contributed a lot of mess to the first few weeks of BB7.

Her underrated role as the first of many of Pete's lovers was a gem, her dragging him to her bed being the highlight  :skull: and then going on to be Grace's little gremlin who obeyed her beck and call despite being a mouthy lass who would seemingly hate someone as snobby (supposedly) as Grace.

Lisa was definitely gross and annoying, but I can't help appreciate her role in BB7, she was so inarticulate and her swearing was so frequent it all circled back to funny for me. She would often talk of pissing on people's pillows and stuff which is gross but once again it was obvious she would never go through with it. I think Lisa deserves credit (or dislike depending on how you look at it) for being the most bitchy person in BB7 yes, even more than Grace. She was so shockingly two faced all the while claiming to be real, something that's never brought up? I think she inadvertently created a lot of the tension of the early days of BB7. She was actually a villain character and I appreciate her for it <3

I was also totally agreeing with her on the likes of Richard and Susie so snatch those correct opinions sis. She dud annoy me though, and I can't with how two faced she was to Nikki when she said she wouldn't be nominated and then did later on that day :/

25. Shahbaz Chaudry

http://pictures.thisisbigbrother.com/Big_Brother_7/day1/normal_shahbaz-f.jpg

Shahbaz. I don't even know where to start with this guy, I have so many opinions on him but he is easily the most ott being to have ever been cast on this show, the most insane, unpredictable, and bizarre and when this show has given people as crazy as Makosi and as OTT as Nikki, that's not an easy thing to do. I never, ever liked Shahbaz, infact the first time I properly watched BB7, I loathed him to the point where he was probably my second least favourite of the entire series...a rewatch and hindsight has made me change my mind, and I now appreciate him, but the whole situation around him is so strange and unpleasant it's hard to know what to think of it.

First off, stating the obvious, Shahbaz was bullied. End of/saskia. He was sent to Coventry, locked out, had his clothes stolen, and generally put through hell for a number of arguably the most uncomfortable few days of these three series, and honestly I DO find it compelling television...I hate what he went through and I hate how everything panned out, but when I watch that first week, I would be lying if I said I wasn't always hooked, even after seeing it before.

However, while I would never say Shahbaz brought it on himself, because no one deserves the treatment he was given, he wasn't an easy housemate to live with and I can empathise why the housemates go so annoyed by him. He was constantly performing, he threw the food away, he touched Glyn even after he asked not to be, and when challenged on this accused him of homophobia. He apparently got his penis out randomly in front of people he barely knew, which is gross and something he would be thrown out for now. Shahbaz was a wind up, and clearly mentally unstable. It's like they looked at Ahmed and Science who had worked so well as that type of housemate, and sped it p to a million. At the end of the day, I blame Big Brother - while he was a compelling housemate, he should have never been chosen, and the fact he made a suicide threat on TV proved that. The whole situation was compelling, uncomfortable, insightful and like nothing I have seen before...but it would have been best for everyone involved, if the producers had done their job and not picked him in the first place.

24. Jayne Kitt

http://i.dailymail.co.uk/img/galleries/bb7/jayneeviction/jayne_350x250.jpg

From one messy BB7 housemate to another, despite having her in pink I definitely lean positive towards miss Jayne. She came in in week six in a vest in the middle of the day (reece provide the gifs sis) and just kinda caused endless **** for three weeks :joker: It's weird because I credit Jayne for saving BB7 and adding a bit of drama to dissect when everything else was dull, but also for ruining the series by getting Nikki evicted. Speaking of, I love her friendship with Nikki even though she brought out Nikki's bitchy and paranoid side, I couldn't help laugh at there drags, even regarding the people I liked such as Aisleyne.

Jayne is one of those really good, really entertaining one dimensional housemates who are repetitive in their behaviour, but most of the time it was hilarious. Favourite moment is saying to Aisleyne "Im not a bull****ter like you" to which Aisleyne asks what she meant, and Jayne FLAT OUT denies having ever said it :joker: I do wish she was part of the launch night cast, such a missed opportunity to see how she would be around the likes of Grace, but ah well BB7 was full of missed opportunities so what's another one ey.

Even though Jayne was a massive stirrer, I do actually consider her to be a nice person and I hope she's living it up these days <3

23. Jennie Corner

http://www.jenniecorner.co.uk/Images/runway/2-09-26.jpg

Jennie is HUGELY underrated. I have no idea why she's branded a bore, because she;s not at all? I think because she came in late and was a pretty normal person who got a small vote, it's just easy to brand her boring. She's a ten a penny type girl who you would meet on a night out or see working in the shop, but that's not a bad thing at all. Jennie added a lot to her seven weeks, certainly more than Mikey did in 11 or Susie did in 8. She did everything a good housemate should - she had fun, she gave good diary room, she stuck up for herself, she took no **** and was actually really mature for someone of only 18. She's another I wish had been part of the launch night cast, someone who would have stood up to the likes of Grace, Imogen and Lisa and who might have made the divide more tense being the mouthpiece of Team Richard. Jennie was essentially wasted, under edited and underused. She never lit the world on fire, and she wasn't particularly interesting, but her presence made the second half of BB7 better imo. I mean how can she be considered a bore when she CLOCKED Mikey over the wine in an underrated argument?

Jennie is the type of housemate who would shine on a later series, but imo she was pretty good anyway.

22. Emma Greenwood

https://i.ytimg.com/vi/UiWiswjepMk/hqdefault.jpg

Emma is disliked on here but she really shouldn't be. She's hilarious, sweet, emotional, raw, real and is nothing but herself all the time. I can see why some dislike her but for me she's more often than not entertaining television. She's problematic, yes, but this is a forum that supports Makosi, Nikki, Grace and some even Saskia so I mean yes she said stupid, bigoted things but I don't hold it against her. The fact she said the N word to Victor eight times on launch night really solidified that she couldn't be anything but herself, even if she tried. She was genuinely stupid, it wasnt an act as so many since have been, but I do also think she was nice too.

Emma sticks out to me as being one of the most easily angry housemates in the history of the show - she gets so het up during Fight Night she threatens to kill a man double her size, spits at him and sobs breathlessly about how he's been scheming against her. It can be uncomfortable, but it stays on the right side for me. I mean look at how quickly this argument escalates, it's insane

UiWiswjepMk

Of course Emma is known for Fight Night, which I have touched upon, but did she deserve to be ejected? Sure if she was the only one to get violent, then absolutely yes, but she wasn't. Compare Jason who kicked a door down, threatened to knock someone out, or Nadia and Vanessa who literally HIT eachother, it all just seems unfair to me. I think she was ejected because she was the most volatile, Nadia and Victor could be calmed down and become reasonable, but Emma was too much of a loose cannon to keep. It's probably another situation where the producers should have been more careful with the casting, but for this one, I'm gad she was cast, she was a big part of some of the best weeks in history, and I wish she stayed longer.

Vanessa, like Jason, is a reason I'm glad I'm re-watching BB5. I never disliked her, but did think she was kind of an annoying dullard the first time I watched. She is still annoying, but dull? This one frazzles my mind even more than Jennie, Vanessa was anything but DULL.

If I tilt my head and squint, I see her as the Grace and Saskia of BB5, albeit a much nicer version, being the 'main' female in the 'normal' group who are at war with the so called 'freaks' of their respective series. She delivered massively on this role, and I actively ended up really liking Vanessa by week three, and by her eviction was gutted she lost to Dan, as I think she had such potential to bring more to the series.

Vanessa was, even moreso than Victor and Jason, the main antagonist to the Lipgloss Bitches in the early weeks, she had some great arguments, and while I'm clearly a Lipgloss Bitch fan (apart from Marco) I appreciated her in this. This being my personal favourite

UM5ni5Gm7OQ

"YOU GUUUUYS ARE BEING SEEELFISH ENOUGH" :joker:

Vanessa had flaws for sure, she was condescending and patronising and I didn't care for her relationship with Jason, but I see her as a great female villain in one of the best series, even if she wasn't actually an unpleasant person herself.

Oh and she screamed one of the most iconic lines in the history of the show "FUUUUUUUUUCK OFF NADIA" and then got into a physical fight with her, pretty controversial for a so called bore.

I really don't have a reason for ranking Sam so highly...I just really liked her! She was this random horny woman who sang and annoyed everyone all the time and got naked  Whats not to love?

Sam is mainly remembered for her rivalry with Lesley, which like I touched upon in Lesleys writeup, I see as bullying. What did Sam ever do to warrant the abuse she received? TBH I think it was just a jealousy issue on Lesley's part. Abusing her, hiding her stuff etc was not something she deserved, and I felt really bad for her.

Sam was just a really endearing, pleasant and fun short lived character, and this to me was her shining moment

https://i2-prod.dailyrecord.co.uk/incoming/article8126266.ece/ALTERNATES/s615b/sam-brodie.jpg

Sam is one of the housemates I feel most mixed on. I think she's a great housemate who brought it in her ten day stay, which is sadly forgotten and she is often dismissed (not on here) as a bore who did nothing, which is such a blinkered view considered she was one of the most overbearing housemates and was a massive part of one of the biggest conflicts of the series.

From the producers eyes, seeing as they seemed so intent on casting annoying hard to live with housemates around this era, I think Sam was a replacement for Shahbaz. To the other housemates, that is pretty much what she is - a watered down less dangerous version of Shahbaz, someone who would cause some drama then leave swiftly, and wow she certainly did that, even if it's arguable if she caused it.

The whole situation with Lea, Grace and Lisa is such a complex one that's confusing to watch even after a first watch, it's the biggest he said she said situation in the history of the show, and is pretty hard to wrap your head around exactly what happened. Many blame Grace, and she certainly did play a part in it, but I don't see Sam as innocent as many others do. No way do I think she was a nasty or deliberately horrible person, but I do think what she was accused of by Lea - selling out Lea and Richard to join Team Grace - was essentially true. There was nothing wrong with it, she was a complex confused teenager who wanted to join the popular gang, but whilst I believe she was upset, her turning it into a scenario mainly about Lea saying she was an arselicker, was irrelevant to what the situation was initially about and a way to deflect having to admit that she did sell out Lea and Richard. Do I blame Sam for this? No. It's easily one of the most fascinating episodes ever imo, and such compelling viewing.

Away from that, Sam was pretty much spoke about appallingly, with a lot of ignorant comments being flung about, and it's hard to watch these days. Some people think Sam was bullied, I personally don't think so, because she was never actually treated appallingly to her face, and there lies the difference. What was said about Sam was so ignorant that it didn't have to be bullying to make it bad though.

Ultimately, I don't blame the housemates for finding Sam annoying, I would have certainly found her annoying if I was there, constantly wanting to be with someone, walking in on people on the toilet, disturbing people in their sleep, I can see why she was disliked amongst the group. She was, however, a brilliant housemate, complex, unique, intriguing, strange, and essentially a confused person finding her place in the world. It's a shame she went, though it was the right decision.

http://www.calrissian.com/images/saskia_angry_makosi_cider.jpg

Saskia is my ultimate mixed housemate. I kind of love her, but a lot of the time I can't stand her. I think she gets both underrated and overrated on here, I don't think she's anywhere near as bad as a lot of people say but the likes of miss cal and riley claiming her as one of the best housemates of all time? I have to laugh.

Saskia is ultimately known for her last week, and one of the best downfall stories ever, but before that, Saskia was actually one of the quiet normal ones in the first few weeks, iconic argument with Mary aside. She produced some classic lines in that argument, "Dont grit your teeth at me like a dog, woman" is legendary and said with such venomI laugh every time. Aside from that though, Saskia was kind of quiet, nice, friendly, not really a big character at all, and generally felt almost too normal for a series like BB6? I feel she would have been amazing in Vanessa Nimmo's role in BB5, imagine her vs Nadia.

She had an amazing rivalry with Derek, in which she was named "the silent assasin" and gradually, slowly built a team of which she was the leader and around weeks three - four Saskia was easily the most powerful person in the house. She had her man, her two slaves who would do pretty much anything for her, and she became really arrogant and cocky, like Maxwell. Saskia really thought she would be in the final without question, all because of the cheers of week two. I watched the nomination reveal episode before this, and a quote that sticks to me is "They dont want us up, but they aint got a choice" which really proves my point.

Of course, this all leads to an amazing house divide with Team Makosi, and in week five Saskia was a straight up bitch and played the villain amazingly. Her anger during cidergate was so strong I think it may be the angriest anyone got all series, which isn't an easy thing to do in such a conflict heavy series. She did come out with some classic lines "GO TO FAACKIN AMERICA WE DONT GIVE A FUUUUCK" and "Surprised your not fingering yourself" but essentially revealed herself to be a bigoted bitch.

Saskia is an amazing housemate for me, but as a person I don't like her. She's no where near amongst the most vile in history, or even her series though and ultimately I lean more positive. Her downfall storyline, along with Maxwell, is easily the best and for me she was an entertaining housemate.

I really like Victor, and my BB5 watch has made him shoot up in my estimation, but for a big character I dont have much to say on him? He was quirky, unique in that he openly played the game, delivered some great lines, played a big role and was actually a decent person underneath it all.

Victor is most remembered for fight night and his rivalry with Emma, which was great, but he was a great presence I enjoyed watching even when he wasn't doing much.

Victor was a great housemate and a good person, and I credit him for playing the game in a way no one before or since did, openly admitting he was on a game show and wants to win is a good thing, and it was refreshing to see. My favourite things about him were when he would chat to Big Brother about this and what his next move was. Remember when he engineered the Daniel and Vanessa eviction because he thought the LGbS were done and he needed the other group out? Scheming legend.

Imogen is the most underrated housemate, EVER. She was a likeable down to earth humble strong minded chick who made a likeable character and background presence throughout BB7. I guess because she's a pretty model she gets labelled a bore? I started liking Imogen in week two where she ended Richard in an argument, showing she had balls, and showed him for the absolute mug he was..

Imogen was actually a pretty strong person who stood up for her friends - in the house next door she didn't once take part in the Aisleyne bitching, as it was so easy to do, and even defended her. I also think she played an important role in the dynamics - she was the real mother of the house, not Lea or Susie, I mean look at Aisleyne and Glyn's reaction to her eviction. She really wasn't the vacuous bore Richard painted her out to be at all.

Imogen also brought fun and some memorable moments like "HOT TOPICS! HOT TOPICS! HOT TOPICS! WITH IMOGEN""

https://i.imgur.com/x0yRV0l.gif

and her gorgeous song for Susie  Imogen wasn't the most dynamic character, but so what? She was a great housemate and brought a lot to the show in a subtle way, and she'll always be one of my favourites.

THIS LEGEND.

Mary was evicted after only 8 days, but she contributed so much to her time she whilst there that I'm ranking her this highly. Mary, from launch night, had my attention coming into the house as a white witch was always going to be fascinating, and then Mary spent her first week sulking, sleeping and arguing. #me

My favourite Mary moment is probably when she states she's going flying and no one else could use her broomstick as only she had a licence to fly  and then dancing in the garden with Kemal whilst eating singing about rain. Another stand out is when she claims on night one to want to leave :joker: and then goes on to say how the gnomes had their own community.

Let's not forget Mary had Saskia clocked for the bigot she was confirming that she truly does have magical powers :clap1: and it culminated in one of the best remembered arguments

HFa-tx0q2bU

Mary was a brilliant, odd character and I wish she had lasted longer, but it doesn't do any damage to BB6 at all which only gets stronger. She was endlessly fascinating, and I do consider her to easily be the best first evictee ever.

I guess people are surprised Shell is so high, but yeah I really like her. It's another case where I see people cry "bore" but just don't get it. I mean I can see where people come from with others, but Shell was actually a pretty active housemate, despite what the likes of Marco and Victor think.

I think we have to start with her wedding meltdown, which is one of the best episode in the history of the show. She attacked Victor with the classic line "Victor you're a **** but I am dancing with you" which led to Victor totally melting down and, so Shell, the quiet girl who hated conflict, got the big gameplayer evicted by actually surprising us and standing up for herself. I also totally agree with Shell in the argument, Victor had been off with her all day and for no reason other than he seemingly thought she was posh and boring? I really like Victor but it made no sense.

I think Shell actually grew up a bit in the house, think about the girl on fight night hyperventilating in the shower to the girl who finally snapped and told Victor what she though. I'm likely reading too much into it, but as Shell herself says she got a bit more "badass" -cringe-

Then we have the naked lawnmower, the meltdown over Jason not liking smoking, supporting Nadia through her needs, her random need to get naked, and being a nice person who played a big part in her series without ever getting nasty. She deserved her place in that final, and was a great housemate.

13. Craig Coates

http://www.calrissian.com/images/craig_postmaxwell_stinkingmood.jpg

I don't even know where to start with Craig. Hes such a horrible, impressionable, pathetic, bitchy and hypocritical person that I'm surprised he's so high up on the list, but as a housemate Craig is easily for me one of the most compelling of all time.

Craig wasn't all about Anthony though, he's actually a pretty mediocre housemate for the first half of the show, not really playing a bit part in any events bar forming Team Britney - probably the shortest lived clique in the history of the show and a transparent attempt to repeat the lip gloss bitches, something Craig had seen were popular the year before. When Lesley leaves and Vanessa joins Makosi, Craig ends up as the beta in Saskia's clique, pretty much obeying their beck and call in an attempt to fit in, which this begins the Anthony obsession.

The Craig loves Anthony storyline is such a hard but gripping watch because it's a story that so often happens in real life, myself included. I think a lot of gay guys have fallen for their straight best friend at one point, so this made Craig both relatable and horrifying to watch for me. I've said it here in the past but the night of the ambassador's ball is the only time I have ever had to literally pause the screen because I was so cringed out, it's new levels of weird and ****ed up. Craig literally won't let go of Anthony even as he shouts him to get off, and it's all so cringe. The never ending arguments, the tears, I know it as too much or repetitive for some but for me it was a great storyline. Unique, compelling funny, cringeworthy and somehow almost relatable. Craigs feelings for Anthony is probably the only time I would say someone has actually fallen in love (cringe) with someone else in the Big Brother house.

So yeah, Craig is such a complex housemate and he admittedly carried the last few weeks of the sho, remember his panic attack and his claims Eugene was trying to destroy him? He seriously did go insane in the house, which kept me glued to my laptop screen back in the winter of 2012.

I actually theorise Craig was always insane as proven by him having the most spiteful VT of all time, and he really was the best kind of cringe there is<3. Apart from somehow making Anthony look rational, there's also him being worthless at any decency or rationality on approaching any of the many confrontations in his series. I remember when Science was dragging how fake he was and then all Craig could say was "You are out of your league with me boy. Out. Of your. LEEEEAGUE! YOU DO NOT KNOW WHO I AM OR WHAT I CAN DOOOO! :) ".

Some of his haters thought he was too reliant on the Anthony storyline, but there was loads of great stuff. He would've probably went down that route with any male he found attractive and if anything, Anthony was just his second choice after Maxwell. I always have to laugh at how ****ty he was with loyalty. First he's best friends with Lesley and hates Saskia along with his group, then becomes best friends with Saskia after Lesley leaves and hates Makosi along with this group, then after Saskia is evicted and Anthony has enough of him, he befriends MAKOSI while still hating her :joker:

12. Science Harvey

http://worldofbigbrother.com/BB/UK/6/hms/Science2.jpg

Though not seeming so on paper, Science is a very unique character in BBUK. He was very quirky, different, witty, bizare, argumentative, loud and capable of remorse and often displayed moments of kindness and self reflection. Science annoyed me at first, and I kind of just saw him as loud noise and one of the least interesting personalities in BB6, but I really started to warm to him around week 3. The time he threw water on Kemal, regretted it to the point he stayed in bed not speaking, and then apologised as Kieran rather than Science really showed me what a nice, if very flawed, person he is.

Science floated around not really connecting with anyone bar a very utr friendship with Makosi, which didn't get much screen time but when it was shown it was one of the more endearing friendships in the house. Science is more known for his rivalries rather than friendships, and the main one is Maxwell. I was completely on Science's side during this, and it was one of the main stories of the first half of BB6, culminating in one of the most satisfying evictions ever when Science beat smug Maxwell in a close eviction, leaving the likes of Craig, Anthony and best of all, Maxwell himself utterly shocked. It's gone down as a classic eviction and rightly so.

The other main storyline with Science was his tragic relationship with Derek in which they went from having a flawed father son type friendship to straight out loathing each other. It was sad the way it all turned out in the end, but did provide moments like the argument in dog costumers "DONT touch me if I dont which to be touched by you, now get away!". Science was a fascinating, flawed character who is imo the second biggest contributor to BB6. He brought something every time he was on screen, whether it be through arguments, his wittiness or an explosive argument, Science was watchable and a compelling housemate.

11. Grace Adams Short

http://pictures.thisisbigbrother.com/Big_Brother_7/day1/normal_grace-b.jpg

Grace is a Big Brother Legend. End of. Sis was an amazing housemate and was a pivotal figure in the best week's in Big Brother history. Yeah she was a bitch but no more than let's say...Marco, Makosi, Craig, Nikki, Richard and Lisa, and that's off the top off my head, so it genuinely baffles me she gets all the hate for it. I think it's something to do with that Grace was so alpha she really does remind you of the HBIC in the school popular gang :joker:

Whilst Grace is remembered for being one of the most iconic villains in the show's history, I have often stated I don't think she's that bad, certainly not enough to be labelled one of the most horrible people ever to go on the show. To expand, I think she had more positives than negatives, don't get me wrong, some of the things she said were gross, but for the most part it was petty **** like "boring hag" and "she looks gross" and like, who hasn't said stuff like that in the past? Grace was one of the more normal housemates in her series, as she so often liked to express, and she pretty much developed a gang in the first few days. It slowly disintegrated, and so she brought on Glyn and Lisa and previous enemy Nikki, so ho elitist can she be really? I know I previously touched on Imogen being house mother, but I think, in the early days, Grace kind of fulfilled that role? She was the housemate everyone went to for advice, she looked after people, and was easily the strongest presence in the house at the time, if producers didn't rig her eviction, I truly believe she would have managed to get to the final, if we lost all twists, and we would have had a very different series. She was bitchy, yes, but she was also caring, strategic and probably the most alpha person to go on the show. Grace ruled that house, which is why the comparisons to ****ing Caroline are still gross.

Also, gave us the most iconic eviction in Big Brother history and arguably the last truly classic moment the civilian show has ever given us

This legend  Ahmed kind of just entered the house looking like a bit of a boring old man with dusty views, but he turned into one of the standout housemates of the series and was probably the first really crazy people BBUK ever cast. His first week was really quit until he randomly started arguing with Marco after Jason telling him he needs to speak up  It got crazier from there, ending the week arguing with everyone about immigrants with Kitten

Ahmed had his break out moment in week two, in which he would be remembered for, the plate smashing incident in which he furiously smashed plates from the garden because an alarm was playing. Like I know this is an iconic moment, but wtf? He nearly hit Vanessa as well.

It's quite hard to do a write up on Ahmed because he wasn't a very important character storyline wise, he just slept, sulked and moped around the house in his on world, providing endless hilarious and crazy moments, ranging from hilarious dancing with Becki, smashing Maureen the statue

http://images.yuku.com/image/gif/007369a33c8aaae6d498e64560d8086c07f041c7_r.gif

to his highlight: his full blown meltdown in the army task  Ahmed started using china cups, to pretending he had a cold, and having endless arguments to get out of the task. It's known as one of the best weeks in Big Brother history and that's mostly down to Ahmed.

The best part of this was his arguments with Michelle, including throwing a cup at one another

http://i.imgur.com/0Fevsro.gif

and the best part, Ahmed actually asking Michelle for her jacket so he could stage a coup and become an officer. It was up there with Makosi's pregnancy as one of the most surreal "did I just hear correctly?!" type moments in Big Brother history, and it was both hilarious and dramatic.

Also, never forget, he is NOT a sandwich

9. Aisleyne Horgan Wallace

http://img.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2006/08/AisleyneKNP_450x334.jpg

Aisleyne. Probably the name in Big Brother UK which most divides people's opinion, along with another blonde female from the same series. As a bit of background, Aisleyne used to be my favourite housemate ever. I still really like her as shown by this ranking but she's not as consistent as I remembered, and Aisleyne's behaviour after the show kind of dampens her "journey" storyline she had in BB7.

That being said, Aisleyne is a fantastic housemate who brought it from the moment she stepped out the box to the moment she walked out the door in third place. She kind of seemed like she would be an inconsequential housemate at first, seeming like just another glamour girl in a show known for having glamour girls. She immediately disproved this though, asking Sezer straight up if he was a bully after a comment was made. I think Aisleyne was cast as an opponent to Grace's gang, a bit of a Saskia character, the hard faced London street girl, who wouldn't last the distance.

She didn't really seem to fulfil this role though, despite her words on some instances it was obvious to me Aisleyne was a much kinder, more layered person than the one she presented. She was kind of a quiet housemate at first, not really involved in house action bar being a victim of behind back ridicule for the plastics. This ll changed on Grace's eviction where Aisleyne defended Susie who was clearly shocked and outraged that someone could throw water on an older woman, and it would probably be remembered as her break out moment.

Aisleyne's reaction to her housemates nominating her in attacking Lea is also something she was remembered for, which to me seemed hypocritical considering how she had reacted to Nikki and Grace's behaviour a few weeks prior. That didn't mean I went off her or anything, in fact this is by far her best week for me, adding more to her character which seemed a bit more confused than an average Big Brother Housemate.

Obviously then there was The House Next Door, in which she MELTED down in tears over having to evict Jonathan. I was both sympathetic and embarrassed, was it real or fake? I lean to real, but who knows.

Overall Aisleyne went on a journey in the house, at least I thought so, in which she discovered herself and who she was, how she handled things and how she didn't need to pretend to be a street girl with a hard exterior and could simply be herself.

I'm not as convinced as I was considering her behaviour since, but during BB7 she truly went on a journey and was a near perfect housemate.

Also her reaction to coming third was quite a scene

:clap1:

My favourite housemate ever!

I don't really have much to say on Kinga. It should speak for itself, she was there for two weeks yet has place so highly. She came in late, pretty much had no story relevance at all, but was a hilarious, likeable and fun force of nature.

I actually loved how she became part of Derek's clique and sang with him all day  It was such a gorgeous friendship from two housemates you would never put together. Singing songs and letting him touch the boobs

Of course, her defining moment is what she's remembered for

Although it's a toughie since if she had entered in week 5, we may not have had the bottle incident

Then again, I would've loved to have seen her interact with Science, Kemal, Maxwell, Saskia and Vanessa. She said she was gonna flirt with Maxwell to wind Saskia up. I wonder if she would've gone through with it

Epic.
19-02-2019, 12:31 AM
I know we all talk about how legendary the bottle moment is, but Kinga is so much more than that and the write up doesn't fully do that justice. If you really evaluate everyone from that series, she was ironically the only genuine and friendly person and always meant well despite being completely unhinged (Eugene was a spineless follower, Mary was too caught up in her own ways, Kemal got too bitchy sometimes, and Science was too much of a rogue). So if you step back and think about that bearing that aspect in mind, Derek liking her makes sense. And when she finally does do something spiteful, it's only after days of Makosi demeaning her, and the payoff to all of it to include Makosi's look of horror when Kinga cackles lies that she drank her cherry tango makes it all worthwhile<3.

7. Michelle Bass

http://pictures.thisisbigbrother.com/BB5/Michelle/Big%20Brother%20Day%2062%2028-07-2046_06.jpg

Michelle Bass is pretty much a flawless housemate. She was always entertaining, never nasty, rootable, cringeworthy, temperamental and is arguably the BBUK housemate involved in the most iconic moments. I mean, think about it...she was a huge part of the bedsit, involved in a clique, had a romance, had sex, was a huge player in the drama of three massive tasks army, wedding and chains, she was also the centre of the Judas Kiss and provied the most meomorable vocals in Big Brother history with her version of Pie Jesu. Michelle crammed this all into nine weeks, and I really don't think there is anything else you could ask of her as a housemate. You can squeeze my bap too.

I guess the main draw of Michelle is her bunny boiler esque relationship with Stuart, which in comparison to Craig and Lea, is positively tame really. Michelle never made me feel the embarrassment or awkwardness Craig did,, which is why I prefer her in the role, and nothing ever got ambassador's ball level disturbing, so it was pretty much a fun storyline for me. My favourite part of this has to be during the wedding task though, where she had a meltdown over not being the bride, made her own wedding dress, then made a den to get 'lost' with Stuart under the table  Then there was all the jealousy in the chain gang task, ranging from bread baking to waiting outside the diary room until Stuart had come out :joker:

Michelle was also a star in the boot camp task, shouting Ahmed down about his laziness with her boobs out  and then throwing a flip flop at him the next day.

Michelle was an all round fantastic contestant, and I think the cherry on top is that she was never nasty or malicious, proving that you don't have to be argumentative or nasty to be a big character, and along with the remaining six housemates, is up there with my favourite housemates of all time.

I don't feel good about this one at all, and Nadia is and always will be one of my favourite housemates of all time, and by far my favourite winner....even though she ranks really highly, it feels kind of low to me, as when I initally did this, Nadia was higher....but because I want to be as accurate as possible, I have to admit the five remaining housemates compel me a little more, so she ends up sixth. Anyway, onto Nadia...

Nadia is everything I could ask for in a housemate. She's the type of person I tuned into watch this show for originally, genuine but entertaining people who reveal pretty much everything about themselves and are unapologetic for it. Nadia, like no other housemate since, wore her heart on her sleeve and revealed herself to the house and the viewers without ever giving a flying ****, and I love her for it. She was argumentative, loud, rude, aggressive, funny, kind, remorseful, capable of being an all round flawed human being. She was complex in every way possible, and never was anything but compelling and fascinating to watch. Some of my favourite moments are

UM5ni5Gm7OQ

0sfnrR0OxWk

Her argument with Jason is also up there as an all time favourite moment, screaming in his face that she isn't scared of him  I just love this woman, pretty much, and don't be surprised to come back in a few months to see her having entered the top five.

She was also fantastic on Ultimate Big Brother, and probably the best housemate on there, putting Coolio in his place and having meltdowns left right and centre. Nadia is someone what you see is what you get, and you'll either love it or dislike it. I personally loved her,and her winning moment is by far my favourite in the history of this show, I cried as you could see it meant so much to her, and she was so deserving.

She was a nasty woman, constantly obsessing over Pete and acting like he was all hers. Manipulating him into disliking Lisa. She couldn't handle the fact that him and Lisa were very close. Jealous, possessive bunny boiler she was

She was also vile to Shahbaz- During the part where they locked him out and took his clothes, she was watching him with a huge grin on her face.

Why is an innocent cock obsessed lady being slandered like this

Loads of your favourites are nasty and out of the top five shes probably the least nasty after Kemal

We're not talking about any of my favourites tho, We're talking about Lea and how overrated she is.

And which of my favourites are nasty? I can only think of Rex

If you're going to use that against Lea, you might as well use it against all of them because the whole house treated him like ****.

Marcus and Victor were hardly nasty

Marcus was way more creepy and manipulative than Lea

Anyway I dont think any were that nasty but nastier than Lea? Yes

I think the only person I came out of Week 1 of BB7 actually liking was Pete and that’s because iirc, he was the only one to be nice to Shahbaz

She defended him when the rest of the house was quick to blame him for the food being outside

The others couldn't relate

They did, but it was worse coming from Lea because Shahbaz thought she was his friend. She was smiling the most all the way though that incident. prior to that, she was aggressively hurling abuse at him.

He thought Lea was his friend even after she hurled abuse at him moments prior?

It's not our Lea's fault that Shiraz didn't get the hint!

5. Derek Laud

https://media1.popsugar-assets.com/files/thumbor/Z3mHumsLN3VxSDARRYlIy_TX8yM/fit-in/1024x1024/filters:format_auto-!!-:strip_icc-!!-/ons1/258/2589278/36_2009/bb6derek/i/BB6-Derek.jpg

Derek Laud is the funniest person on this list. Easily. The man had me in hysterics every other sentence with his sharp, acid tongued comments and it was constantly entertaining. He is without a doubt one of the best housemates of all time, and one of the best and most interesting casting choices the producers made.

Derek is the most unique housemate on this list. Yeah there had been rich people before, but no one like Derek, a back gay foxhunting Tory - he was like something out of a sitcom, or like a character a show like Little Britain would make up. He was honestly such a bizarre and weird human being, he ranged from father figure to scheming plotter in a matter of minutes, and was entirely unpredictable as a result.

My favourite thing about Derek, which I touched on above, is how ****ing funny he is. Like, seriously, he made me laugh more than most sitcoms I watch and that's not an exaggeration. A lot of his humour was dark and bitchy so I get why it was too much for some people, but it worked for me. Some of my favourites

"She puts make up on to have a crap."
"She no more wants to leave than she wants all the mirrors taking out the house."
"BRAIN DEAD peroxide BLONDE I dont think so."
"I'm off as it's Leeds vs Belfast in the garden and I dont want to miss it."
"He is the first black person who makes me want to become a member of the BNP."
When Kemal asks him his favourite meal "I think im about to have it"
Sam singing I Will Survive "I hope you dont dear"

Derek also developed cute friendships with a few people, my favourites being Kemal and Kinga. Him and Kemal were so hilariously bitchy together that any interaction was gold, their paranoia over Orlaith led to some truly funny moments. Him and Kinga was also probably the strangest interaction I have seen, the best bit being Derek asking to touch Kingas boobs and shouting "IM FRIGHTENED". Derek was also an ice cold bitch a lot of the time, and his various rivalries were often and hilarious. Ranging from Saskia the silent assassin to Science to Orlaith, they all provided great TV. I'll take this is an opportunity to say I never saw Derek as a bully, he could be cruel yes, but I never saw him as a bully. I mean how anyone can think he was a bully to Orlaith when they never so much as had an argument is just bizarre to me.

Overall Derek is an incredible housemate, compelling and hilarious, kind and evil, charming and sly, all at the same time. He is the type of housemate we would never get on Channel 5 and was a true one off. The lady is not for turning..

Matthew.

I never got the thought process behind Derek being a nasty person, he was one of the nicest people of that cast (but then again it’s not hard)

Anyway, Derek    A Top 5 housemate for sure

Matthew.

Derek was a Tory but he’s a Lib Dem now so he’s forgiven! :flutter:
