Michelle Bass is pretty much a flawless housemate. She was always entertaining, never nasty, rootable, cringeworthy, temperamental and is arguably the BBUK housemate involved in the most iconic moments. I mean, think about it...she was a huge part of the bedsit, involved in a clique, had a romance, had sex, was a huge player in the drama of three massive tasks army, wedding and chains, she was also the centre of the Judas Kiss and provied the most meomorable vocals in Big Brother history with her version of Pie Jesu. Michelle crammed this all into nine weeks, and I really don't think there is anything else you could ask of her as a housemate. You can squeeze my bap too.

I guess the main draw of Michelle is her bunny boiler esque relationship with Stuart, which in comparison to Craig and Lea, is positively tame really. Michelle never made me feel the embarrassment or awkwardness Craig did,, which is why I prefer her in the role, and nothing ever got ambassador's ball level disturbing, so it was pretty much a fun storyline for me. My favourite part of this has to be during the wedding task though, where she had a meltdown over not being the bride, made her own wedding dress, then made a den to get 'lost' with Stuart under the table :love: Then there was all the jealousy in the chain gang task, ranging from bread baking to waiting outside the diary room until Stuart had come out :joker:

Michelle was also a star in the boot camp task, shouting Ahmed down about his laziness with her boobs out :love: and then throwing a flip flop at him the next day.

Michelle was an all round fantastic contestant, and I think the cherry on top is that she was never nasty or malicious, proving that you don't have to be argumentative or nasty to be a big character, and along with the remaining six housemates, is up there with my favourite housemates of all time.

Her surviving this long seems to have caused a bit of debate and disagreement within the thread, but for me Lea s pretty much my ideal housemate, or one of my favourite archetypes (train-wreck with no filter) done to perfection. Aswell as this, she's an ex porn star with the biggest boobs in Britain. I mean what kind of self respecting gay wouldn't be instantly drawn to Lea? Despite starting off seeming like a shallow wannabee, there were many sides to Lea, a lot of talk is made of Aisleyne's complexity, but I found Lea just as much so, and made more compelling by the fact, with Lea, unlike Aisleyne and some others, there was no doubt in my mind it was real. Lea was apologetically herself from the moment she entered to the moment she left the house demanding the producers let her out by calling them "*****", Lea bared herself to us all in the summer of 2006 (or, to most reading here, on a laptop screen sometime in the 2010s). Lea is such a mind **** who changed her personality and opinions daily it's hard to know what to say, but I'll go by her two prominent sides.

Sexual mother figure of the house - I think this is what Lea came in to the house hoping to be seen as, and she was this to an extent, but she was kind of like a messed up twisted version. Lea was massively sexual - she was probably the crudest housemate ever with the way she spoke, and I mean this is a show that has housed the likes of Makosi and Kinga, so that's not an easy accolade. She was constantly talking about, or referring to sex, cock, clunge, etc. My favourite line of her being "They think they'll get prince charming but all they get is a cold-saw and clap down below." :love: I mean she ****ing deepthroated a carrot ffs. ALSO remember that time her and Aisleyne went into the DR and Lea just came out with "CAN WE HAVE SOME COCK PLEASE? :)" #me. Lea's mothering was more smothering in the sense that she really was too much at times, but do I believe she genuinely cared about a lot of the housemates? Yes, unquestionably. The main thing Lea is remembered for is her story with Pete, but this brings us more to her other side.

Paranoid wreck - This is what Lea mainly was during her stay in the house. I genuinely can't think of anyone as paranoid as her, yes you have people like Kemal, but that was after months of Makosi ****ing his head. Lea literally came into the house protesting about how the crowd booed her before she even said hello to her housemates. She cried because a primary school girl said they didn't like her. When her name was announced as a nominee in week two, she was so sure she was going, there was pretty much no question in her mind that she would go - it was nice then to see her survive the vote, but of course, Lea being Lea, she went on and on about how this means she was accepted for having blonde hair and big tits - as if that's all people could dislike her for. I kind of relate in some ways to Lea's attitude in the house and thus I sympathised with her, because though I would never do Big Brother, I know if I did I would be a crumbling mess the whole time. Moving onto the Pete situation, whilst it never reached Craig and Anthony levels, she really did smother him. She was insanely paranoid and turned pon people - most famously Aisleyne - but also, in more subtle ways, Nikki and Lisa too. She would harass Pete about how he had changed if she saw him simply hang out with the other girls. It was pretty disturbing ****, but it was never not compelling to watch for me.

I get why people dislike Lea - she's a paranoid, crude woman with a huge temper, but for me she's about as real and fascinating as a housemate we've ever had.

Nikki is rightfully quite divisive to the Big Brother fandom, and that's GOOD, she was ignorant and incredibly bitchy at times, but do you know what, I don't really care. To me Miss Grahame is TV gold and I have pretty much adored her since 2006 when I was only a casual viewer.

Someone who is hyped up as much as Nikki could easily let me down, but when I watched properly in 2012, she lived up to expectations. Nikki is a true eccentric, she's so off the wall and out there it's hard to think she's a real human being, she changes her mood and opinions daily. People who she apparently "cannot even look at"(Susie), the next day she now "LIKES her". And that's the beauty of Nikki, she's such an unpredictable, unique, once in a lifetime character for any reality show to grab, and so the Big Brother producers got very lucky when Nikki turned up for those auditions in 2006.

Nikki is also a surprisingly complex character, she of course has the person history with anorexia, which is enough reason for me to explain most of her comments during BB7, that would come of as offensive if said in 2019. I do feel she really fell for Pete, and she envisioned this future with him, so it's sad that Pete (imo) was only using her to keep the public happy.

Nikki was far and away the funniest female housemate ever, I do genuinely think she's funnier than a lot of sitcom characters lmao. So it would be wrong of me to see out a writeup on Nikki without posting her famous tantrums

She was fantastic the first time all the way up until her eviction. It was when she returned that I couldn't stand her. She felt so contrived with all her rants and attention seeking ways. Even the public were sick of her.

It's a good thread, I always like threads like these as they spark discussion.

However for me personally I'd put Science and Victor as number 1 & 2, Michelle Bass and Ahmed also needed to beat Lea and Nikki imo as Nikki controversially made me quit BB7 along with Aisleyne as their dynamic annoyed the **** outta me personally. And I just never felt comfortable with someone that clearly had health problems being used for laughs on the show.

I do agree with Richard being low down on your list, a horrible personality with no real redeeming qualities imo, obviously I'm assuming that he is very different outside the house, but he came off like a real nasty piece of work inside the house and most of the time he wasn't even funny with his horrible comments like Ahmed could be in BB5 imo.

Kemal. I really don't know where to start with him (which might partly explain why it took me like seven months to finish this....sorry huns) but yeah he's an incredible housemate. It's becoming more of a common opinion to say that he didn't contribute much to the show until the later stages...but no. He was fantastic from the moment he entered the house in that red sari to the moment he left in the green one. He was complex, and provided comedy , drama, intelligence and wit in absolute bucket loads.

I think the main thing I like about Kemal is how funny he is, especially in his nominations, ranging from labelling Saskia a "COMMON TRAMP" and Maxell "a waste of SPACE and a VILE PIG" :love: Infact, let me post his nominations, because he is by far the best nominator in the show's history

I think the main thing with Kemal is his obsession with Makosi being a mole, which OK I get it could be tiring, but it was pretty much her fault? She told him stuff like there are certain ways she could leave, that she didn't have an eviction dress, that BB didn't broadcast her diary room sessions, I mean, no wonder the guy's head was mashed :love: So for me it made a compelling storyline centred around my two favourite housemates ever, and I adored every single bit of it.

I also think it revealed a lot about Kemal's psyche, which was obviously incredibly paranoid. Moments like him breaking down in tears and not getting up because he thought he had "killed(?) Makosi" and going into the DR to reveal he doesn't think he has anyone outside was actually quite sad and revealing in many ways, for all the front he had, he was clearly uncomfortable in his own skin and wasn't REALLY happy with how he had entered Big Brother and what he had done. I think Kemal's personality is easily the most complex and layered of the BB6 cast...and maybe the entire golden era.

The best thing about Kemal though, is OF COURSE, his argument with Saskia and Maxwell. Dragging them for wanting a magazine deal was good enough but then coming out with what is easily the best line in BBUK history "At least someone got wet tonight...and it wasn't Saskia" :love: :love: :love: :love:
