don't even know why they brought Havertz he doesn't even fit into their style at all
Look at West Ham, only 4 points of second place.
Good manager that Moysey, isn't he?
Do you Hammers dare to dream?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk ProI was surprised to know that an iconic, well supported club like West Ham United have never been league champions. The highest they've finished is 3rd (once in the mid 1980s)
Their supporters deserve better, there isn't too many better sights in football than seeing those Hammers fans in full voice singing "I'm forever blowing bubbles"

True enough .. plus the bubbles of course .
Still think Liverpool’s anthem wins hands down though
Who’s the most talented West Ham player you’ve seen ?
De Canio , Joe Cole ... ?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk ProThe likes of Bobby Moore, Geoff Hurst and Trevor Brooking were before my time, but they had a good player called Alan Devonshire in the 80s (LT will back me up on that)
But yeah, the likes of Lampard, Cole and Ferdinand's careers where more defined at other clubs so Di Canio is maybe right.
I thought Carlos Tevez was a great player, but he was only there for a short while.

Di Canio our best player in my lifetime for sure. Since him I really think only Tevez and Payet have come close to producing that level of ability and excitement but both were only one season wonders for us
After last season I think realistically top half would be a good result, be absolutely delighted if we could be in the mix for Europe

Another Liverpool/United snoozefest
Another Liverpool/United snoozefest
How can Liverpool lose two fabulous CBs replace them with midfielders and look rock solid yet then have two normally fantastic fullbacks who couldn’t manage one decent cross between them .. two fabulous strikers who didn’t manage a shot on goal plus a player in Firmino who normally links all the play up yet can’t find a teammate with a pass ??!?
Crazy
I reckon Man City are convinced the league is theirs for the taking

If our owners stop being tight bastards and buy a CB then we ill salvage it and Klopp needs to drop Firmino for Minamino and we badly miss Jota
Can't wait for Everton to play Manchester City to put them in their place, although they'll probably bottle out and cry off with Covid, again. They fear us.

That same Sheffield who beat Newcastle less than 2 weeks ago?
-----
Newcastle has not scored in their last 3 matches and have only scored 2 goals in their last 7. Their last 5 record is 0 wins, 1 draw and 4 losses. Their last away game win was on November 27th. Their current away record this season is 2 wins, 2 ties and 6 losses.
Last time they scored more than 1 goal was an away game against Leeds on December 16th in which they lost 5-2.
At the moment they are only 7 points away from the relegation zone and Fulham and West Bromwich (and even Sheffield to an extent) are improving somewhat (not much, but could be enough) and are gaining ground, while Newcastle continues to wane. They need to start improving and fast, otherwise they might find themselves relegated.
This Tuesday's match against Leeds is a good opportunity to show it.
Brighton is another team who need to start improving, which they might do as they beat Leeds away 1-0 on January 16th and seem more competitive in matches according to results than Newcastle, West Bromwich, Fulham and Sheffield at the moment.
They just need to turn their draw games to wins. (8 ties currently, most in the league atm)
Calderyon
25-01-2021, 06:35 PM
Newcastle is getting Allan Saint-Maxim and Ryan Fraser back in the lineup against Leeds. That will certainly help them.

West Brom :laugh3: well i called it, a mistake for Big Sam to go into that sinking ship
i can see the ones relegating be
Sheffield United, West Brom for sure and last one i'd say Fulham (i don't find them a good team either)
and for some reason i can see Brighton delivering a fatal blow tonight at Fulham a bottom regions head to head (then things are starting to get difficult for Fulham since we know they got one extra match, but one against a way higher ranked team so unlikely to get points there)
Newcastle just needs a win somewhere, or a few draws to stay above fulham
can see Burnley also not being entirely safe, if Newcastle ups their game again
teams like Wolves, Leeds, Palace are as good as safe just needing a few more points especially against those ranked lower than they are
Villa away are tearing Burnley apart and should be two or three up ..

Villa’s Barkley is working himself back into the England squad I feel ..
He looks to have turned the clock back a few years
Southgate was there watching...
Thankfully he saw both players overshadow one of his blue-eyed boys ( Ward-Prowse)

Son and Ings have both had goals absurdly disallowed over the last few days.
Seriously how can a body part be offside?
I'd even say the same if Villa has a perfectly good goal disallowed because of a body part being offside.

Shame there wasn't this sort of anger when Liverpool were getting goals ruled out for an armpit apparently being offside
Anyone notice Maguire doing a ‘Harry Kane’ and backing into Alexandre Lacazette whilst he was still in the air (he jumped slightly earlier than Maguire)
They need to ban this practice as someone is going to get really badly injured.. haven’t they banned a similar move in rugby union due to the injuries ?
I’d also like the latest professional foul of ‘accidentally’ stamping on feet when ‘pretending’ to go for the ball ... stamped out .
I heard Martin Keown say the phrase ‘he’s just been stamped on’ about 5 or 6 times and I saw at least three other incidents.
So Newcastle players did it 8 or more times yesterday and don’t recall seeing more than one ‘stamp’ in most games ...
Who’s the new guy calling the hits shots at Newcastle ?? Has he got a history of ‘tough-tackling’ tactics I wonder ??
Edit
I found this online ...
::::
“ Those of us looking for clues as to what he might bring to Newcastle will notice the way he talks about turning around a group of players at Swansea who were not playing to their potential. He talks about the importance of “standards”, of fairness and honesty, that players “have to be led until they’ve earned the right to be trusted”.
::::
Using an apparent strategy of ‘deliberately stamping doesn’t seem that ‘fair or honest’ !?!?

Apparently Leno’s sending off was only the SECOND time a keeper has been sent off in Premier League history !!!??
The other one was another Arsenal keeper- David Seaman in 1993 !!
I’m shocked.. I thought there’d been loads of goalies sent off

I think that a lot of the other ones have been sent off in cup competitions.
For example I think that Tomasz Kuszczak got sent off for Man Utd against Portsmouth in one of the FA Cups.
i think that addition to the Man U goal difference could be very important at the end of the season
