The character has literally been given nothing to do for years. Her only notable storyline being a survivor of domestic abuse, for her to then be murdered by a wife beater in a dumb plot and wrapped up like a Christmas present is..... appalling. :umm2:

The articles will be her pushy mother trying to get her in a good position for the next contract negotiation and a good salary. Shona McGarty used the same tactics.

I think they'll either show us Gray killing him for 'taking Whitney away' and then have the Mitchell's and Shirley as suspects or do a whodunnit and not show us but yeah Gray is an active killer on the show it'll all come out.
Ben should be a suspect too, he killed Heather so he's very capable although they try and make us forget.
Wizard.
19-04-2021, 07:32 PM
Ugh I can’t stand Gray, how come anyone who catches on to him being psychotic gets killed. You’re telling me that tube station was empty with no CCTV and Arthur was in the toilet for half an hour?
Watch some bull**** story that Kush randomly changed his mind last minute and committed suicide that everyone will somehow believe.
I think it will be the Mitchell’s that will be Gray’s downfall like he tries to kill Shirley next.
Gray is just more annoying that anything, the writers have no clue when they have a killer who just so happens that everything goes his way.
Wizard.
19-04-2021, 07:35 PM
Look at Twitter everyone’s saying it’s the dumbest storyline, and that a good twist would’ve been to have Gray actually be killed because Kush was predictable.
They’ve clearly ruined the domestic abuse storyline at this point for what I think is because the producers like Toby Alexander Smith for some God known reason because he won’t be winning an Oscar anytime soon.

Marsh.
17-09-2021, 02:27 AM
She's not been a "settled down mother" for years now.
She almost killed Phil for maternity 1, became a thief and then had a feud with Ruby that resulted in Ruby's fertility issues for maternity 2.
This, and I have a feeling it will all be a bit sensationalist/tasteless. I wouldn’t put it past them doing a cover up or framing story tbh.
You can gaze into the future (future, future)
You might think life would be a breeze (life is tough)

And if the future looks gray now

Since the new producers work has been on screen coupled with the move tk the new set the quality has vastly improved and they have got rid if alot of the deadwood characters although Keegan will be a big miss but the actor has a big career ahead of him

Yeah noticed a lot of character led stuff atm which is great to see. I suspect the Taylors are all on their way out once the Bernie surrogacy plot is wrapped up and contracts are saw through.

I also expect Eve to be gone before the year is out as the actress doesn't like staying around and I think the Carter's will slowly disappear as they won't be as powerful a unit without Mick and there are rumours that Jean's time on the show is coming to an end but I wouldn't be surprised to see a return for Grant and maybe Courtney and we are bound to have a fair few new characters with a lot more houses on set now

The show is starting to get better now, a new family is finally on the square but I wish they had no links, Alfie and Freddie should cause frictions with the Slaters with Big Mo back soon and Little Mo potentially returning and I'm glad the Slaters have moved back home.
Then you got Mick leaving, Lola dying, Sam and Phil potentially getting into a big showdown which I'm certain will see Grant back.

I can’t wait for Mick to leave. Other than his first six months (when the Carters as a whole were more watchable) I don’t think I’ve ever really liked him.
I agree the quality’s upping a bit but that’s not saying much considering how poor the past couple of years have been (and it was bad for quite a long time before then as well). I’m probably most-interested in the Slater revitalisation and Kim’s Sam continuing to grow into the role again. I’d love for Denise to have a good story again (it has only been about 12 years) but they don’t seem to have any decent plans for her so I wouldn’t hold out hope. Sadly.

I wouldn’t mind Ben disappearing with Callum at this point. I don’t like either of them, not as a couple and not as individual characters. On the subject of the former (the coupling) I’ve never understood why some people act like they’re the new Chryed (I don’t think the writers have ever even intended for them to be anything like that). The difference is Syed and Christian were actually decent characters for what they were and they featured at a time when more people gave a damn about the show. If Callum on the other hand left on Monday no-one would remember who he was by the weekend.
