Harry looks more comfortable in his uniform than William. William shines in his own clothes and when out meeting the public, he was in his element meeting the crowds in the queue today and did a fantastic job as always of showing the human side of the monarchy....but I feel he always looks uncomfortable in uniform...and I think Charles does too. I think from his service days for Harry, which were amongst his happiest, being in uniform is where he feels comfortable.

Harry served 10 years in Afghanistan . Why do you talk about him.....as if he's a 10 year old child going to fancy dress.

Harry had just as much right to wear uniform ,as his brother William.

I think it’s reference to harry becoming king
Harry walked away from the monarchy so it’s childish to make reference to harry becoming king the same way it’s childish to call Meghan a queen.

I too have that hope - for the sake of the Monarchy and peace for Charles, William and Kate. I hope H&M find a life that doesn't include continuing to try to disturb his father and brothers peace of mind. But many will not forgive and forget what the traitor and his money grabbing wife have done.
Tbh all Meghan cares about is getting more media attention. There's always another tiny detail she can make up for the next Tell-All, even though she's been living the Hollywood Life since Oprah.

Him and Andrew not allowed them but the only 2 to have seen real service...

I find that weird...and amusing.

It does feel a bit backward. I think the "reason" is that they're the only ones who aren't currently involved in the Forces in any capacity? Like, even Princess Anne has nominal commisioner titles, etc.

Even so, as you say they're the only ones to have seen real service. That should entitle Harry to wear his uniform 24/7 if that's what he wants. Heck, he was fricken knighted for his time in the army, surely that should mean something.

As crowds solemnly filed past the Queen's coffin in Westminster Hall this week, eagle-eyed viewers spotted two famous faces.

Wearing dark clothes and sombre expressions, presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby were seen at the lying-in-state in Parliament on Friday.

There was outrage from some who believed the hosts of ITV's This Morning programme had somehow managed to jump the queue on Friday, while others contrasted it with David Beckham queuing for hours.

This Morning said the pair were there just doing their job as broadcasters and were filming ahead for a piece to be aired after the funeral.

In a statement on Instagram, it said: "We asked Phillip and Holly to be part of a film for this Tuesday's programme."

"They did not jump the queue, have VIP access or file past the Queen lying in state - but instead were there in a professional capacity as part of the world's media to report on the event."

So what do we know about what happened when the presenters visited this week?

A parliamentary source told the BBC the pair had been given media accreditation to cover the Queen's lying-in-state as journalists.

Reporters and photographers can apply for accreditation for the lying-in-state through Parliament's media centre. This is not just for those political journalists who already hold parliamentary passes to work in Westminster.

A UK Parliament spokesperson confirmed that they have given media accreditation to journalists who have requested access to Westminster Hall "for the purpose of reporting on the event for the millions of people in the UK and globally who haven't been able to visit Westminster in person".

eBay is removing sales listings for wristbands for the queue to see the Queen lying-in-state in London.

Sellers were offering the paper coloured bands, which mark mourners' place in the queue as memorabilia.

The bands are marked as non-transferable and do not guarantee entry into Westminster Hall to file past the Queen's coffin.

A spokesperson for the auction website said: "These items are against our policies and we are removing them."

A few of the wristbands remained on the site under the header "new listing" on Sunday morning but did not link to an active auction or buy-it-now page.

Some used wristbands were attracting bids of up to £70,000 before they were removed, the Guardian has reported. However, it is not known whether the bids were genuine.

eBay allows tickets to past events such as concerts or sports fixtures to be sold as memorabilia. However its policy states it may prohibit the sale of tickets to events that are free to the public.

Its policy also says tickets for yet-to-take place events such as concerts, festivals, sports or theatre cannot be listed on the site.

Just this second seen on the news a woman interviewed in the queue " my daughter is due to give birth today and im her birthing partner, but i had to come down, if she gives birth then the Queen beat her, the Queen deserves that"

This is all so messed up.

A man who tried to grab the flag draped over the Queen's coffin as she laid in state did not believe she was dead, a court has heard.

The prosecution claims Muhammad Khan wanted to look in the coffin to "check for himself" the Queen was there.

Mr Khan, 28, also allegedly planned go to royal residences to "try to make contact" with the monarch.

He was granted bail on condition he remains in a mental health hospital until his next court hearing.

Doctors assessed Mr Khan as not fit to take part in proceedings at Westminster Magistrates' Court, where he appeared charged with two offences under the Public Order Act.

The court heard he was suffering from delusions and the judge told him: "At the time when you were in Westminster you didn't accept that the Queen was dead and that was the reason you were moving towards the coffin to satisfy yourself that she was."

He added: "He is delusional still and thinks the Queen is not dead, thinks King Charles has something to do with it and may go to Windsor Castle to pay his respects, but also because he still thinks she is alive."

Prosecution lawyer Luke Staton, told the court Mr Khan had reached Westminster Hall when he was seen by officers to approach the coffin.

"He stepped off the carpet in the direction of the catafalque, then grabbed hold of the Royal Standard flag draped over the coffin with both of his hands," Mr Staton said.

The court heard Mr Khan was quickly detained, arrested and interviewed by police.

"The defendant did express the idea that the Queen is not dead and that he approached the coffin because he wanted to check for himself," said Mr Staton.

"He did say, prior to the state funeral, he was planning on going to the funeral.

"He planned to write to the Royal Family and if they did not reply he planned to go to Windsor Castle, Buckingham Palace and Balmoral to try to speak to the Queen."

The court heard Mr Khan said if he was unsuccessful that he "would have to trespass in order to try and make contact", and when asked how many times he would try, replied: "As long as I'm living."

Mr Khan was among about 250,000 people who filed through the hall between 17:00 Wednesday and early on Monday morning to pay their respects.

Yep, this is the book......

Courtiers: The Hidden Power Behind the Crown by Valentine Low.
Released date 6th Oct 2022

The inside story of the Palace power struggles from the Royal correspondent who revealed the bullying allegations.

The gripping account of how the Royal family really operates from the man who has spent years studying them in his role as Royal correspondent for The Times. Valentine Low asks the important questions: who really runs the show and, as Charles III begins his reign, what will happen next?

Courtiers reveals an ever-changing system of complex characters, shifting values and ideas over what the future of the institution should be. This is the story of how the monarchy really works, at a pivotal moment in its history.
----------
Regarding Meghan Markle, insiders claim Meghan 'moaned she wasn't getting PAID for royal tours, agreed to Oprah interview SIX months before Megxit and reduced staff to tears with bullying and tantrums'.

New coins featuring the portrait of King Charles have been revealed, with a 50p carrying his image entering general circulation within weeks.

BBC News was given a first glimpse of the 50p and a commemorative £5 Crown which include an image of the King by British sculptor Martin Jennings.

The coins follow centuries of tradition with the monarch now facing left - the opposite way to his predecessor.

As with previous British kings, and unlike the Queen, he wears no crown.

King Charles personally approved the effigy, and was understood to be pleased with the likeness.

The coins will be sold to collectors by The Royal Mint from early next week. The 50p coin will be available for general use well before the end of the year, distributed according to demand by banks, building societies and post offices.

They will co-circulate with coins featuring the late Queen, so those 27 billion coins will still be accepted in shops.

When people always ask that classically inane question of what celebrity (living or dead) would you love to meet, and if, like me, you're crass enough to call the monarch a celebrity (at least for the sole purpose of responding to this question), I would answer with the late Queen. The amount of dignitaries, thought leaders, and generally influential people she met throughout her long reign, she must have had such an incredible amount of wisdom to impart.

That any great grandmother would not be proud to have a great granddaughter named after her, either with other name or pet name.

Utterly ridiculous.

Yes was going to say the same thing. I couldn't imagine it

There was no comment at all originally from the Queen about them calling their child Lilibet. The media, including the BBC, speculated about whether the Queen would approve or not and Harry jumped in and threatened legal action against anyone who would suggest that the Queen hadn’t given them her blessing. He then applied to the palace to support his narrative, which they refused to do because it wasn’t true.
Harry and Meghan had made up their own ‘truth’ as usual, and no more was heard of legal actions.
Whether the Queen cared or not that the baby was to be called Lilibet isn’t known, what is known is that she wasn’t going to agree to sentiments that she had never said. After enduring all the lies that they had recently told on Oprah, I wouldn’t be surprised if she was at the end of her tether with the pair of them by that stage.

While I can accept now completely that the Queen was rightly cheesed off with the Sussexes.
I'll never be able to see or think of the late Queen as being spiteful in any shape or form as to a new born baby.
Any new born baby never mind her own great Granddaughter.
Certainly never over a name or pet name either.

I cannot see that being in the Queen's nature whatsoever.
I think this is a personal attention seeker's nonsense and a then media whipping up of it.

That I find disrespectful to the late Queen when she is not now here to set the record straight.

of all the hassle that the queen had to endure, i think what harry called his child was the least of it. I don't put much weight on the words of some aide that wants to make a few bucks selling a book

Robert Hardman, the author, wasn't/isn't an aide.

Robert Hardman is an internationally renowned writer and broadcaster, specializing in royalty and history for more than twenty five years.
He has previously written the acclaimed books Monarchy: The Royal Family at Work, Our Queen and Queen of the World, along with the BBC and ITV television documentaries of the same name. Among other television credits, he wrote and presented the BBC Two documentary George III – The Genius of the Mad King and wrote the BBC series, The Queen’s Castle. Hardman interviewed the Prince of Wales for the BBC’s Charles at 60, the Duke of Edinburgh for the BBC’s The Duke: In His Own Words and the Princess Royal for ITV’s Anne: The Princess Royal at 70.

I think if M&H had called their daughter Elizabeth, no one would have found that out of the ordinary. But Lilibet was the queen's nickname as a child, a very personal thing to her and I always found it quite a cynical choice.

The outrage over what parents call their own child reeks of entitlement. The same can be said for when Archie was born and the new parents quite rightly refused to parade the child for all to see. It’s disturbing.

I really doubt she took offence or even cared that much. I think the narrative she wasn't pleased is coming from her refusing to back up Harry's claims that he saught her blessing for the name when he hadn't.

Additionally, H&M had privately trademarked the name Lilibet even before she was born for monetary purposes - before the Queen even learned of their intention to call her Lilibet.
What a way for the Sussexes to welcome their baby daughter into the world, with a web of lies and dodgy motives.

Her being upset privately is not "mean and spiteful" or anything like that. She's entitled to her feelings, whatever they were, in life and in death. Whether it is true or not, she didn't make her own association with it a public matter and that should be the bigger consideration. Why does anyone feel the need to trumpet their associations with anything royal or celebrity? It only impacts Lilibet negatively in the end. Perhaps they could've kept the usage of that name privately, but they wanted the association to be very public clearly. It's especially difficult for the girls as the media tends to become obsessed with the female family members as they grow up, so I can only think this was a very bad judgement call on their behalf if they wanted them to grow up away from "that life"...

I think I should have used the term ‘trademarked’ not 'copyrighted’, though I don’t really understand the difference.

Should You Trademark Your Baby's Name?

Parents have a right to trademark their minor children's names, according to U.S. law, but the name has to be both distinctive and connected to some expectation of commercial enterprise.

They can't. The Royal Institution forbids the monetization of their family minors for commercial purposes.

Although the stupid media clearly do.

I say again too Lillibet is NOT just a pet name for the late Queen.
An Elizabeth in my family got called Lillibet from aged 2 onwards.
Born in 1919.

Long before the late Queen was even born.

I wonder what quantity of those given the name Elizabeth over the centuries had the same pet term.

Weren’t people recently slagging off Harry because he openly talked about the day Lizzie died? Why are people now salivating at the thought of a book which capitalises on her death and final weeks by some money hungry aide?

I posted what was widely reported at the time, and as those reports were never denied or legal action taken by the very litigious Sussexes it is my opinion that they were likely to be true. I am not insisting that anyone have the same belief.

FYI you do not need an attorney to file an application for a trademark with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

I don’t see anyone salivating over the book, just discussing it…
A simple google taking a few seconds would have shown that the book was not written by a ‘money hungry aide’ which some keep insisting it was.

There wasn't any prominent listing of anyone that I saw here, but admittedly I'm a very light news watcher now, especially US news as so much is scripted filler. So my scope is at a minimum on purpose  Most of what I saw that had good details came from independent content creators and some social media.

Andrew was the only one who seemed to receive a prominent media blitz surrounding his listing as far as I could tell. Our news is so micromanaged at the industry-level that it's next to impossible to believe we'll ever see a situation anytime where Hollywood calls itself out en masse.

I would not be surprised to learn Hollywood is one of the most corrupt places on Earth. H&M's desire to deal with it at all would be a serious indictment for some as so it's become increasingly common see it as a land for degenerates and opportunists. Years of being bombarded with reality TV has had a deleterious effect on its influence as more see through so much of the pomp ... not quite the classy culture we used to enjoy peering at in the magazines. Now it's become quite vulgar.

The royals are a standout compared to all that.
