Nah, Liverpool aren't ready for his leaving yet imo. Sunday was a good example. He played well first half, a great assist, hit the bar, and had a goal disallowed after being centimetres offside. He didn't perform in the 2nd half, neither did Liverpool.

Henderson never said he wouldn't leave and it was expected he would go to Sunderland if they made it back up.
Alisson has a very young family and they are all settled and after everything that he has been through, making sure his family is happy will overcome crazy wages just to unsettle his children

when you are playing that number of games at the highest level, they need rotation. Also, they are not getting any younger. Playing 2 games a week in your 30's is not the same as playing 2 games a week in your early 20's

Looking online overnight .. he looks an ideal defensive utility player !
The general consensus is that you will still buy a big name holding midfielder and this guy ( aged 30) is a safety net purchase.
Defence minded but can go forwards with the ball and has a decent shot on him
He’s been the team captain for a while ..
Apparently he plays defensive midfielder or CB
I saw some stat where he went into 476 tackles in a season which is crazy !

i personally want PSV to not give up on getting Aster Vranckx as Sangare replacement
keep Bakayoko
and for central defender, give up on Debast if Anderlecht only wants him to leave for high price
i'd say 39 yr old Makoto Hasebe would be a nice one, Gotze can put in a good word for PSV how much of a good time he had here in eindhoven, and Hasebe would add so much experience, strength in that defence also a good one for Sambo, Van Aanholt to learn from

Manchester City’s move to sign Lucas Paqueta from West Ham United is now totally off.
An £80m deal had been agreed in principle last week before West Ham were informed on Wednesday that the player was the subject of an FA investigation into alleged betting breaches.
There was a very small chance on Friday morning that the transfer could still go ahead but there is now no prospect of that happening.
City have just signed some bloke, Doku, from Rennes. Never heard of him tbh. £55m
he is the replacement for Mahrez i think. Now apparently, it looks like palmer will be sold off. There must be something not right there for Pep to be getting rid of him
Why is Paqueta being investigated for betting scandal?
The investigation started when a larger-than-usual number of bets were placed in Brazil on Lucas Paqueta receiving a yellow card in West Ham’s home game against Aston Villa on 12 March 2023.
Paqueta was shown a yellow card by referee Chris Kavanagh in the 70th minute of the 1-1 draw for a challenge on John McGinn.
The bets were reported to the International Betting Integrity Association who alerted FIFA and the FA.

Benzema anyone ?
[emoji599] Nuno Espírito Santo has reportedly informed the Al-Ittihad board that Karim Benzema does not fit into his tactical style. [emoji102]
He wasn't keen on signing the Ballon d'Or winner in the first place, which is leading to tension between the two men.
The Portuguese manager also rejected Benzema's request for the captain's armband. [emoji2399][emoji777]
Therefore, the Frenchman is 'not comfortable' working in the current environment at the Saudi club, perhaps opening the door to a shock transfer.

Of course money played a big factor, but when doesn't it? If you had 2 job offers and 1 paid almost double the other, where would you go? Also, factor in that West London/Surrey are very expensive places to live, so wages will always be higher.
And, maybe they didn't wanna move up north after being down south?
In Caicedo's life time, who has been the more successful team?
I dunno why people are getting so arsey about Caicedo going to Chelsea over Liverpool? Chelsea had been chasing him a while, he was set on Chelsea. Liverpool made a last min bid.

It's not like Chelsea swooped in last minute for him either, the interest had been well known for months. Liverpool came in last min and tried snatch him. And you know what, that's fine, Chelsea have done it in the past, so im not blaming Liverpool. But you get all arsey about him moving to Chelsea when he made it clear he wanted to join Chelsea, before Liverpool put the bid in.
Lavia is a strange one, it's a different story, and i do agree he would have been better off going to Liverpool for more games. But again, money is a big factor.

I don't understand why you go on about the glazers and money all the time. Until last season, no one in world football had spent as much on transfers as united (since Fergie left in 2013), and ETH already has a net spend larger than Klopps entire Liverpool career. Just doesn't make sense why you would have these fears.

They sold Palmer to Chelsea for £57 million apparently today. !

there must be something about palmer that pepe doesn't like. He has always been subdued when referring to him
It's a deal for Palmer that could reach £45m. He's set for a medical in the coming days.

Fati and Benda won't be getting songs about them in the terraces :nono:
Manchester City have agreed a £53m deal to sign Wolves midfielder Matheus Nunes.
The deal - which is a club-record sale for Wolves - is higher than the £47m verbal agreement that was originally reached.
City will now pay more but with a different payment structure.
There are no add-ons, apart from a 10 per cent sell-on fee on any profit City make on Nunes.
With the paperwork now agreed and in the final stages, Nunes has been given permission to travel to Manchester to have a medical.

two loan signings for Fortuna Sittard
Ragnar Oratmangoen a forward from FC Groningen, whom we also have put an option to buy in that contract, he can play in multiple positions (left, right wing, no.10)
Iman Griffith from AZ, mainly experience from Jong AZ in de Keukenkampioendivisie, loaned out because of too much competition in the first team

but the impact on the team could mean that by then they are not challenging for anything and how much more costly would that be?

this isn't aimed at klopp though, it's aimed at the owners, who don't give a fig. That money more than compensates for a year out of the champions league which would be a max of 20-30m

Liverpool have rejected a £150m bid from Al Ittihad for Mo Salah.
The offer from the Saudi Pro League club was £100m up front and could have seen another £50m paid in add-ons.
The Athletic earlier reported the approach was made during an amicable call to Liverpool director Mike Gordonon Thursday night.

Very good signing
Mad that Dutch players are giving up on clubs in the champions league to go to relegation dogfight clubs in the English prem
As regards the Salah situation
Crazy thing is they are the ONE team who can afford to lose him as they have Elliott who can play that position adequately plus Nunez , Diaz , Gakpo and Jota all great options up front .. also they can hold out today but the Saudi window remains open for another 3 weeks … if Liverpool can wait for £200 million they can make a difference in the Jan window
Sky Keep reporting that the Saudis are getting ‘encouragement from someone on the Liverpool side ..

That's bollocks. Salah is the biggest star in the middle east. He won't be going anywhere this season, but they could probably get the same money for him next summer.

Mental take. Lose Salah and that is automatically 40 G/A instantly gone, and Harvey fcuking Elliot is a midfielder, doesn't have the pace or the goal threat to play wide right.
They'll be in a top half rather than a top 4 fight come January if they sell him now. The only wild card is FSG.

Mental. If they can afford to go up in £100m installments then how about £500m?
i think when they are over valuing a player by so much, then it can't be described as anything but sport washing. The premier league is supposed to have rules in place to stop it happening

RB Leipzig have shown an interest to permanently sign Xavi Simons from PSG, he is a superstar according to coach Marco Rose
he and Dani Olmo truly are the dream duo up front
Xavi is making a far better impression than the Liverpool loaned portuguese Fabio Carvalho, whom mainly is used as a reserve player
Xavi has a contract at PSG until mid 2027 so he will definitely cost the Leipzig club a lot of money if they are really gonna sign him
