Worse I've seen Man U play since last week
my logic was that if TH could push on from the way the team played in the cup final then he could stay, but it was obvious in the first 3 games it was back to the crap of last season. I would have sacked him a couple of weeks ago.
I think they will get the next 2 games out of the way (Porto away, AV away) and then sack him

Bruno being sent off was ridiculous, I think they would have rallied had that not happened
they had been absolute crap for 40 mins prior to the red. I still think its a red because he tried to stop the player when the ball was out of sight, but it wasn't the reason united were bad.
TH plays a brand of football that exposes his players weaknesses, any other manager would tweak their system to take advantage of their strengths. Thats entirely down to TH. The stretford end emptied long before the final whistle. The fans have had enough

Ipswich Town defender Axel Tuanzebe is expected to be out for at least a month after sustaining a freak hand injury while doing the washing up.
The 26-year-old DR Congo international sustained a deep cut to his thumb while he was washing the dishes last week.
The former Manchester United and Aston Villa player had started the first six Premier League games of the season for promoted Ipswich before missing Saturday's 4-1 loss to West Ham.
People are sending back their Man U season tickets, entire sections of old trafford are empty and seats available for home games. People just don't want to watch Man U the way they used to

Chelsea aren't a dirty team, MC aside. Arsenal aren't either. Liverpool are mid (they were dirty today, don't care what you say) and Spurs are well know brutal. Only Newcastle are worse than Spurs.
Chelsea play better football than they did, stupid pen to give away, then naively switched off after the equaliser. Still a long way to go, but we're improving.

I would say chelsea were naive today, but they are certainly moving in the right direction and I enjoy watching them

MC aside though, Chelsea aren't a dirty side. They play attacking football
Bruno was sent off twice in the space of a week, never having been sent off before in his professional career. The definition of what dirty play is has changed. Players are booked and sent off for kicking the ball away. I prefer the 80's definition of a bad tackle .... it was when someone was stretchered off

I'm gonna say it cuz its been on my mind for a few games. Martinelli is showing he's a bit one dimensional. Cant cross with his left foot and when he's not on form belts the ball over the bar like he's Jonny Wilkinson. He, like Jesus, may be a player who we have to say isnt quite at the level needed.

have to say, i like Peps attitude in defeat. Premier League referee David Coote has been suspended after a video allegedly showing him making derogatory comments about Liverpool and the club's former manager Jurgen Klopp was circulated on social media.
Refereeing body PGMOL says the suspension comes into force with immediate effect and is pending a full investigation.
The video, widely shared on social media, has not been verified by the BBC. It is unclear when it was filmed or its authenticity.
Coote, 42, refereed Liverpool's 2-0 win against Aston Villa on Saturday. He is one of the Premier League’s most-experienced officials and has been refereeing matches in the top flight since 2018.
"Liverpool were [expletive]. [Expletive], absolute [expletive]. Aside from having a right pop at me when I reffed them against Burnley during lockdown, then he accused me of lying and then had a right [expletive] pop at me.
"I've got no interest in talking to someone who's just [expletive] arrogant. I do my best not to speak to him. Milner's alright.
"You can see me there with mask on, covid...social distancing. We're 10m apart. So yeah, my god. German [expletive], [expletive] me."

this is the last break until march i think, so we are getting to the meaty part of the season
Yeah that's something at least. I understand some people enjoy the international stuff, but i just find so incredibly boring.
i think with the fixture congestion from club football they need to rethink the nations league, which most people dont give a crap about. It is also leading to a lot more injuries

However how has he got a similar punishment to Osmajic for Preston, who bit a Blackburn player on his upper back?
I see great logic and morality coming from the Football world.:umm2:
I have no idea what happened or when ..
Seems strange of he made racist remarks about his friend and teammate !!!!??!
I’m sure it must be more complicated than that ..
Bentancur was apparently in tears when he apologised face to face with Son

I don't know what was exactly said either tbf, other than the fact that he said a slur during an interview on a Uruguyan TV Channel.
I just don't get how his offense is comparable in the eyes of the Football world, to someone that is being violent on the Football pitch?
If Osmajic is getting an 8 game ban, then Bentancur should be getting a 1 or 2 game ban.
And if Bentancur is going to get a 7 game ban, then Osmajic should at the very least be facing a 15 game ban, personally I would argue for longer.
Saying a racial slur should never be comparable to biting someone, what is Football coming to that they think that the two incidents are comparable?:umm2:
Bentancur was asked by a fan if he could have spurs shirt and he replied would he like Son's name on it, it's a bonus because it could be Son's brother, they all look the same :skull:

on paper this weekend got quite a few nice matches i think
Arsenal vs a very much in form Nottingham Forest (who would've thought that to be a 4th vs 5th place game tbh)
Fulham vs Wolves, i can really see there being a slight chance for the Wolves to win very crucial points
Villa has it easy vs Palace you'd normally say, Villa home are quite a force to be reckoned with, and Palace are utter *****
Ipswich vs Man United, it is not really ever the manager's fault honestly, new coach will take time to adjust to, i can see Ipswich stealing a point here tbf
Man City vs Spurs, City will deffo lose points few more times but not this weekend i feel, i also feel a Haaland Hattrick incoming (deffo see him aiming for some goalscorer records honestly this season)
Liverpool away against Southampton, even if away, i can see them walking over southampton with ease and still with quite some energy in the tank lol
my pre-match predictions
Chelsea should beat Leicester away as well

Cole Palmer and Joao Felix both fit and start
Love these two players
Also nice to see Nicolas Jackson doing so well as I said from the beginning that I saw a good player in him but just needed games and more confidence

Don’t like these games where one team
plays ( Chelsea) play in unfamiliar colours ( all white ) against a team playing in their usual colours ( all blue )

How can VAR miss that

city 2-0 down :joker:
Half time
 Still 2:0
If Spurs just concentrate and don’t get anyone sent off they should win ..
Rico Lewis is a defensive liability for City and England .. he has been involved in just about every conceded goal for City and England in the last couple of months
He makes TAA look like Baresi !!
This is him trotting back for Spurs’s first goal

They lost Rodri and found Rico Lewis
Plus Foden has played nearly 200 games for ManC and is still to make a tackle

Man City are such a bitchy team when things arent going well. Bernardo Silva challenge for the booking was just straight spiteful and just now DeBruyne Squares up to Sarr after blatantly fouling him.
Never thought I;'d ever say that of a Guardiola team.

The problem with Pep's City is they only know how to win, when they start losing they have no idea what to do. It's alright winning almost every game, every title season in season out, but it shows your character more when you're up against it, and are able to weather the storm. City's lack of grit and experience in this new era of theirs is really starting to show now.
Soooo pleased for Ange Postecoglou !!

How on earth did those Leicester players not get red carded today !!!?
At least 3 should have been red
Maybe two on Palmer and two on Felix

I've not seen it yet Zizu, i had a stupid function to attend. I'll watch the highlights later though. Happy for Jackson getting on the scoresheet again. Im happy to say it seems i've got it wrong about him. He's really improving. Has better players around him now too, which always helps.

Manchester City are the first reigning top-flight champions to lose five games in a row in all competitions since Chelsea in March 1956.

Who on gawd’s earth is this female pundit / expert !?!?
There must be a hundred better qualified, more familiar male ex players who can do a far better job and who would demand the respect earned from their top notch careers in the men’s game
In stark contrast the women’s games on telly are populated by just women - you rarely see a token guy giving an opinion
As usual the female pundits/commentators on the men’s games get absolutely slaughtered online -a typical example below

I can't see us fighting for the title this season tbh. The only thing in our favour is we're not really under any pressure, so we can play more relaxed football. The pressure is fully on Liverpool now, and Arsenal to a certain extent. Both will be desperate to capitalise on City's unthinkable run of bad form.
If Chelsea can get 3rd behind Liverpool and Arsenal, i'd consider that a very successful season for us.

It’s such a shame ManC will get an easy win tonight - home against Feyenoord as they will end that run of defeats and be nice and confident in time to play Liverpool at the weekend !
