Thanks for reminding us. I'd disagree. When a team loses one match in a calendar year thats hardly the wheel falling off. Anyway, it's looks like its been avenged today.

I think people are getting a bit carried away with Villa. Their league campaign will be affected by the Champions league. Arteta got to the 1/4s of the champions league and came 2nd on the last day of the season last year but people think Emery is a better manager. :conf: LEts see if Emery can go that far in the champions league and be nailed on top four and actually fighting for the title. I dont think he can.

but who am i to judge, i mean i managed to throw away a lead against Hearts in the ECL (as sampdoria) ultimately 4-4 draw, me qualifying as 2nd in the group instead of 1st, so i get a more difficult opponent in the knockout stage  also in 90+5 where we went from 3-4 lead to 4-4

Dan Burn = Donkey. Glad he scored the own goal. I dont rate him at all and I remember a game where he kicked Saka up and down the line all game but didntget booked

The Rice incident yesterday was more terrible refereeing. The ball wasnt stationary show dont get the argument that Rice was preventing a restart. That ref always does something crazy when he refs arsenal. I'm not so bothered cuz w dont get too many sending offs a season so I'm glad this is happening now and not in Marsh or April next year.

If the ref hadnt sent Rice off today we'[d be saying - Rice is a luck boy to get away with that - next talking point please. It would have been given a fraction of the air time that its being give but once again a ref has decided to influence the game with a crazy decision.

I really don't know where to start, it was so bad. The manager needs to develop a system that suits his playing squad, and he needs to pick players based on ability rather than favouritism. well normally you can't but Everton managed to pull that off lol

but who am i to judge, i mean i managed to throw away a lead against Hearts in the ECL (as sampdoria) ultimately 4-4 draw, me qualifying as 2nd in the group instead of 1st, so i get a more difficult opponent in the knockout stage  also in 90+5 where we went from 3-4 lead to 4-4

Tbf at least you only had a one goal lead.

Everton had a two goal lead with 10-15 minutes to go, those players should be ashamed of themselves.

Ten Hags position is untenable. He refuses to tweak his system, and the players dont have the ability to implement what he wants. The system is also easy for the opposition to break apart, so it's never going to work. The squad is now TH players, there are no excuses left. He has to go, and it's better if its sooner rather than later

The problem is its gonna take too long to get the squad be his squad and thats where Mr Levy comes in. Levy has backed the project thus far but I cant ever see him paying 80 million plus for a player. He's wants 4 or 5 players for that much.

Probably bias, but when Chelsea "brought the league" they just didn't feel as plastic and soulless a club like City do. Can't quite put my finger on it. AS for playing against ten is hard, you're forgetting that City are supposed to be the best in the Premier league and Europe.

Arsenal have had three of their most difficult away fixtures and this time next week we will still be in September. Nothing is ever decided in September. To come away with two wins and a draw, with ten men, is as admirable as any siege mentality you think Man City have.

To get a point against the treble winners from two years ago is a very good result. Particularly when you see the circumstances of the game

Do you think Arsenal would have taken a point with 11 men? I dont.

Two years ago after the 4-1 so many were saying

"Arsenal are too open"

"Arsenal make too many mistakes."

"Arsenal dont have a plan B" " You cant win the league like that"

All thats changed is we are now much better defensively and a genuine threat from set pieces those same people are saying "Arsenal are too boring and need to go for it more". Almost all those players who were too open are still there. The improvement of the squad is visible for all to see.#

I disagree that Arsenal think they are way off City. I dont think so but City are very difficult to beat. You need 90 points to beat them. What I like is that Arsenal are happy to pull the plug in games like this and not keep attacking and lose 4-1 like we did two years ago
