Hujisen now looking like he's off to Madrid, unfortunately. LFC supposed to be looking at Hato from Ajax, and Guehi from Palace.
Guehi isn’t good enough for Liverpool
I haven’t seen him play one game without one huge gaffe
quote of the week ... "Hojlund looked like a work experience kid that needed a sh it!" :joker:

Interesting that all the top premier league teams agreed to pay his buy-out clause but as soon as Real Madrid approached him he chose them
That’s two world class purchases now they are in for Florian Wirtz

Was always going to RM if they came in for him. Certainly helps their transfer budget when you get players like Mbappe and the rat, for free.

Crystal Palace in europa league, i hope they're gonna play against the dutch side Go Ahead Eagles then, two of the teams you'd not expect to be in the league stage of european football

Well TAA is a nice enough guy..he’s joining a team of egos though ..
That said I will watch every game just to see TAA and his passing !!
He will be in his element over there
They don’t really do much defending so he will get loads of chances to send those glorious long balls up to their front 4
playing for RM is a totally different thing to playing for any other team in europe
playing for RM is a totally different thing to playing for any other team in europe
As illustrated in their last game
They needed a win to stay in the league title race so the ref found an extra 7 minutes and blew the final whistle before the ball had stopped moving in their opponent’s net for the winner

Utd have reportedly put the whole squad up for sale  Missing out on a Champions League spot next year, or any European football has cost the club £100 million. They can sell the lot for me, bar Amad, Mainoo and Heaven and bring in some fresh young talent and re-build the club from the bottom up.

Liverpool constantly get their business done early, its such brilliant, simple but effective strategy
the thing that makes life interesting is that bringing in new players only works out well about 20% of the time if they are lucky
Liverpool constantly get their business done early, its such brilliant, simple but effective strategy
Some Liverpool writers are suggesting they are confident of signing Isak as well !!
This isn’t exactly a no from Newcastle
Howe just said
" Alex has got three years left on his deal , of course, all contract situations are discussed and are talked about- But they are more delicately poised than people would naturally think from the outside. There is never one straight answer. Alex is under contract, we love him to bits, and we want him to stay and keep enjoying his football like he has done. We want him to keep scoring goals for Newcastle for many years. That's my plan."

it depends on how newcastle paid for him. If there is still a fair amount still outstanding then it makes their asking price higher so that they don't register a loss. If they register a loss then it affects PSR and their ability to buy other players.
Thats why transfers are complicated if the team is in european competition

Talksport: Bruno to STAY at Man U as he rejects move to Saudi
Bar steward !
I was hoping ManU would have a fresh start because that’s certainly what they need .
The £100 million transfer fee would have brought in another two or three good players and released his £330,000 a week salary
Crazy times when a prem footballer can afford to turn down a £65 MILLION a year deal

Sancho update, he's not staying with Chelsea, they couldn't agree personal terms, he wanted Chelsea to at least match the £300k a week he's getting at Utd, Chelsea showed him the door.

I'm sort of pleased Bruno is one that's likely staying.
However it's looking like a very unsettled and rocky season to come this next season to come too for Man Utd.
That's sad in my view.
Somehow despite being good ones the last 2 managers just don't seem able to turn things around at all.

With his huge ego gone plus £100 million transfer fee plus his £300,000 weekly wage off the bill United could have completely revamped the squad ..
Apparently the majority of United fans are disappointed that he’s staying

Bruno will be fine if he is given a role with very strict parameters at united. His main problem is that when things are not going well, he goes into headless chicken mode and tries to do everything at every position on the pitch and fails miserably where he should remain disciplined and concentrate on getting the basics right
united will just run down Sancho's contract i think, putting him out on loan when they can to try and recoup some of his wages. Similar to Rashford

Also, by most definitions, Bruno is very wealthy already, he has had 10 years of earning millions a year. Much more than he would earn in a couple of years in Saudi.

Chelsea are already more watchable just with Delap playing up front !

i think we will need a few weeks of the new season to see how the new lineups gel as teams. Getting better players doesn't necessarily mean the team is better over all. Look at PSG etc from the past. Also, its a law of diminishing returns, once you have a good team, it may cost a huge amount of money to make it a small step forward
