I also don't like Rory as he 'framed' Dixie, and he also said on the latest Daily Show that a cockroach they found in the garden should be put in her locker saying it would make her 'crack' which I think is really unfair. No I don't find whining and moaning housemates entertaining at all. I think those are my worst type of housemates, they just bring all the other housemates down and the viewers down.

This article is an interesting read - in spoiler tags as it contains spoilers relating to FNL:

So the three people voted into the house by Australia moved in on Sunday - and both housemates and the viewers were informed they were entering as “housemates”, not “intruders” or even “gatecrashers” - but 100% genuine housemates.

And then their existence is virtually edited out of the daily show, two are booted out on Wednesday and now we get to FNL, where all “housemates” are allowed to compete as equal, with Nathan winning.

Or not - Big Brother decided he is ineligible for the prize that comes with his role as “HoH”, and instead hands the prize down to second placed Travis. And I’m sure they’d have done the same with Terri too - not!

Travis now has the power to discuss nominations and evictions with other housemates in the “strategy room” - but the length of those discussions with individual housemates is at the discretion of Big Brother, meaning BB could give certain HMs far longer to plead their case than others, less favoured, housemates.

He also has the power, won by Nathan but taken away by BB, to award “double points” in Sundays eviction votes, meaning Travis will award 4 and 2 points to his least favourite nominees.

The rules for “HoH” (thanks to Will):

- Only two HMs to be in the SR at any time
- HMs are only permitted to enter SR when the sign outside is lit up.
- HMs may talk (about noms & evictions)?
- Length of time permitted to stay is at BB’s discretion.
- All other house rules must be followed in the SR.
- FNL winner becomes HOH.
- HOH must not cook, clean, or tidy house at any time.
- HOH decides who does their laundry.
- HOH decies their evening meal and who cooks it.
- HOH must keep the house functioning at all times.
- HOH is in charge of designating jobs.
- Other HMs can’t refuse a task from the HOH.
- HOH will chair Wednesday night dinners.

The “HoH” also gets dinner in the “Strategy Room” with a houseguest of their choice. Travis chose Renee and the real winner, Nathan, misses out.

Actually nothing changes in this actual power: last year, the FNL winner was allowed to talk about nominations in the rewards room with its guest. The winner was also in charge of designating jobs and decided who does their laundry.

David was dull, but Saxon was annoying and dull. Neither brought anything remotely watchable to the show IMO Saxon didnt do anything interesting - and all conversations where triggered by either Nobbi, Rory or Ben.

His "I want to be a good guy" act was lame, and I'm glad he is gone.

Also, I'm pretty confident Saxon had the lowest number of public votes.

Rebecca isnt as out-spoken as Saxon, maybe. But we need Rebecca's in the house or else it all gets a bit too much and very predictable.

If we had all Saxon and all Rorys - the show would be so predictable. We need housemates like Rebecca & Alice, as they make the show lightly more unpredictable. She is intresting because we dont know who she likes/dislikes - therefore, we dont who she will vote to evict. If Saxon had stayed, we would know everyweek. I'm not a fan of Rebecca, but these housemates need to stay for at least the first couple of weeks, and them we can start picking them off.

EDIT: Although, I think it doesnt matter how many times Rebecca is in Bottom 3. She will never be evicted.

You're right on that. The producers wanted to bring a cast of big personalities, so far it works but they also brought some 'BB06 - BB07' housemates type. Therefore I'm scared the strongest ones as Nobbi, Terri, Dixie will take the boot before Alice, Rebecca, David, Ben or Brigitte.
So in both eviction ways, the big characters are screwed.

So either you get things predictable but you keep the big ones in it or unpredictable...but in the battle of the bores !

However, the one aspect of process I dislike is that the HOH is forced to save one of the bottom 3. The HOH should have a choice weather ot not to save one of the nominees.

Yes, I know. It is the only thing that ruins the eviciton format (that and we dont find out the percenatges). It means that the person who recived the lowest number of votes could be saved, while the person 4th from the bottom is automatically nominated. Plus, it means the HOH could be nominated.

Today's daily show is the best since the beginning of the show, so many things happened: Brigitte freaking out, wants to leave and does not want to eat anymore. I think that part is just legendary, funnier than Jen in BBUSA in front of her photo frame.

Also, the Big Brother Airlines is just awesome. One of the best thing it happened in ages, that is hilarious from beginning to end. I love the 'Bali' room, best designed secret room ever in Big Brother history. Everything is brilliant.

Just got around to watching FNL, and it was good up until the final round.

I dont like Nathan, but it was obvious BB wanted Rebecca to win. In the spelling bee Nathan was asked to spell words like "Timberlake", "McConaughey" while Rebecca was asked to spell "Lohan" and "Cruise". BB purposely gave Nathan a difficult final name to spell, "Schwarzenegger", so that he would fail and Rebecca would win. Although fair play to Nathan, he jut lost out by one letter.

I just finished watching today's daily show and it was brilliant. Really, that was a great moment. Brigitte made all the drama with her task and the housemates deal was genius.
As much as Brigitte is entertainment, I think the housemates are right: she needs to stop moaning and does not deserve anything. Rory and Nobbi were very right: it is unfair for Nobbi because he didn't have such a challenge.

I also think when a decision is made, BB should apply it fully and it was one of the main reason of the previous flops: the producers never respect the decisions.

Shame Rebecca went on Sunday, at the time we were just getting to see her open up and turn interesting. Im not that fond on Dixie anymore, she hated Bianca before and used to slag her off constantly but the moment her and rebecca fell out she instantly became best friends with Bianca. Nathan is really annoying me, what does he actually do? He needs to go.

Rumours that their might be "Intruders" coming soon, so maybe they wanted to make room for them. Also, maybe they saw that the Bottom 3 were all dullards and saw the opportunity to evict two of them.

Travis & Bianca have both been hit with housemate hand gernades.

Travis got Nathans. Travis is now "Big Brother's Early Bird". He will have to rise early evry morning and may not go back to bed.

Bianca got Davids. She is "Big Brother's Night Watchman". She cannot go to bed until all of the other housemates are asleep.

Also, the housemates are currently doing the Box Task from BB6UK.

The latest issue of TV Week speculates that nominations will be returning to Big Brother in their traditional Monday night slot due to producers being unhappy with the time restrictions of the Sunday night show.

The new format for Sunday nights has divided the forumers and indeed individual forumers themselves, though there does seem to be a general consensus that although the new format is ensuring the bigger characters stay in the house, the actual eviction show isn’t the event it once was and is too dominated by the voting process.

TV Week also reports that the intruders are on stand-by, plus more “snap evictions” are planned for the next few weeks.


Not sure what to think yet. It seems BB is backing out. There are easier way to make the show go smoother then bringing back an old format.

Rhianna seems interesting even though I thought the thing under her name said I go pregnant at 12 years old when I first saw it (it actually says, I got knocked up at my year 12 formal)

I don't think it's a good idea. I mean, the producers do that every year because of the censorship. I mean come on, leave them alone. The last 2 years were boring because there was no big argument but only nice and gentle behaviours to each other because of that 'Swearing ban'.
