Omg I can't wait! I've been waiting for her new album for ages! I really didn't like My December. I thought it too depressing and grungy for me. I really hop she cheers up in this one, and the new single sounds great! Go Kelly! :D

With the new image of her single covers I can pretty much guarantee a happier album, its a lot more siwrly and pink. Unlike the dark edgy cover of My December.

I am glad she did My December though, it wasn't pop and it established her as a real artist and not just a pop star. In my own opinion some of her best songs are on there and some of her worst songs are on there, songs like 'Sober' and 'Maybe' a pure genious songs!

Kelly Clarkson will reportedly return January 19th when "My Life Would Suck Without You," the first single from her upcoming fourth album, hits radio. Rolling Stonegot an early listen to a few tunes from the still-untitled disc (expected out March 17th) and can report they are, in two words, totally awesome. Reports that Clarkson was making a country record were incorrect - the new album is stocked with primo pop hits reminiscent of Breakaway.

Clarkson left fans a video message (above) where she announces a Website change (she's ditching kellyclarksonweb.com for kellyofficial.com). She also established a voice mailbox where fans can call in for updates on all things Kelly. Clarkson previously posted in late October that she had finished recording her new album, the former American Idol winner's first since 2007's My December.

I would take those lyrics with a pinch of salt, a friend of mine with good connections said this:

Those aren't the lyrics. Sanity doesn't exist.

Plus others think the person who wrote the lyrics were trying to hard to relate it to the theme of the video, I don't believe the lyrics, they don't sound very kelly-ish. We will see, but I doubt they are true, if the people I talk to dont believe them then I dont.

I was about to post about the album title. I would FAR much prefer Masquerade over AIEW. And I must say I really hope that she doesn't choose the Katy Perry songs, they are pathetically bad.
I think someone over at the place I get info said that the duet was not gonna be on this album, but they did do a duet, and could possibly be on his album. But I must say there is a LOT of hype surrounding this single/album. Im just worried its gonna be breakaway 2.

As our Twitter followers already know, we went to Sony HQ earlier today. Our mission was to have a little listen to the new Kelly Clarkson single, 'My Life Would Suck Without You'.

What's it like? Well, you cannot escape the fact that the intro is so similar to 'Since U Been Gone' you will probably think you are indeed listening to 'Since U Been Gone'. Lyrically the song does actually lend itself to thoughts of being a sort of 'Since U Been Gone Part Two' and one could, at a push, see it picking up that song's story four years on with Kelly realising that despite the earlier song's defiant howl of independence she does, in fact, want her ex back. 'My Life Would Suck Without You' is about the fella returning tail between legs ("guess this means you take back what you said before, like how much you wanted anyone but me") and a relationship starting up again and being quite jolly in spite of all the previous nonsense.

The chorus goes "we belong together now, forever united here somehow, you got a piece of me and honestly my life would suck without you". Except it's not just "my life would suck without you", it's "my life (MY LIFE!) would suck (WOULD SUCK!) without you". "I know that I've got issues but you're pretty messed up too" is another good line; we also like the middle eight bit with "being with you is so dysfunctional, I really shouldn't miss you, but I can't let you go".

It is structured like this:

1. Long intro with 'Since U Been Gone' guitary noise.

2. Vocal joins guitary nose with drumbeat.

3. Song explodes into chorus.

4. Song pulls back into second verse.

5. Chorus

6. Middle eight: everything drops out, 'Since U Been Gone' guitar noise starts up underneath vocal, drumbeats and Since U Been Gone guitar noise lead into big whooshing noise into...

7. Chorus which leads to hilarious 80s rolling synth drumfill thing (we don't know what it is but you'll know what we mean when you hear it) which leads to...

8. Final chorus, sudden end, guitar noise, 'fin'.

There is no bridge. NO BRIDGE! Production is halfway between 'Since U Been Gone' and Pink's 'So What', with some drum machines chucked in. The song is three minutes and thirty two seconds long - only two seconds away from the Optimum Pop Duration - and comes in at about 145bpm. This BPM means that nightclub rotation will inspire more in the way of hands in the air/pointing/shouting than proper dancing. The song is better than anything Kelly did before 'Since U Been Gone' and it's also better than anything she's done since 'Since U Been Gone', so it should keep people happy. It is a pop song.

That's FAR from the truth. That's actually the opposite. Why would Kelly have released 'My December' if she only cared about money? It was an album in which was completely different to the style of her previous albums and even turned down money to remove songs from that album and replace them with more 'radio friendly' songs. It is the poppiest, and I believe there is gonna be a hint of MD kinda stuff, but the whole album is more upbeat in general. Happier lyrics and faster music, to break the mold of official boy basher song person.

Just listening to this album now... I am currently like a little kid. 'All I ever wanted' is a beast of a song, I love it all atm, there is one song at the moment I'm not keen on but probably just needs another listen.

AMAZING album, its like a mature BA with a mix of MD. Which is perfect for me! If you want to listen, google for it. As I dont want to post the link on more sites than it is already on, quick google search gets you it.

Cry - I cannot stop listening, I relate to this song, its so sad, her voice is mesmerizing.
Whyyawannabringmedown - INSANE SONG!
If no one will listen - Beautiful
All I ever wanted - Catchy pop rock song, love it!
Long shot - Rips Katy Perry's version to shreds.

The only negative about the album is 'Already gone', which is a complete copy of 'Halo'. Her best album yet!

I know you can't really compare them 'cos they're different but I prefer My December to All I Ever Wanted.
idk why but atm, I just hear songs that Katy Perry could've done better [not vocally but in general, they sound like the sorta songs Katy would have a hit with, not Kelly]. Whyyawannabringmedown sounds like something that didn't make Avril's 'The Best Damn Thing' album.
I miss the MD era :(
I hope this grows on me because I'm a huge Kelly fan and I've loved all her work so far. MLWSWY has grown on me so hopefullyyy.

From what I've heard on Youtube I kinda agree. I DO like the songs I've heard and I think AIEW is on par with Breakaway but I REALLY liked MD.

I'll await the album release before I form a proper opinion though.
