Texas itself was like its own country. It's so big and each city was different. Everyone there is so patriotic, but about Texas not America.

Originally we were only going to do California but then we decided on a multi-city trip because it wasn't any more expensive than just going to one state, so it works out cheaper.

I've always wanted to visit Texas, plus I have family there. Mia wanted to go to Florida, which was silly because California has everything Florida has and more, so might as well go somewhere different!

We visited Texas at the worst time though. Even my relatives were telling us that we should've come in the fall.
