I was trying to find out which one is correct and instead got another to add to the list :
a frequent misinterpretation of much older common expression 'fair deuce' meaning fair point, good play (as in tennis), often used informally to recognise good (verbal) comebacks. Hard to distinguish "do's" from "deuce" particularly given regional and american accents which pronounce "u" as "oo"

Due...something owed. Fair Due, something owed that is deserved.
Bit worried by some of the answers out there. ![]() Nevermind, appears that it's an expression. Leave it to me to correct the English on English. lol. Last edited by SharkAttack; 20-10-2012 at 06:54 PM. |

When you search the free dictionary it says:
Fair do's (British informal) something that you say in order to tell someone that you think something is fair Fair do's, Josh. You've been on the computer for hours - let your sister use it for a while! http://idioms.thefreedictionary.com/Fair+do's When you search fair dues it says: Phrase not found in the Dictionary and Encyclopedia That's the end of that then |
