Although what he said is more than awful, I'm glad that it's been exposed. UKIP getting any power in this country is an appalling thing. They're nothing but a backwards and destructive lot.

I think it's also disgusting that he's suggested that gay celebrities coming out of the woodwork is nothing more than a fashion. Nothing makes my blood boil more than when someone suggests being gay is a matter of choice or lifestyle.

I'm no supporter of UKIP, but a lot of their policies are what people have been screaming for... no cuts to front line police, scrap tuition fees and reintroduce the student grant, raise pensions... unfortunately some of their other policies are archaic and bigoted. Oh yeah sure, let's just prevent gay couples from adopting then for the reasons you suggested and continue to portray the message that it is indeed wrong to children. Have you ever thought that perhaps by putting the wheels in motion for reform you might in time end up where something is regarded as normal? If there's more of it, it's less 'deviant' and is less susceptible to questioning and indeed abuse. But nah...***** it, let's just pander to the problem.
