Are women more emotionally stronger than men?
when dealing with emotions that include, jealousy, anger, grief, pride, guilt, affection, disappointment. from my own experience, women have a greater control of emotions such as anger and disappointment, but fall down when it comes to jealousy and guilt. what's your opinion on emotions? |

Some are, some aren't. It's more about personality and character, than gender.

I would say they are far stronger emotionally and have the ability to switch of emotions like robots lol hey they are from venus.
agree the clink in the armour is jealously and guilt but otherwise they are much stronger. us guys we beat our drums and beat our meat lol so when it comes to emotions we get confused and cant handle things. women can be cold as ice. its rare in guys

Many men have been imprisioned for killing their wives/girlfriends out of jealousy - far less women. Men's jealousy is usually more extreme, controlling and violent.

It depends on the situation and person rather than gender IMO. I've known some pretty emotionally strong (or cold) people of both sexes. I think some men find emotions difficult to process due to the conditioning that men don't cry but women express themselves easier that way.

I think it's more socially acceptable for women to speak about feeling and emotions so me keep theirs hidden a bit, it's changing slowly but in the main women find it easier to deal with their emotions as they express them more freely.

All depends on the individual rather than being gender specific.

I think there are no gender specific differences.

If we are being stereotypical..I think women have better control of anger/affection. Where men tend to be better handling jealousy/pride/grief.

Emotional strength depends on the person, not the gender.

Depends on the time of month.
O snap! ...in all seriousness though, there's no specific answer. Even speaking in general - it depends. Women are less able to discuss a topic purely hypothetically without bringing their personal experiences and emotions into the equation and letting them ruin rational impartiality. Men tend to debate logically whereas women are more instinctive in their response. That can be either a positive or a negative. In terms of raw emotion - women seem to have more of a "slow release valve" with emotions like sadness or anger... it builds slowly to a peak and then lingers on. Men on the other hand, tend to bottle up until a pressure point is hit, have an explosion of emotion, and then return to feeling calm fairly quickly. Not sure whether this is biological or environmentally driven, but it probably is in part to do with testosterone and various other hormones, or at least it seems to be. ** DISCLAIMER ** This is of course "the average female" and "the average male" before anyone gets up in arms - there are obviously widely ranging individual differences. Plenty of emotionally driven men and probably at least one female capable of thinking logically out there. Somewhere... |

I would say they are stronger in some senses cause they're generally more capable of being mean to others (mentally, that is) than men (well straight men). Girls are just quite mean in general lol
