Why is Big Brother less popular than Love Island?

Love Island is beating Big Brother in the ratings most days at the moment. Everyone on social media talks about Love Island but hardly anyone talks about BB. The media are talking about LI all the time.

Why has Love Island become more popular than Big Brother? Is it a better tv show?
