Put in the promo and people will give it a chance. Produce a good start and people will stick with it. Love Island did both, BB did the latter. Imagine what the figures might've been now had the launch posted a marginally higher number, since the ratings have been consistent most of the series?
C5's treatment of the show is a disgrace

I agree with that you're saying but to just defend C5 a bit, Love Island also has the fact it's new and fresh going for it. I'm sure it's easier to get people invested in a new concept than it is to get them to stick with a tired one.
