but no one goes crazy with the food shop, went out yesterday to get a few bits for dinner today and it was just like an ordinary Saturday, why can't people approach food shopping at Christmas like this

Pretty much all supermarkets under 3000sq ft are open as normal though, our nearest co op is a decent size and is open 7am-10pm, was really busy when I was in there as well

The local shops are open here Christmas Day as well so that's no excuse!

Anyway the reason I think it's crazy busy before Christmas is because people are getting their last minute stuff for Christmas dinner etc. Not because the supermarkets are closed for one day

its all madness. people buy way to much and I am sure half of it is chucked away and then the day after boxing day they go and refill for new year.
