Default Duo knock on big brother's door!

THEY said 'no way' to the Celebrity Jungle, but Lucan twins John and Edward are in talks about entering the last-ever series of Big Brother.

The Herald can reveal the Grimes twins are being lined up to star on Channel Four's last series of the reality show next year.

The 18-year-old pair, who were believed to be joining ITV's I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here line-up last week after Jordan's shock decision to quit the show, are now said to have turned down an offer as they are already in negotiations to take part in the Big Brother show in January.

"They are the ideal candidates for the show," said a source close to the boys. "Everyone knows them, everyone's talking about them and everyone wants to see more of them.

Exposure

"They're great guys, with great big personalities. Celebrity Big Brother is definitely on the cards, but there are a few issues to iron out still.

"There can be over-exposure sometimes with these things, and that's the last thing the team around them wants."

The boys are even believed to have been given their own private jet in order to honour their publicity commitments.

Last night saw the Dublin brothers fulfil another of their childhood dreams when they were invited to appear on the Late Late Toy Show alongside Ryan Tubridy.

Tomorrow night they will appear on T4's Stars of 2009 in London, with another gig in Glasgow lined up just hours after.

Their X Factor mentor, Louis Walsh, says he's been inundated with offers to book the twins for publicity appearances.

Them going on CBB would make it one of the best CBBs ever!

They could either win it or be voted out first as on X Factor if it was Vote to Evict they would of been out first.

But on Big Brother they arent safe its VOTE TO EVICT and they could come out first.

I just hope they dont though.

Tbh I Cant see it happening
Them going on BB is too good to be true, we always get amazing celebs rumoured for the series and then on Launch night were left disapointed!

This would be one of the greatest ideas ever from BB producers if true. Ratings would pretty much go through the roof as long as their fans are still interested.

Really, really hope this happens.

I just hope the producers dont turn Jedward down for being 'Too Annoying' their not that bad, and the Public will watch the entire show.

Lmao the best part though will be listening to the Boos they get from the haters.

Bull! I bet this is just as fake at the one about them going in the jungle.

Would ruin the last series of bb - it needs proper celebrities in it to make it worth watching - certainly not a couple of untalented, contestants of a tv reality show - who didn't even win!!!!

CBB7 would be great if they did enter. This is what the grimes are made for.

3. Its not about Talent ITS NOT THE X FACTOR Its Big Brother and we dont do Talent, You dont have to have talent to be entertaining on the show.

4. Jedward will probley be 2 of the most famous people to actually set foot in the BB house seeing as the producers never actually get Celebs

WOMBAI is spot on.

More people would switch off than would be attracted.

The thing is this actually could happen - Louis Walsh tried to persuade Stephen Gately to do CBB before his tragic death.

I don't think any more people would switch off because Jedward were on it - the ratings are down enough without them.

Not if you have even the most basic understanding of television and modern celebrity culture...

As much as I hate them, these two would be perfect for Celebrity Big Brother and would make BB relevant watching again for the millions the show has lost since 2007-2009.

Like the ratings can fall any more than they already have? Its the last one, nothing to lose. They might as well give it a go and lets face it the twins are probably more well known than most of those in the line up

Jedward should go on. They are like the best. Despite what anyone else says...this is why they should go on:

1. Big Brother is not a talent show! It's for entertainment!
2. John and Edward are funny, everyone hates them, so people will tune in to see if they get into arguments with anyone.
3. John and Edward are not going in I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here. It was just a piece of speech gone wrong that Caroline Flack said on ITV2 Now. Caroline was just making a joke!

IMO it will be good for ratings... they might as well, BB is an entertainment show, so they fit the BB criteria. And yes they are celebs now, 16m watching and knowing who they are.

I disagree, they are now celebrities, at the moment they are the most talked about people... 16m people know who they are, they should be allowed (and this is from someone that coulsnt stand them and wanted them out of the competition).

Urmm... since when were Danielle Lloyd, Lucy Pinder and George Galloway celebrities... unless being an MP makes you a celeb
