I wouldn't really call QI a comedy panel show, it is quite good though

Celeb Juice is very hit and miss, I don't see the obsession with it. Sometimes you can laugh from start to end but other times it doesn't even raise a smile

Big Fat Quiz is good, 8/10 Cats is past it

Not all the guests are I grant you, but most do occupy the c o m e d y field as opposed to, say, shill fish at the market for a living.

It's a comedy panel show. It's main purpose is to make it's audience laugh, not inform it. The subject matter is largely throwaway trivial nonsense you would find in a childrens whacky pop up encyclopedia. Anyone who watches it to feel empowered and superior is being a bit of a tit.

The BBC commision it as a comedy panel show. That's why they bring on people who try and make the studio audience laugh. You know ... that studio audience that have been brought in to laugh at the panels comedians on the comedy panel show.
