There is no love at first sight. That would mean you measure your love purely on looks. Love can only happen when you get to know the person.

Not always, I fell in love with my ex-fiance straight away, and they were not my usual type and most people would not rate them as hot. I found them attractive, but not in the way I usually find them attractive. they just had this amazing presence.

Its very easy to say in hindsight that you fell in love at first sight. But in truth it wasn't.

True love comes from a knowledge of somebody, not a glance. You can be attracted, intrigued or lustful at first sight. But not in love.

It's just a mushy cliche really.

I don't believe in Love at first sight but I think there can be an instant connection between people, like a recognition of a kindred spirit or something. But this can happen just as easily when its say two people of the same sex who strike up an instant deep friendship like they've known each other for years, but when its say the opposite sex and a relationship follows its easy to say its love at first sight, especially if that relationship lasts, but it also often doesn't last forever, in fact possibly more often than not. There's also the instant attraction lust thing which can develop further if the two people really get on, but I still don't believe it was love in the beginning but led to it from a mutual attraction

No, well depends what your definition of love is. The way I see it love is earned over time by knowing the person and by how they treat you and if they're there for you.
