Evening folks.

Now, Caroline wasn't really a main feature of tonights HL's unfortunately, but what we did see was rather interesting. It seems Becky's in her sights at the moment, which isn't a problem with as she's annoying. But I'd like to take you to the bathroom convo with Shivonne (sp). She was playing a bit of the poor me act yet still constantly bitching. But notice how she was bitching about Becky, then said she doesn't think she's all bad, and then straight back to bitching. This leads me to one word and pretty much sums up Caroline - Rationalisation.

The reason she is able to be so cunning, callous and downright mean is she's able to rationalise in her head why she says it and how she is somehow the victim. So no matter what situation, and how bad she comes across, she's always able to somehow work out that she is being wronged. This stops the breaks and basically is why she comes out with all her odd and inappropriate comments. Now we know she has no breaks, can the HM's figure it out in time? With this bunch I doubt it, looks like Cunning Caroline is setting herself up for the win.

Totally disagree. I think she just is a bit leftfield. From everything she says she was clearly not the 'popular one' at school and clearly went to a good school. I think she is still quite young/immature but shes quite honest most of the time (as much as anyone can be in that situation)

I thought what she said about Becky was fine, she was annoying her, its not as though she character assassinated her or anything. Was just an isolated conversation with someone whos not really a gossip or part of a particular group.

She is 20. There's only so long she can get away with that one. Seems a trend on BB the last few series, "oh they're young so it's ok". Also there is a fine line between honest and brutal and she dances on it with almost all of her comments. And let's be fair, she wasn't exactly making Becky look great, saying she was sitting on her and pawing food.

I agree with this. They're locked in a relatively small space with 14 people they don't know, they're bound to get on eachothers nerves

She also has to press home hard that her reasons for her comments are justified, therefore her comments are rational and valid.
She effectively dehumanises them and believes that it is personally offensive for them to be in her presence, describing chris as a 'beast' and suggesting becky was 'pawing' at her food.
By reducing her targets to animals she is able to justify her affront at being trapped in a house with them.

Caroline was controlling the game when nominations could be talked about, but sadly it appears now BB has sussed her out by revealing her plans to get Becky out.

I feel a weaker, diluted version of the cunning Caroline thesis, in which she's not quite as cunning as Joe is making out, but still far more cunning than Niamh is alluding too. This is my viewpoint on the matter at this point.
