I had lessons last year, passed my theory but failed my practical. I've yet to pick it up again...I kinda cba in a way.

I was a bit like that, I was 24 before I learned, I lived in the City at the time so I didn't really need to drive. I can't remember how I survived without my car now though

Do you drive manual or auto in NY Kaz? I drove both when I was in the States. It took a bit to get used to changing gears with my right hand but soon get used to it don't you?

Yes I love driving, I thought I wasn't that bothered about it but then my parents pretty much forced me to have lessons and since I passed it's great just being able to rock off anywhere in the old Corsa whenever I feel like it, that was a good 2 years ago too so the novelty hasn't worn off yet. Hell of a lot more convenient too

Yeah I felt that way too, I did 3 months of lessons when I turned 17 but my instructor was terrible (he smoked cigarettes while I drove...) and I had no passion for it at all, then when I was 19 and home from uni for the summer my mum decided to book me a theory test so I had to learn theory without having driven a car in like two years, which I passed, and then it was due to expire this summer just past so I started learning to drive again and managed to pass in 65 days which I was pretty proud of. I have a passion for it now but I think I'm quite nervous because I really wasn't learning for very long and then I had to go back to uni so I've barely driven a car since I passed in August.

Yes...I had my first lesson on my 17th birthday...just glad I passed before they brought in the theory test. All we had to do was answer a couple of questions from the highways code that the examiner asked.
