Scream 1-2-3 (and Scream 4 when it comes out)
Just love them. Scream was the first horror film I watched. I was eight and I remember being petrified!!

Mine's "The Shining".

I could watch this for hours and not get bored, I still now after about 10 viewings pick things out that I didn't realise or perhaps didn't understand beforehand.

I think what makes it more "terrifying" other than what you see is that fact that you have to mentally calculate the turn of events in the movie in order to 'get' it which opens your mind up to what is actually going on as oppose to basic "actors - plot - end result".

Such a clever movie full of twists, turns and suspense. Kubrick is/was a genius!

Y'know, I've never really been a fan of the Scream series. Don't get me wrong the original was great but I'm not keen on the others. The new one doesn't seem up to much either tbh from what I've read.

I can't remember what it's called. But it was aaages ago I saw it. Probably like 5 years ago. It was about this mum and baby and I remember it was all dark and she was holding the baby, then all these doors and floors were creaking. Can't even remember what happened now, know I loved it though.

The Ring was the one I found most scary (remake)

The Uninvited was the one I thought was the best film and it was creepy too

REC definitely.

28 Days Later is also one of my favourite films ever and some people class it as horror but I wouldn't really..

Scream 1 and 2. I even liked 3 but would argue it's more of a comedy than the first 2.

I wrote an essay on the Scream movies and seem to find something new each time I watch them whether it's a recurring theme, motif, movie mistake, character development, satire element, interesting trivia etc

I'm not a huge fan of scary movies, but What Lies Beneath kinda scared me at bits..

Oh and the original Texas Chain Saw Massacre. I remember my OH telling me not to watch it on my own when he was going out one night. I scoffed at him and said "i'm hardly going to be scared am I??" Hahahaha.. when he came in I was watching the end with a cusion over my face! The bloody continual screaming exhausted me!

Usually no film scares me but I love Thriller and Horror movies, things that can happen really trouble me but SAW was a film that had me quite nervous when watching it for the first time.
Probably that one because it was some time before I watched it again after seeing it the first time.

I love the scream series but only the first one is worth the praise, the second one's good but inferior to the original and the 3rd one was pointless. The new Scream is going to be a trainwreck.

When it comes to Horror films I'm not sure what my favourite is, I'll have to have a think.

The Excorsicm of Emily Rose.

A Nightmare On Elm Street, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Scream, Hostel or Saw. The Descent is also pretty good.

Oh I like loads of horrors, wierdly I like being scared and the tension.

I love the Final Destinations and Saws, dont know what film is my favourite though, hmmm... The Hills Have Eyes is quite good, when the tree is set on fire it sh!t me right up, lmao, and Eden Lake is really good too which was mentioned in a different thread, very sad though.
