The more this goes on, the more I think Jordan is totally confused, afraid of his own feelings and of losing control of them. I honestly think he has a deep rooted fear of rejection and of getting hurt.

This, in turn, is confusing Matty because of all the mixed signals, and leaving poor Henry feeling cast aside and hurt. It’s ironic that he is subjecting others to what he fears the most.
