Default Dave Just Said That Ben Was ..

a common thief!! ... He was saying that Ben took his (Daves) Cookie from the fridge one day.
And No, he wasn't joking .. his face and (raised) voice were deadly serious!
I DETEST this guy, he was all over Ben earlier, telling him how he (Dave) went to pieces 'after you left Benny' .... !!
As I've been writing, the others (John) started sniping about Ben and Dave is now doing his usual thing of 'sticking up' for Ben ..
Dave starts the c**p then makes himself 'champion' of the person he's slagged off!
Thats the bit (if any) that'll make it to the HLs ... again! Dave will look like a true Gent ... AGAIN!!

He was saved because the people he were up with were ones people wanted out more. He needs to get over that.

I truly believe that Dave thinks, he believes the public love him, cause he has survived 4 evictions now, i know wont probably happen but i would love see Sam through to final, just to sicken Dave, cause he believes, he think that Sam will go first on Friday, can you imagine if Sam gets thought to the final, & Dave goes on Friday.

And some people think he actually gets a bad edit.

I don't like Dave but I have never and would never write about this if there was any doubt ar all ... this wasn't a subjective, mis-reading of Dave, no 'difference in humour' .. it was a flat out statement which conveyed clearly that he was serious!

... Sorry Julie, my eyes got skewed .. I misread, thought you said it was a joke lol!!

Exactly, most people dont really seem to get Daves dry sense of humour, there was nothing mailicous behind it all

As I said in the other thread, whenever Dave was "slagging" Ben off, which is what people have been accusing him off, it was clearly just friendly banter. I remember him saying after he was evicted that Ben was his best mate in the house, and he's said a few times that he would have walked if Ben had been evicted instead of Govan. He's even been defending him just now to Josie

Sorry, you might be right that he joked with Ben about it ... I don't know ....... but I can tell you he was 100% serious just now ....
I honestly (as much as I dislike him) wouldn't say it if I thought I might be mistaken.

I saw it on LF and it was a straight faced joke, taking the piss...like the lord faunteroy stuff, Ben goin to dinner with his mum etc etc...

Do you honestly think that if Ben took that stuff as "serious", that they would be friends? ...it's a comedy duo!!! nothing more.

Dave's dry sense of humour is often used as an excuse for his hypocritical behaviour. Isometimes wonder if he really believes he is a good person and is actually deluded. He certainly seems to think the public love him.

I'm sick to death of his pained expression when he tells people what a good and honest person he is. He hardly stopped slagging "good old Benny" off for an hour after Ben left.

I detest the man with a vengeance and so hope he goes on Friday

You folks are REALLY taking things WAY too serious, if you honestly believe he or anyone could think someone is a common criminal for stealing a cookie!!! ...it's a joke FFS...it's absolutely ludicrous.

THAT IS THE WHOLE POINT OF THE JOKE!!!

Ben wasn't there ... I don't know what you saw .. if it was in the taskroom slagging Ben off and ending up with that remark, then you are not being honest ... it wasn't ambiguous .. he was serious !
Yes, I think Ben would still be his friend for two reasons:
Ben is much too nice for his own good.
Ben has more Christian goodness than Dave could ever even aspire to.
Comedy duo? Only to Bens face, on his own Dave used Ben as his fallguy/stooge ... thats exactly what he's doing now on LF!

I've watched Dave make snide remarks about his 'friends', for weeks now but frustratingly they never show it on the HLs ..
I have been told a million times that I've misconstrued what I've seen/heard.
Dave has spent the past two hours being a real snake about his mates again ...
taking it too seriously? The frustration of seeing it again knowing full well BB probably wont air it again beggers belief ... as does the constant taunts re 'lack of humour' etc ... etc ... from his fans!!

I saw it, it was in the kitchen after he left...when Dave was going into the fridge. The humour is - having a laugh about Ben's behaviour once he's gone - and that's acceptable in their friendship, if it wasn't Ben would have had a go at him when he was in the house (from footage he's seen since he left), as another poster said it was NOT malicious.

Honestly...tell me, who in their right mind believes that someone is a "common criminal for stealing a cookie"?

I'm beginning to think thats just it, Dave isn't right-minded! He had been bitching about Ben, saying Ben was a thief etc etc ... he then embarked on the Cookie remark which yes, is a stupid thing to be serious about ... but he did!!

Well he works at conning people. He is at it in the BB house trying to con people into keeping him in. He thinks because Ben was voted out that makes him more popular. These housemates don't realise why people vote housemates out. In Ben's case he was voted out by JJ fans nothing at all about his character.

In fact the house became boring when Ben was out.

Dave thinks if he brings up Ben's faults again he will get the votes of people who disliked Ben. This will not happen.
