Well, this is the one scene in Corrie where the audience can decide what happened, was it really Vera's spirit who came to collect her dead husband or was it just nothing more than the final thought in Jack's mind?

Memory IMO, you don't get a bus to heaven

I think her spirit too, it's nice to think they're reunited in death

Well, in the pub it showed Jack getting confused (thinking Carla was Peters partner) so I think just a muddled up vision as he passed on
I guess the producers wanted to make the cryptics think it was plausable if he was confused

ikr, Doesn't Steve own a cab company anyways?
Sure he wouldn't wind dropping them off.

They're pensioners though, they'd have a bus pass

The bus was a metaphor, for Jack's death
Jack caught the bus = Jack dies and is taken to the afterlife by Vera |

Hope Molly squirms knowing Jack was disgusted with her when he died

ik, But I still think it was a memory, I think if I was dying talking about the Bus as a metaphor would be something I'd want to hear

Jack has always loved Vera and he was thinking of her when he died listening to those old 45's. He wanted to be reunited with her and he knew he was dying. He must have felt some comfort in that chair. She was the last thing on his mind and he wanted to be with her.

Spirit for me; I loved that line about the bus, was so fitting for the scene and it made an incredibly sad moment slightly humourous.

Get it? Got it? Good!

I think it was quite obviously Vera coming to get Jack, her spirit. That's why they had the camera shot go through the house & up out of the roof to signify them going to heaven... If it was a memory surely they would have just used a bit of old footage...

Why the hell is everyone acting like it was so sad?
It wasn't ![]() I watched it earlier and it wasn't sad at all, even when they found him dead the acting was poor and there was hardly any emotion shown at all. No drama. I feel sorry for the guy though but he went peacefully, was hardly sad and tear jerking stuff. And I really wouldn't call this the best episode of Corrie EVER although I haven't seen them all I do know there's been at least 3 I seen far better than this dull moment.

I watched Coronation street and Eastenders tonight for the first time in ages and Coronation street was streaks ahead of eastenders... the storyline's in Coronation street look more interesting and the Acting is much much better... that new lauren is ****e
and Ian beale is still in it when he should have left years ago, the only time i ever really liked eastenders more then Coronation street is when Sharon was in it years ago and she was going out with that fireman tom... it has truly gone down the ****ter now..Coronation street's episode tonight beats any episode from eastenders i have seen in the past couple of years at least

No, because it was Jack's spirit dancing with Vera's... He was already dead in the chair...

I think it was her spirit, either way it was beautifully executed.
