Remove 'sinister' and 'fixed' from the second answer and then we have a winner. Though the same happens in most large, commercial, entertainment TV shows nowadays.

I think if anything, the "bigness" and controversy of X Factor will die down next year since I dunno... Simon's focusing on XFUSA. He probably daydreams and thinks of it when the contestants are actually singing.

A mix really. It's light hearted weekend TV that lets face it, we all watch but it makes millions. But remember it makes bucket loads for many contestants too and gives them lives they could only dream of

limited options.

All TV shows have to make money one way or another. XF is no different in that respect. I dont believe its fixed in regards to actual votes....viewers do ultimately choose the winner.

The only manipulation is maybe in the editing or the judges opinions. But even then, its up to viewers do be smart and cut through the BS. Just vote for who you enjoy. Simple.
