A box of chocolates would have been sufficient.

So you would spend £1,000 on two people you've known for a few weeks

Or 63% felt spending that amount of money on two people you have known for 8 weeks is excessive... Would you spend £500 on a present for someone you have not known for long??

If I was in the house with them, if I liked them and was spending their birthday with them, and if I'd just been given a free £10,000 then I'd consider it

If I had just received £10,000, minimum, and I considered them friends yes. Why not?

I enjoy giving people presents and I have spent relatively (to the money I had at the time) more then that on presents to people I like.

But if you & two others had agreed not to would you then go back in, behind the third persons back, & buy the presents & not tell said third person?

If I had that much money the first person I would spend it on is me!!! Then my mum, siblings and my son(if I had one). The last thing I would do is spend 500 ****ing pounds on some little ****s I have been forced to live with for 9 weeks...

More like realistic....Aaron wanted to get them something but not to the value that BB was suggesting....

....and of course keeping in line with the present economical situation who wants to see money thrown down the drain just to make you look good... ie Jay and Louise will squander money rather than respect its value.

But they should still have told Aaron that they were, it made it look like they did it deliberatley to make Aaron look bad...

Who has recieved 10,000????... Jay has 15,000 going into his bank and Louise has 5,000....Aaron has 990.00.
Their is NO guarantee they will all do what they verbally agreed to do. I wouldnt trust Jay or Louise to stick to their word....so spending that sum of money of which they are guaranteed a nice piece was of no big deal to them.

Get a life please.... some of these people will agree to anything if it makes them look good....doesnt mean they are going to do it...or have to for that matter.

lol no.

He would probably just sulk for 3 days about 'emotional blackmailing' him or something and whine about sticking by his 'principles', or whatever else that would get him camera time. You lose either way with Aaron, walking on eggshells around him trying to not set him off.

I would also assume that he was comfortable with 'screw you jack' game play, as demonstrated by him, and play it accordingly.

Look, Jay and Lou did it for the cameras, just as Aaron has been doing everything for the cameras all season. How come their game playing is condemned and his is celebrated?

I would be willing to spend money that I didn't even have in my hand yet especially if I would still be leaving 3500, 12 500 or 9500 richer. I like watching people get gifts and see the enjoyment they get from them, but I wouldn't spend 500 out of my own bank account, if it was money I didn't have yet I wouldn't be so attached.

louise was going out with a night club owner before she entered the house

do you think she would consider Tom, alex, or even Jay her friends on the outside, I doubt it,

You can doubt it all you like, but it's just assumption on your part.

I can't see who Lousie was dating having anything to do with it though TBH. I worked nightclubs when younger and hung out with 3-4 club owners on a regular basis...I am not sure why you think people that date them can't have friends like Alex etc

Aaron knew what was going on, so people can stop this 'but poor Aaron was in the dark for the whole time' nonsense. Secondly, if Jay and Louise want to spend that kind of money on friends, why shouldn't they? Because the 'Lord' of the house says no?
