Default Voting Today (Thursday 22nd) UK make sure you do

Voting Today
for Some Local and some MEP's for Europe.

Now You must vote
or you are part of the Problem.
Most places open at 7AM
until late.

If you have a voting card take it with you
so the people struggling with lists get a easy ride.
You do not have to take it, of course.

I fear looking at the reports of weather across the UK that there will likely be a low turnout again.

I will of course be voting.Really effective opening posts arista, good one.

Remember to register your protest today by voting UKIP otherwise Govt's will continue to sell this Country down the river.

Planned future EU directives

More EU law incl Human Rights Bill (Terrorists freedom Charter)
More of our Taxes to Brussels
Planned EU Army
Planned EU Direct taxation for EU Federal Govt
Unlimited Immigration from all EU Countries + possibly also Turkey in 5-10 years time

We might as well just close down Westminster and accept direct rule from Brussels

The people who fought and died in two World Wars to keep this country independent and free would turn in their graves if they could see what has happened to the UK in the last 40 years.

A vote for UKIP is not a protest vote, spoiling your ballot paper is. Like seriously, draw a cock on it...it'd be more worthwhile than voting for Farage's cronies

It is simple arista, sadly a good number of people look for any reason to say they didn't bother voting and when the weather is unpleasant, that is the main one.
I really doubt we are going to learn a great deal today from these elections.

In the general election, all parties will be getting far more airtime while the run up to these elections today have seen UKIP plastered, good and bad, over the TV screens for weeks.

I expect UKIP will however do very well indeed.
Also if Labour gain more than 200 council seats and the Consersvatives lose same, although that is hardly a great move,it would represent that no way will the Conservatives win the 2015 election on such figures.

Sorry Nedusa,I love your posts and agree a great deal of the time with you as you know but I could never vote UKIP, I am firmly a supporter of the EU even with it's faults and I recall my Grandfather saying to me that in his view the EU was a good thing too,he saw the 2nd world war as a hopefully final means to end wars in Europe for good.
In his view, the EU has helped that process in the joining of Nations together.
A different take on why such wars were fought but for me I cannot support anti EU parties.

I certainly also don't want any referendum on the EU until we are 100% sure of getting the full info as to the EU,(the great benefits from it as well as the unpopular things too, fairly debated and relayed by the media and govt.to us), which could have us sleepwalk out of the EU.

Really..........600 years of democracy people (women) dying to get the vote and your answer is not to vote but rather to spoil your Ballot paper by drawing a cock on it.
