She hasn't been watching this series at all and has no idea about any of them, just saw about 10 mins of those two interacting last night, and said:

"What is this? ...he's like a spoiled child with a new toy."

Sums it up pretty well I think... and interesting from the perspective of someone who hasn't been watching it develop, is just seeing them as they are now.

Steven is like a brat with a doll, it's really quite creepy...

Steven has been a bit less with Kim since he heard the crowd on Friday. Plus, now he is doing a Cilla Black impersonation by trying to get others to "Couple up" to take the heat off him.
Steven, the "Kim relationship" is not the only reason people don't like you.............you are a creepy, controlling, self-obsessed twat.

I've started to feel quite bad for Kim. I don't think she "loves" him, obviously, but I do think she's just a plaything that he was trying to use for his narrative. For all of her early attempts to appear stoic / well held together, I think she's a very insecure girl, especially with relationships, and she's sort of latched onto him now...

He's the Cringemeister. I doubt if anyone will do business with his company when he gets out. He should have stayed home and got on with his life. I suspect the reason he's had a rocky road with relationships in the past is because he is SO controlling. He just isn't savvy and he's lazy. To have liposuction instead of losing weight is a bit yuk…There's something about him (maybe his neediness and requirement for instant gratification...no matter what) that really makes me want him off my screen...

Thank god someone else can see the truth. I thought I was on my own in this one. Kimberly is the biggest gamer in there and Mark and Chris come a ver close 2nd and 3rd. Ashleigh is also at it like Danielle but their game plans are pretty open and weak.

i think theres a line you dont cross even in a game show, shes well and truly crossed it.....cheating , faking , hurting...she'll do irrepairable damage to stephens mental health from which he wont receover. he is an idiot, hes not quite the full shilling but the way shes playing him is really really cruel.

I don't disagree that Kim is playing a game but I do disagree that it makes her "worse" than Steven. I'm not a Kim fan by any means, and yes she is playing a game, but she's playing the game of using her sexuality to attach herself to a man to get further... which is largely down to low self-esteem. I also think that although it started as a game, she is becoming emotionally dependant on him, again because that's probably the sort of relationship she's had with men for most of her life. She doesn't seem strong, or confident. She's playing a game but she seems a bit... lost.

Why Steven is more sinister: because I don't think the way he is with her IS entirely down to it being a game / trying to manipulate things, although his involvement in a "showmance" at all certainly is, the way he actually is with her... is just how Steven is with women. Possessive and objectifying. He doesn't look at her like she's an individual, he looks at her like something he ordered online, and he gets bratty and frustrated when she doesn't "work like she's supposed to". It makes me shudder to watch.
