Wherever you live, or have visited that stood out to you... do share
![]() I have been to a LOT in the UK (and a few out of), but the ones that stand out to me: Favourites: London (literally BEAUTIFUL place, even some of the trashy areas you get SO MUCH FUN (who are always up for a laugh, genuinely great/fun people to hang out with). I've visited the entire BEST and WORST parts of the city and I've got to say both are amazing. Gahhhh I've made so many friends over the years ![]() Birmingham is GREAT too. ![]() Least favourites: Hmmm this is difficult because I haven't been to many BAD places but the only one that stands out for me is Manchester. The people there were soooo rude (in almost EVERY place my friend & I went to lol) and in general like the area is such a vile/disgusting place. That is based off of the city centre though, maybe it's different for other areas idk ![]() |

Who, Douglas?

Favourite: Nottingham - I just have great memories there from uni and family moving there afterwards. My best friends live here also
![]() Least: Manchester - the people from my experiences have been very rude

Aberdeen is on average the wealthiest city in the entire UK (all that oil dollah) - yes including London - and has the highest disposible income by a mile (because cost of living is low compared to other wealthy cities)...
... And yet... It manages to be both incomprehensibly boring, and ****ing ugly to boot. It's really quite an achievement. |

Favourite - Manchester, lovely people, lively atmosphere, nice accent
Least - London, dirty air, rude people, stinks, full of rubbish, west end is nice though

Fave: Liverpool - fantastic nightlife, really friendly locals and really inexpensive for a city. I might be biased as I live here for uni but I just adore it.
Least: I don’t dislike any I’ve visited but I found York pretty boring - the nightlife was tragic too. It’s cute for being a tourist for a day but I’d leave it there. Last edited by Daniel-X; 02-08-2020 at 06:41 PM. |

![]() I've traveled a lot in my life, but I will give it a try. Faves: Marseille, Saint Petersburg, London, Paris, Montreal. Least: that's a tough one because I always try to see the good in every place I travel to. But I will say Pristina in Kosovo, even though I liked it but there's a lot of work to be done. But the people are very nice.

I think the UK is a fantastic place in terms of cities. My top five (in no order):
London Brighton Edinburgh Bath Manchester. I think I’m one of few people who loves both London and Manchester ![]() |

![]() I really liked Canal Street when I last went to Manchester. I’ve also been to Old Trafford Centre a few times and really liked it there for shopping. |
