It goes without saying that anyone of any sexuality can be any sort of person and usually are frequently enough but at the same time it can hard to see someone’s radar as exclusively honed in on the opposite sex when they have certain suggestive mannerisms, and I do see them with Segun, with that slight-but-definite element of camp to half of what he says or does. I’m afraid this is gonna have to be another one of Redway’s polls but seriously, I’m just curious to hear what people think.

Nathan said he doesn't want to put a label on it, and Ali has had previous relatonships with men, and no we dont question everything, we are not questioning if Lily is a closet Lesbian because she spends all her time with Ali

I don't understand the speculation here at all.

This constant challenging of a person's stated sexuality is a bit weird... Why not just accept what a person says they are? Can you imagine if I was questioning if the gay lads in there were not really gay but just pretending to be in order to pander to a part of the viewer base? It would be called out instantly.

But, no... Camp, even if I saw that in him, does not mean gay.

I have known plenty of effeminate camp men who are not gay.

It's the same as calling women that showed even the smallest masculine trait a lesbian.

Segan can be whatever he wants to be. He isn't actively misrepresenting himself by having a fake showmance. To me, he is just a bloke trying to have fun in a trying environment

He just … I dunno. I dunno. There’s a certain campness (not a loud, blatantly exaggerated one, obviously) in how he talks and acts half the time. It’s not necessarily bursting out of him in open swathes but it’s there. He could be like that and straight, of course, but to me he just seems like he’s not quite straight, but only half the time. There’s a tendency to tonal camp in the way he talks (and not just because of his lisp) but it happens only occasionally rather than all the time.

It does amuse me when people come down on the recent male casts of Big Brother, because the people doing the complaining are usually the exact sort of people who've made it so that these wishy washy, non-confrontational types are basically the only kind of men you're allowed to see on reality tv anymore.

I do feel sorry for the neutered types, where all traces of masculinity has been forcibly removed from them.

But I don't personally believe that a Father having his baby strapped to him, is something to call emasculated basically.

To me it shows that he is a caring Dad, which I view as someone that is mature and has a trait that the Wife is also looking for in her Husband.
