I don't understand the speculation here at all.

This constant challenging of a person's stated sexuality is a bit weird... Why not just accept what a person says they are? Can you imagine if I was questioning if the gay lads in there were not really gay but just pretending to be in order to pander to a part of the viewer base? It would be called out instantly.

But, no... Camp, even if I saw that in him, does not mean gay.
