She said that she thought he'd stay and she thinks he's popular so has a good chance of winning. She didn't like what he said about Nancy either, but you can't really say she was "lying" because it sounded like there were a few reasons for it but she chose what she did/didn't say in that moment, but what she said wasn't untrue. Tbf it all happened so quickly as well, she was probably sure she'd be choosing Richard but since he was already up she had a few mins to decide on saving/replacing others she didn't expect to
