Jon Venables was just 10 years old when he and friend Robert Thompson murdered toddler James Bulger.

Venables served seven years of a life sentence for the 1993 murder before he was freed in June 2001, aged 18. He was given a new name, (John Paul Williams) a job and a flat on his release to try to ensure his security and give him an “ordinary” life.

Had he gone on to lead such a life, that might have been the last the British public ever heard about Jon Venables. But at the age of 27, Venables finds himself back in the headlines and back behind bars having been jailed for two years after pleading guilty to charges of downloading and distributing indecent images of children.

A lifetime ban was placed on reporting anything about either his or Thompson’s whereabouts or their new identities after their release.

The ban relating to Venables was partially lifted on Friday at the Old Bailey after he was jailed for the offences under the 1978 Protection of Children Act. The judge revealed that Venables had been living in Cheshire at the time of the offences, and that the case was dealt with by Cheshire police and Cheshire probation servic e.

It was also revealed that Cheshire police had produced a “threat assessment” to try to establish what could happen to Venables were his new identity revealed. That assessment concluded that Venables would face the highest possible risk of being attacked if his name was either published in the media or known elsewhere in society.

Police had even trained him in counter-surveillance after he was told he would have to “live and hold a lie” for the rest of his life. Venables worked full-time in a job with anti-social hours, earning close to the minimum wage, the court heard.

Then in 2007, he started drinking heavily and taking drugs, including cocaine and the recently-banned substance mephedrone.

On 20 September 2008, he was held on suspicion of affray over a street fight with a man who claimed Ve nables had attacked his girlfriend. Both men were charged with a public order offence, but this was later dropped.

Venables was formally warned by the Probation Service for breaking a “good behaviour” clause in his licence. Three months later, police cautioned him for possessing cocaine, and a requirement was added to his licence ordering him to address his alcohol and drug problems, the court was told.

It was not until February that it emerged Venables had been recalled to prison for breaching the conditions of his release. The Ministry of Justice refused to reveal any details, but the then Justice Secretary Jack Straw did say the recall was prompted by “extremely serious allegations

Thats because UK court decisions arent binding in the Republic of Ireland.

If this site server host is situated outside of the UK, then UK courts have no jurisdiction over it. You yourself living outside the UK cant be touched however, if you were living in the UK you could technically be held in contempt of court for breaching the judges directive.

A prosecution against an individual in those cases would be unlikely though. Unless the site was the official site of a UK organisation like Daily Star website etc.

Theres more pictures on the original site but its down if you paste the link to facebook and scroll through the pictures before you make a post you can see 2 more but again not that clear.

If you try google with the two names, and are offered a link to a uk fishing organisation to do with carp (add a y to that) there are copies of the photos taken off the facebook profile mentioned.

Wonder if this is definitely him, a while ago there was a guy who was apparently him and his details were sent round to loads of people, turned out he wasnt Jon Venables but he recived loads of death threats and stuff anyway.

Photos that allegedly expose the identity of Jon Venables have recently been circulated on the internet – breaching a court order that guaranteed the child-killer anonymity for life following his release from prison.
Venables and Robert Thompson were just ten years old when they lured two-year-old James from a Merseyside shopping centre and tortured him to death in 1993. The pair were released in 2001 having served eight years.

The new pictures apparently show Venables, 28, as an adult and were taken before his re-arrest and subsequent jailing on child pornography charges last year. Venables could be paroled later this month and, if released, will require yet another alias – his fourth. Each identity switch reportedly costs the taxpayer £250,000. Jamie’s mother, Denise Fergus, condemned the cost of protecting her son’s killer.

‘He’s a criminal, not on a witness protection programme,’she told the Daily Star. ‘No wonder the country is short of money since it has cost more than £1million to give Venables new identities. ‘He has been given enough chances and he has blown them all. How long can they go on conspiring with him to live a lie?

‘They say he would be a target for vigilantes but that is because he got away with murder. If he had served the 15 years minimum that the Home Secretary imposed on him in 1994 then he would have been shown to have done his time. ‘If he behaves himself in the future there is not a shred of any real evidence that he would be in any danger of retribution or vigilante action.’
