With all the talk on the new alternative voting system, let us have a mini election.
After few days we can add up the votes and see the results under both systems AV and FPP to see if there is a noticeable difference Limit it to 3 main parties and 3 of the main smaller parties. CON, LAB, LIB, GRN, UKIP, BNP Rank them 1-6. Here is mine to get started 1. UKIP 2. GRN 3. BNP 4. CON 5. LAB 6. LIB |

Nothing in excess

1. GRN
2. LAB 3. UKIP 4. BNP 5. LIB 6. CON Anybody who noticed me placing the BNP below the pathetically inept UK Independence Party would therefore realise I am not endorsing the former. It's just that I would rather live in a fascist country and than the atomised, zero-empathy, antisocial, plutocratic SHITHOLE we are obviously heading towards.

I can't reasonably see them going back on the policies they've adopted as part of the coalition government, because a split in the party is only a matter of time now. The remaining Lib Dems answerable to the existing party hierarchy will be left without a Keynesian or social reformer to their name. All that would be left is a slightly less populist version of the Tory party.
And between the Libs and the BNP, the electoral reform issue is immaterial, as neither party benefits from the FPTP and it would be in both of their interests to reform the system. Plus I like the BNP's policies on the economy and on violent crime. ![]()
