And that right there is the inherent flaw in such polls/surveys. They are often better at concluding that men feel less guilt and are prone to exaggeration, while women feel more guilt and are prone to minimizing details.

And what constitutes a lie in this survey? I mean, women are always telling little white lies. It's fairly obvious when you see a bunch of troll monsters going into a nightclub wearing leggings that make certain members of the posse look like the Michelin Man. Maybe - but as a general rule men have cheated a lot more than women in the past - mainly because they had more opportunity! Times have changed - married women work, have more opportunities and are less likely to fear the stigma previously attached to cheating women!
