Does anyone else ever buy music by artists they tell other people they hate, and you do actually dislike them on the whole, yet somehow they have a song (or perhaps songs) that you can't get out of your head so you have them anyway?


For example, yesterday I bought an Avril Lavigne song. They don't make water hot enough. -vom-

I don't like Lady Gaga, but still think a few of her songs are catchy, I wouldn't buy them though.

I do that a fair few times but having said that even groups and singers I don't really like the style or voices of,have or do usually bring out song/s that I do like so then I would buy it,yes.
For instance,I don't really care much for The Prodigy but I have 4 albums of them and I do listen to them occasionally.

Music I listen to often is decided by what mood I am in on the day.Music is rarely off during the day when I am in and I like all types of music.

If I really dislike an artist I won't buy their music. Unless said disliked artist happens in be in my favourite band then it's unavoidable, damn Robbie.

I would certainly never BUY music from an artist I hate.

But I've always said I liked some tracks from Gaga's fame album. So yeah, I can like certain songs but if this threads specifically about BUYING music then definitely not. I only spend money on artists I support and love.

Yes. I can't stand Lady Gaga but cos I have a few old Now CDs on my phone I've got a few of her earlier (and better) songs so I'm prone to listening to them every now and then

I barely pay for music from artists I like so I'd never pay for music from someone I don't like.

Listen to their songs if I like the actual song though.

Me too. CDs seem so inconvenient now. But I still buy them as gifts.

I hate to sound like a wannabe moral compass but I think it's really ****ty that people download music all the time, it puts artists out of the business and that's the reason why ****e like David Guetta is all over the charts because actual musicians have to go get other jobs in order to make a decent living instead of relying on musical talents waiting to be discovered...
