I don't think this question has been asked before, but what bank are you with?

Sounds a bit random I suppose, but I only just set up an account with the Co-operative and they seem quite odd. I don't think I've heard of nearly anyone else using them.

Plus I was thinking this thread might seem a bit dubious, but I promise you I'm not trying to steal your bank details.

Lloyds, don't really have much use for the bank but they've always seemed pretty good to me, apart from trying to get me to sign up to some new package or whatever every time I go in there

I am lucky and have 2 Santander (formerly Abbey) branches in the Market Place of the small town where I live so I know all of the staff, who mostly live locally, by sight and many by name .....

Starting to irritate me the number of calls I get offering health/injury insurance, premium account offers etc. I'm a pauper living on a student loan and they think I'm gonna spend my spare change on **** like that.

Lloyds were actually awful when I was with them (though I think now halifax and lloyds are the same company?)

I went about 50p overdrawn and they charged me about 30 quid, and kept adding 30 quid per day on for ages so the debt ended up being about a grand. They kept pestering me for this..I said I would pay the 50p that I owed but they were having none of it So i left the 50p on the counter, and told them to piss right off and stop trying to rob me. This was 7 years ago, they still send me letters to this day but the debt is statute barred now

I would do the reclaim bank charges thing but I never paid them so theres nothing to reclaim..no chance of me paying that much for the sake of 50p

Yeah, I dont think they can do this now with all the reclaiming stuff. I think theres a cap on how many bank charges they can add onto you for being overdrawn.
