Since the glamour of the democratic convention has now disappeared , hillarys lead has almost disappeared too, down 5.1% in 4 weeks...without the magical oratory skills of the obamas and bill clinton , jillary cuts a pretty uninspiring figure ....Trump is mocked and for good reason, but hes far better tv and hes getting much bigger crowds too...This could go down to the wire

His statement on Putin will not go down well I doubt so expect normal service being resumed.
Anyway, it is the big States he will have to be winning and Hillary is doing good in them. Even in Texas, the Dallas Morning News, has come out in support for her and that is the first time this publication has endorsed a Democrat since the 1940s. |

This publication has not backed a democrat for the White House since 1944 I believe. Of course it would and will be significant. Last edited by joeysteele; 09-09-2016 at 11:11 AM. |

This is a dark time for America as both candidates seem to be hated, and whoever does win this election will clearly be a one term President as America will throw out their own Tony Blair/David Cameron I'm sure.

Its not down to a popular vote though is it? People are near-certain that Clinton will win because of their constituency-like rules? Right? I dont keep up with American politics much but I don't think the country is anywhere close to doomed yet is it?

It could well be a candidate could actually be leading the popular vote yet not get the numbers needed from the electoral college votes. Hillary Clinton should easily and for me hopefully have some of the biggest States, namely California as an example of one. Last edited by joeysteele; 09-09-2016 at 09:22 AM. |

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump 8 May 2013
26,000 unreported sexual assults in the military-only 238 convictions. What did these geniuses expect when they put men & women together? this person actually has a chance to become the president of the strongest country in the world

He's never going to win and good job too, he's a ****ing idiot. He's nothing but a cheap reality TV star that wants the White House because someone else has it. He's got no political skills, no financial skills and everything he has he's inherited.
He is a spoilt rich kid that never grew up. |

Trump could clearly win, i think. There is not enough distance between them to be sure of a result. When there are 2 such awful candidates, it's anyone's contest

The real point is this, trump has reached this point where hes only now 2.7% away from becoming president of the free world...not because of his political brilliance but because fo the total failure of other political leaders and part of that failure is political correctness gone mad.
